@faroseh: Could you introduce yourself?

 

@sirogo:  I’m @sirogo, a player of Tanki Online. I joined this game back in 2010 so 6 years ago. During these years I’ve mainly been into eSports and forum stuff such as writing articles.

@faroseh: How did you get to find Tanki Online? Who do you think were your best friends in this game?

 

@sirogo: I started playing Tanki Online after I saw an ad on the internet back when Tanki needed players.
As for the best friends, I don’t have any ranking of my friends, but I’ve had a lot of good friends here: Marcho123, DR.TWINS, High, Arabiannoble, LiVe-YoUr-DrEaM, Acid, T-Y-P-H-O-N, DarkOperative and many others.

@faroseh: Could you tell us a little bit about your experience in Tanki Online?

 

@sirogo: Back in 2010-2011 I used to just play random battles when I was bored. Then I joined my first M2 clan - Elite Killer Squad of which I became leader a year later. I left it and joined Facepalm a few months later. I had my best time in that clan there with Arabiannoble as leader. Then Facepalm closed and Regrets opened with the same leaders and similar members so I got invited to it.

After the leader quit TO I took back the leadership and led Regrets with other players until 2 weeks ago, when I closed it.

Besides my eSports experience, I also used to be a very active forum member: I wrote a couple of articles under which the Theory of TWO, I re-made the Tanki Online Debating Society a year ago and recently started coordinating the Tanki Online Star League project with others.

@faroseh: Oh! What an amazing history! Could you tell us why you closed Regrets and did you win any special paints with Regrets? What was the best achievement you guys have achieved?

 

@sirogo: Regrets started as a strong drug clan, then we started playing every format and tried to master them. After a year we kept our capacities in drug and hard format and improved light and XP/BP format. I think it’s a good performance overall although our efforts not having been rewarded with anything else than crystals. Sadly, we failed at improving these last months and I eventually had to close the clan because of inside problems.

@faroseh: What are some of your major appearances in Tanki Online? For example, high tournament places.

 

@sirogo: Well, with Facepalm we didn’t take part in many tournaments as the drug format was not taken into account and still isn’t, but with Regrets we did take part in them: We’ve won some private and unofficial tournaments as well as blitzes. Moreover, we were able to reach the quarter finals in both MoS League One and Dominations Series.

@faroseh: Are you still going to stay in the eSports after Regrets closed? Are you still moderating Tanki Online Star League?

 

@sirogo: I think I will take part in eSports in another way, as I won’t contribute to it as player anymore. This topic is very new and I myself don’t know what is going to happen; I would love to help eSports unofficially or officially. TODS has been officially put in stand-by for the last month but we’ve been working on it and fresh updates are ready. Before making any move we are giving it some time seeing how extremely unstable the eSports’ situation currently is. Discussions are happening right now with the eSports administration to figure out which path will be followed next and plans will start being put together in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, I’m afraid I can’t tell you more about this as it has not been revealed to the public yet.

@faroseh: Oh, alright! Would you tell us about some of your favorite activities outside Tanki Online?

 

@sirogo: I’ve always loved sport: I do tennis, climbing, GSA and parkour / freerunning. Sadly these last months I have not been able to practice much because of my intensive scholarship. Besides sport, I also like coding and gaming which is what I do when I have nothing else interesting to do at home.

@faroseh: Mhm, seems a little identical to my hobbies! Do you speak Russian? Or other languages that are used in Tanki Online?

 

@sirogo: Well, I speak Dutch, French and English. Unfortunately I don’t speak Russian but it really is a language I love and which I might study in university!

@faroseh: Oh, nice! I agree with you, Russian might actually help you a lot in your life! Where do you currently live and where are you from? What are you looking to study later on other than Russian?

 

@sirogo: I was born in Belgium and currently live there, near Brussels, in some Dutch village but where everyone speaks French… Weird. I’m am applying for some Microtechnical course in a University in Switzerland, it’s all about engineering, robotic and computers. I think that’s what I love so it kind of gives you an idea of what I want to study.
