It's not the best, but it doesn't really matter to be honest. Too late to make any suggestions anyway and I'm sure we can bear it for a few days

You mean Vertigo? :D

I already forwarded it to devs. Can't do much more than that. To be honest, I think that even the 3 containers per week is already extremely generous, especially for low ranks. I mean, it's a minimum of 375 supplies or 10500 crystals and to get it all you have to do is complete one mission every day.

We had a few suggestions already. One of my favourites is the possibility of getting containers at the end of the battle. Maybe not the current containers (since that would be too good), but perhaps some kind of lower tier container with some supplies, crystals and occasional gold boxes/garage paints. And a few of those containers would be randomly given to players at the end of the battle, regardless of their score or whether they won or lost, so everyone would have an equal chance to get the bonus and that would encourage them to stay till the end.

"Concentration mode" activated Press shift to return to the normal mode.

AFAIK there will soon be an indicator that shows where the flag is located at all times (unless you get close).

Instead of dedicated servers the game needs a better communication feature that would allow players to communicate between each other. Something like an optional hotkey chat that sends pre-made messages that are automatically shown in each player's preferred language. And as for translating the game and creating different language server chats - that should be done in as many languages as possible.

Topic merged That's a bad way of approaching the issue. Instead of forcing players to stay when they don't want to, something needs to be done to make players want to stay until the end of the battle. Much better to add some kind of incentive, rather than impose more restrictions.

Topic merged That does seem to be a new thing. Thanks, I'll forward to developers.

I vote @RIDDLER_8 for faction leader. TRAITOR

Yeah I played it with data for about a month and was really surprised how little it uses. As said above, if you have most things saved in your cache, the gameplay itself uses very little.
-
Idk. Maybe it would help.

Saw an internet ad and clicked.

Actually it looks a lot more promising than that. I'm sure devs will be able to do it in a third of that time!

Not just efficiency. There will be multiple factors that determine who gets matched.

Valid I agree that there should be better awareness of the rules, but I doubt players would read them in that format.

They talked about it a few times during streams. The goal is to keep the game somewhat the same as it is now, keeping the original concept and gameplay style, but adapting it to better compete against newer, more advanced games and catering to the current population of gamers. That involves adding features such as Matchmaking and changing the game's economy to be more friendly towards new players. The game has been losing popularity and players since 2014, so devs want to change it in a way that old active players stay, but new ones also come and get into the game.

Why does it say 39 in the video's title?
-
That's the reason MM is being added. Alts will be matched against other alts and newbies against newbies. That way it should be more fair to new players.
-
Yeah. Until developers release an official statement that this will or will not be implemented, it's under review.

Meh, not much to discuss here. VotW is decided by devs to eliminate any chance of rigged voting (e.g. youtubers asking their viewers to vote for them). The length of the video is as long as necessary to show the objective of the video. The main complaint I see about it from players is something along the lines of "This week's video sucks! Do something better!", which really annoys me since players don't understand that the videos are submitted by other players, therefore if the video is bad then no one submitted anything better, and it's not the developers' fault.

Well, for a start I think you misunderstand how updates work. Tanki doesn't need to physically shut down in order to do a lot of updates at once. Sure, if devs do decide to add a lot of things at once then the game will have some longer maintenance (usually 4-6 hours), but it doesn't need to shut down for multiple days. With the way developers release updates now, it's actually quite nice to have new exciting things being added fairly often while at the same time not changing too much at a time and giving us time to adjust to the changes. If they were to instead not release anything for a year and then make some kind of massive update, not only would it get negative feedback due to players disliking such massive changes, but they would lose a LOT of players throughout that year of development, because players simply get bored and leave. The game survives on updates. If changes weren't being made, people would get bored of playing the same thing over and over and they would leave. And the worst thing is that in this case it's hard for devs to even understand why people are leaving. If a bad update is released then there is clear evidence of people disliking it based on their feedback in chat and on the forum. The cause of problem is clear and so is the solution. But if players get bored, they don't announce "hey, I'm bored and I will leave the game soon". They just leave. And that makes it hard for devs because players are leaving and there is no obvious cause for it. I don't know if you were here in 2015, but in that year barely any updates were released. And that's also the year when they game had its biggest loss in the player base - people got bored and left. So to conclude, it's much better to release updates in small batches often, than in a big batch all at once.
