                                Night-Sisters (aka Project Interviews Mastermind)

Hello, everyone reading this! Today, I’ll be interviewing Project Interviews mastermind and a relatively recent reporter, The Night-Sisters! He, I mean she, is a pretty awesome reporter having written a lot of important newspaper pieces, as well as a few exceptionally humorous ones. So, without further ado, let’s begin!

Penguin aka TrickStar aka me: colour

Night-Sisters aka our interviewee aka Project Interviews mastermind: colour

Hello. So, can you tell a bit about yourself?

Hey. =) My name is Sarah, and I'm a normal-ish teenager growing up in the States. I work a job, help out at home, and try to balance my three main hobbies (writing, guitar, and trail running) with school. I generally like to keep busy, whether it's working in my garden or just chatting with friends.

Whew, nice! So, what brought you to Tanki Online and its forum?

My brother first brought me to the game four-ish years ago. My introduction to the forum was through my clan page. I was directed there by Welshmaster, who originally recruited me to Madness. The clan topic served as a sort of jumping-off point into the forum, where I eventually discovered the off-topic section and the newspaper.

Nice, you're a pretty old player  :) How did you enter the Reporters team? And had you won any writing contests in Tanki before?

Yah, been around for a bit. Not as long as some, but I've seen a fair amount of the evolution of the game. The reporter team first caught my interest after I read Shedinja's Between Tabs series. Before that, the paper hadn't been of much interest to me, but after I browsed into Part IV one day, I realized that there might actually be some decent writing involved in the paper. I started looking forward to reading each issue every month and entering contests, and eventually sent in an app myself and was accepted. On the topic of contests, I did take an honorable mention home at some point... one of Greyat's, I believe. xD

Nice, Between Tabs was one I liked too. It hasn't had any parts after Part VI, which is not the end. But anyhow, let's move into the game itself. What combinations and what maps do you like best? Which combinations would you like to get?

XP all the way!  ;) I'm a huge fan of Railgun... it's cliched, but totally awesome. I would like to get a hold of Vulcan/Mammy M3 at some point and become huge flag camper nug of the year... probably in Kungur, which ever since the Women's Day tournament has been one of my favorite maps. You can also find me haunting Polygon DM, Zone, Rift, or Island, among a couple of other places.

I love Kungur and XP too  :P But continuing our interview, we all know you are an AWC moderator and the founder of Project Interviews. How's all that going? And how is it for you?

Hehe, yes, Project: Interviews finally comes full circle, back to the one who started it. Anyways, it has been soo neat to see the Amateurs Section and Writers Club really take off here. Writers of unexpected caliber have come out into the open, and that in itself is enough to make this so, so worth it. Helping to run AWC and being the main critiquer can get overwhelming at times, especially when multiple people want feedback on their work at the same time. However, seeing other writers learn and improve is an amazing feeling, and I'm glad to be a part of it.

Yeah, everyone feels that way  :) And now, can you share your thoughts on the upcoming Tanki X? And anything new you'd like to see?

Oo Tanki X... I'm of two minds on the subject. On the one hand, the downloadable client sounds promising. However, I don't have the time or willpower to re-rank if accounts are not transferable, so that would be a serious negative. I really like Tanki Online, because the gameplay is complex in its simplicity and I think the developers created a unique, interesting game. The "improved" graphics of Tanki X don't hold much appeal for me at this point, as I care more about the actual physics of playing... that said, I haven't yet sat down and played Tanki X, so I'll wait until I try it out for myself to make a final judgment. And yeah, I would love to see some new maps, and I think we will, too.

Yeah, we will see new maps, the earliest videos and pictures showed that. So, I never asked directly about life as a reporter, so, how's your Tanki life as a reporter? How do you get ideas? Etc.

In a world, being a reporter is awesome. I've got to meet and work with a wonderful group of people. The endless conversations, spam, and |3anter alone are worth joining for. As for ideas, I keep a master list of all Tanki-related ideas in a notebook. Inspiration can come from anywhere... be it Goldrock calling himself a 'big pro' while on-call in a battle (Are You a Pro? came from that xD d3s gold) or the fact that 'pathological' is an interesting word (from whence The Pathological series sprung) I am liable to get ideas from the strangest things. Go figure.

Yea, ideas can come from everywhere. I once was slightly bleeding and the blood formed a bit of a circular shape above the clot. And I then thought of a story called The Blood Ring.  :P But now, we conclude the interview. Any words you would like to say?

Watch out for TSTO. Uh, yeah, inside joke. ;) Um... to all the writers on the forum, keep practicing, improving, and if you write about subjects that are of interest to you, it won't be a chore. *Cough, right, hopefully that wasn't too abysmal. Thanks for interviewing me xD

Thanks for the interview, Night  :)

I'd really like to thank Night for being interviewed and being such a good interviewee. Oh, and credit goes to previous interviews for question ideas  :)
