maybe, by custom control you mean, you can assign which keys do which action, For example O = turn left, P = turn right. when i want to turn my gun to the right, by mistake i often type "-" which is the key next to "." So i would like to assign the action of "smaller display" to another key than minus.

bro... i mean by it... if we can customize control keys the gaming  is more fun...

 (Eg : Primary key is  "W" for forward and alternative key is "up" if we can chage this keys to other key like shift or Ctrl or any other) like other PC games.... for turning we can use mouse..... etc....

many guys use laptop to play this game so not very broad based development this would be :P but for desktops it would probably be great

hey you cant use all hulls & turtles in same time.... if you want.... you select most suitable combo always for war or game... than why cant we select our control keys?

interesting idea. I do feel we may need this although only minimally. The reason being is that the current settings are really pretty nice, bot the arrows and WASD system, although some keys, such as camera angling, could be changed.
