The Forum,a Frankestein that needs a new lightning?

What has this forum turned into? Where is everyone? What is happening?

Unfortunately,a good part of our veterans left,but still some of them are here..The ones that used to be the old forum

When I just started playing and coming on forum,even though I didn`t really understand what was going on,I was enjoying that..The fun,the troll,the horrible troll (pointing at you,robbie)..Even if it was scary it was fun

You could feel the vibe,and could be a little more open..People were ninja`ing eachother when posting funny pictures or gifs like all day long,there were the troll PM`s..And the most special,the .swf time..I hope you guys didnt forgot Fanten !

And now? Nothing.Absolutely freakin` nothing.

I dont say that back then we could swear or flood 24/7 , because I still remember all the 1 week bans,but,its just..Forum is no longer spontaneous,everything is clear,no more troll..The only thing that still makes the forum enjoyable is POTD

I dont want to hear now someone saying like "Go play some forum games" or "Check the creativity section,its very entertaining"

No.The forum is here to help us chill after some blowing some enemies (not necesarly though),but due to all these limitations,we cant be spontaneous anymore,and that is a big disapointment at least to me

I agree with you, Tanki is now a prison for us in the Forum, so many rules.

Yep, the forum is quite a bit more boring now - I think that's more down to the change in players using it than anything else, to be honest. It seems those actively posting outside of POTD are increasingly getting more and more stupid, with topics progressively less interesting, up till the point where some posts just make you want to bash your head against your computer screen and throw your chicken out the window in frustration...

Just a possibility. I recall Hazel-Rah saying that the players count drops during summer. From 70K to 60K, hence why I thought the logic was applicable, somewhat, to the forum's inactivity.

It left when the clans were reduced to a bunch of social groups and the pros were all moved to Starladder.

To prove my point I will refrence this post http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=184779 almost 75% of the players who contributed to this topic are no longer playing Tanki!

China and Brazil make up about 25k daily users so the EN,RU, and DE communities make up only about 30k users combined now

Then Robbie, who was like the descendant of the troll GODS would fool around POTD and insult CHAMPI0N ^_^

 

The forum was a place where no one sad could be found, where everyone enjoyed about whatever they posted. Nowadays, it's all about rules, helping players (which I have no problem with if you are thinking otherwise), but now, when I go online and look for topics, I feel like I'm the one who has to find the fun, you know, not the fun who finds me.

A gentle reminder that a new generation of tankers is taking over... Its nice to reflect on the past, but keeping old people around will only make tanki go backwards. Maybe the forum will be more spontaneous, or maybe you just simply arnt looking in the right places. I mean, just going topic too topic isnt going to help you find this fun stuff thing...

 

Perhaps you could create drama like me for entertainment XD and have obnoxiously strong and biased opinions. That will cure your boredom quickly XDD
