(This is the completed version of the story, comprising of the parts "An Abduction", "Escape Of Answers" and " The Constatian")

 Part Uno

An Abduction

“A whisper, a roar, a scamper, a scream. What are they?

“Sound. Just measly mechanical waves passin’ by with a frequency you won’t find interesting.”

“That’s what you think Galadrio. A rich man smirks upon a slice of bread, while a real one stares in awe, noticing each of its crumbs, imagining them bigger than his appetite.

“Your analogy is as stubborn as a lion eating grass.”

Galadrio utters a smirking groan, picks his jacket up and leaves like the wind riding the light, leaving behind a confused scientist, who had spent his entire life searching for things that did not exist. He was neglected, rejected and despised even though his soul was as simple as an atom. All his days were spent wondering about what makes a wave ‘tick’. His research was all that was left for and of him.

He did not consider sound as the other pea-minded loot hoarders did. He thought it had a purpose, and that even a single joule of energy could unveil its true identity. A single strand of hair is bound by the string of fate, yet he twisted and stretched the string to meet his ends. Lavario was his name, which strikes as a bartender’s name at first impression. But its not always as it meets the eye is it?

Lavario was determined to apply his abnormal intuition to create a masterpiece which would change his life, and many other’s. He wanted to prove to the world that everything had a purpose beyond purpose. He was met by mockery and persecution, but he did not sink under the weight of society, since he had the virtues of courage and determination.

Another simple day was scampering by, as Lavario continued to fiddle with his trinkets at his lab. A sudden knock on the door triggered an involuntary groan on his face.

“Mr Lavario?”

“Yes?”

“We are The Department of Psychological Science, and we want you to accompany us.” The words struck as thunder on Lavario’s face.

“Baladrio called you didn’t he? How many times must I tell you, I am not mad! The research I’m doing here is beyond all of your comprehension!

A big stout man walked up to the door, staring at Lavario with his cactus-like eyes, as if they could sting him without contact.

“It wasn’t an offer, imbecile. Grab him!”

The men pushed and knocked down Lavario like a wrecking ball. A spray of unknown origin was put in his mouth, and he was out.

 Part Duo

Escape of Answers

Awakened. His soul, his mind and his body. He was ready to face, what had not been faced. The eerie creaking and ‘moaning’ of the door filled his mind with adrenaline and fear, a surprisingly odd combination that drives men mad. He was lying on the bare ground, and so was his spirit. The door opened, and a man dressed in black confronted the dazed and confused scientist.

“Mr Lavario?”

“Cut the Mister shenanigans you filthy beast! Where am I? What sort of Psychological Department makes perfectly good people mad?”

The man grabbed hold of Lavario’s arm and dragged him on the ragged floor like a prisoner being dragged to his fate. Lavario’s body resisted to no avail, but was his mind on the same page? He was ‘led’ to a conference room, where black people wearing suits were seated in their chairs.

“Mr Lavario, I am aware that you are dazed and confused, and I will try to explain the situation as best as possible.”

“I’ll explain the situation to you, imbecile. I am dirty and angry, and you have dragged me to this ‘Department’ by force!”

“The Constatian. Does that ring a bell? It’s the name of your invention. Converts mechanical waves into concentrated sound tachyons.”

“What about it?”

“We need it.

“So you wish to buy my legacy? I do not bow to something as vague as money.”

“But you don’t understand. Th-“

The man’s statement was cut off by a tremendous shaking of the vicinity. The wall collapsed into a granulated pile of rubble. All around was death and chaos, as if these things were born there.

“No, this is not how I will go,” he thought. Leaving his safe haven, he struggled to avoid his inevitable fatality, He managed to squeeze through the walls of fate, which tried miserably to do what needed to be done. There were shadows everywhere, calling his name.

Lavario.

Lavario.

The first glimpse of daylight filled his hammering heart with the blood of joy.

Not afraid to die.

Not afraid.

Not anymore.

 Part Tres

The Constatian

Those steps. Ah, what glory they had when taken. A man, fighting for his life, his work and his spirit. He dared not avoid the inevitable, the daunting and the hysterical. No, he did not run. He faced his fears with utter determination and skill. No idea he had, of what might await him at his abode.

The feelings of courage and success wilted away when he saw what remained of his life's work. All of it, a pile of rubble. It all came down the way it started, with the raw materials. Alas! this time it could not be put back. Anger screeched at him, cowed at him.

What good are you, if you can't protect what you love? he thought. But what is this? His invention was nowhere to be seen.

Embracing his defeat, his failing body bent down to the winds of depression. A sudden click in the vicinity alarmed him. He turned around to see Galadrio, pointing a gun at his shaking body.

Gal…Galadrio….what on earth are you doing?

What I should have done years ago.

A humongous bang of lightning, and his body lay on the ground motionless. Dead.

Clean up this mess gentlemen, I have better things to do. Galadrio ordered. The men picked up his body, and disposed of it in the river. It was all so easy for them, the killing of the future, the suppression of ingenuity.

Galadrio treaded back to the Constatian, for more tinkering and fiddling.

An angelic flash erupted from the machine, leaving all those who challenged its master, begging for another minute of life.
