New visual effects for Railgun and Isida

The new visual effects for Railgun and Isida are now in the game. Now, each tank fires its weapon in a way that represents its true functionality.

Isida’s effect used to look like an electric shock. However, its actual function is to repair or damage tanks using a stream of nano-bots. So the new visual effect reflects that.

Railgun’s current effect used to look like a laser turret. In reality, it fires electromagnetic projectiles. Its new visual effect is based on that idea.

Recently in the video blog, we told you about the process of developing new visual effect for these two turrets.

Looks a lot better then before. Isidas improvement looks better then rails but still nice.

Not gonna vote up or down, because I see ups and downs to this update:

 

• Railgun: I think the new Railgun looks cool, but pro shots look... well, less pro.
• Isida: The new Isida looks amazing, but after a minute or two, it makes my brain twist. Get's me tired and dizzy.

I just played a game and the supplies boxes were not working correctly.

 

I would drive over them but not get any supplies.

 

Some worked, some did not.

the rail 'improvement' looks interesting but the isida looks so low-fi. maybe the nano bots should have a wide arc 

Conclusion: isida looks awful and rail is a corkscrew, which doesn't lend well to the shooting straight concept
