Greeting Tankers! No matter how much experience you might have in this game, you will probably still need some basic information about it. There are some characteristics of Tanks that are so complex to execute; it is just frustrating to do them step by step. So much hidden features out there can make our everyday lives easier, let's clarify some of them in this article.

You may already know some of those lifehacks, but I am sure that you will discover new ones throughout this article.

1. Chat with your friends

I tend to talk a lot with my friends in the lobby, but sometimes so many people are talking at the same time and I always try to answer each of them. I don't know if you are still doing this, but I used to click on the person's nickname and click it if I wanted to publicly or privately chat with him. It was such a waste of time switching between users, and when there was some massive spam in the chat, your friend's name gets swallowed by the flood. The easiest way to switch between users fast and efficiently is to hold ctrl+click on the username in order to chat publicly with him or hold ctrl+shift+click on the nickname to start a private conversation.

2. Enter and leave a battle

This might help you join and leave battles quicker, if you are fighting for the last spot in a parkour battle or if you want to exit a drug war quickly.
When clicking on any parkour maps, there will be a confirmation message warning you that you will not be able to gain any crystals. If you want to get rid of that notification, just click enter and the battle will start to load.
To leave any battles immediately without clicking on the little red x on the upward right corner of the page, you can try a shortcut by pressing esc+enter.

3. Changing equipment

We change equipment all the time in battles, either you have the wrong equipment, or the enemy team is too well protected against your weapon. However, switching between your stuff takes an enormous amount of time, and those precious seconds might be enough for you to get in the lead. So when you open your garage, you have your owned item list. Instead of selecting something+equip, just double click on any of your equipment, and it will equip it automatically. If you want to Micro-Upgrade, just double click again as it will bring the MU page. After all of those changes do you want to return to your battle in the same way? Easy, double click on the small portion of the screen where the battle is still ongoing and boom, you just changed everything under 5 seconds (of course with optimal internet conditions).

4. Join Events

Links for Official Events are always posted on the official Tanki Online Facebook page, but if you have a slow computer, the web page might be loading slowly. For me, the page was lagging so badly that getting the link before others were practically impossible. Nevertheless, there is an easy lifehack to let the page run smoothly, you should replace the "www" from the link to "m", this will launch the mobile version of Facebook, and a slow computer will handle it better. If you want to refresh the page for the event link, press F5.

5. Invisible text

For whatever reason, you want to post some invisible text on the forum, perhaps to have fun with your friends or to write a secret message, there is a way to do it. Although I call it invisible, it is not really a transparent text; this is just a text appearance that matches the background color of the Forum for the computer version. If you are using the mobile version or if you quote, the message will no longer be invisible. Here's how to do it: ]color='#111111'[ (text here) ]/color[ (To make it work, you should inverse those brackets [.])

6. The Moderating Team

Have you ever wonder what might be the list of all the moderators out there? Those who are devoted day and night to help and improve this community. You might already have searched us through the Lists of Helpers section, but that is not all. The whole moderation team is way bigger, and a lot of those people may be inactive. You will be amazed by the amount of unknown accounts, especially those of admins and real employees out there. If you are interested, the full list of helpers for the EN section is here.

7. Private Messages Addressed At Your Name

This Lifehack might come handy if you are a leader of a clan/club or if you have a Forum page where you know people will often send you private messages. Basically, when someone clicks on the link that you will provide, it will redirect them to the page for composing a new message. Instead of having nothing written on a new PM page, there will be your name written in the "Recipient's Name" box. To get this link for your account, you will have to ask a friend or use a smaller account. Firstly, your friend needs to access your profile page, then click on 6C9GuQE.png and then on vH8EeE8.png. After that, copy the link provided on your browser bar, and voila, you have your own, customized private message. As an example, you can find mine here. I know this is just a small detail, but it is still pretty cool huh?

8. How To Upload Image Without Saving It To Your Computer

I love to post my pictures in the forum, share my battles with my friends, or share my parkour achievements. Unfortunately, each time I took a screenshot of something, I had to save it on my laptop. Over time those files are piling up again and again which kills your internal storage space. Luckily, I found a way to upload images without having to save them on your computer. After pressing PrtSc which takes a screenshot of your whole screen and saves it to your clipboard, open with your web browser using either http://imgur.com/ or https://prnt.sc/ two great image hosting websites. Wait for the page to load completely, then press ctrl+v. This command will paste your picture, and it will upload it directly to that site without bothering your storage space.

9. How To Have Your Magnum Clip Ready To Shoot At 100%

If you like to have your Magnum shot loaded at 100% but you hate holding your keyboard, this tip is for you. It is more useful in parkour battles than in regular matches, but if you find a good way to use it, why not
¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Next time when you will charge a Magnum by pressing the Spacebar, hit enter to open the chat and release the space bar. The Magnum shot will be locked at 100% until the next press on the space bar, which will release it at maximum power.

I hope that you have discovered some new time-saving tips throughout this article. Please leave your opinions and tell your best life hacks in the comment section down below. Good luck for applying those small tricks on the battlefield!

I knew all of these except the Magnum and mobile site trick. Why did you tell all these forumers how to use invisible text? That was my trick. :(

I'm a nub, knew none of this :c still awesome job mate! ;p

EDIT - Just noticed you can notice the presence of the socalled invisible text WITHOUT quoting or whatever - if you look hard nuff. You can't read tho, well at least it's very difficult. :P Add that at #11 of Top Ten Tanki - Unknown Things II :p

For screenshots, download the Lightshot app (prnt.sc). It will automatically save screenshot to your computer when you press screenshot key. You can take several photos at a time by pressing the key again & again. You can also customize the screenshot key.
Additionally there is an option to upload the image directly. For example when I press Ctrl + PrntScr, it takes the screenshot, uploads it and copies its link to clipboard.

Back before the shaft had a laser, if you were scoped you could double tap enter to get out of being scoped without firing (which would let your enemies know you were reloading, and would charge at you).

Of course the laser made this detail irrelevant as it just disappears now...
