  1. Valid Obviously won't be a free feature. If implemented, I'm guessing at least one of the players would have to pay 20-50% of the skin's price in order to trade it for another.
  2. As @DieselPlatinum said above, drones lack visual indication. For someone who only just came back to the game or doesn't play much, things like being suddenly one-shot by a turret that normally takes off 25% of your health, dealing 3000+ damage to a light hull and seeing them survive, seeing someone spawn with all three supplies, definitely looks like cheats. So it's hardly surprising that people accuse drone users of cheating.

  6. I reckon that's gonna be pretty easy considering we're not participating ? Also there's no winners - everyone gets the basic reward and a few lucky ones get the big bonus.
  7. My pic with @Hate Big thanks to professional photographers @Cyborg and @Defender ?

Why to never ever play this game

The rule for sabotage was always present, and enforcement of it used to be a lot more severe. Read the replies again — you will NOT be punished for using weak equipment if your intention isn't to explicitly sabotage your team. That's besides the fact that the chance of you being reported by teammates AND a battle mod coming to check the report is extremely low.

Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

Nope Australia is on the "bottom" of the globe, so Australians always live "upside down" because that's the right way up for them. So when they come to Europe they are still upside-down because that's what they're used to.

Here we see a group of tourists from Australia visiting Europe: @Regency
  12. Valid Great idea - makes perfect sense. Kinda like playing Microsoft Minesweeper, love it! ? I never really considered it a serious problem, but now that I think about it — so many times I found an enemy mine and went around it, but a teammate following me would go right on it. Typing in chat takes too long and is rarely effective, so this is a perfect solution.

Why to never ever play this game

Out of context - yes. But that's exactly the reason why battle mods go through such extensive training and background checks, and the reason why game violation reports have so many strict requirements. Because if a battle mod saw me in that battle, they would check the score, check tab, and see that I am in no way a liability to my team. While technically it does break the rules, but once again - battle mods are trained to correctly evaluate whether a player is unskilled, just messing around without harm, or actively trying to sabotage the team. As far as I know, actual false punishments are virtually non-existent. Anyway, I'm not really qualified to talk about this subject, so I'll get someone from the battle mod team to clear things up here.
  14. You'll probably still be fine because a LOT of conditions need to be met for any kind of punishment, but I would still recommend you change to a better combo if you see that you're letting your team down by using Mk3.
  15. Ideally you shouldn't. But if the Mk6 is very high for your rank and most people you play with have lower modifications, then Mk1-Mk2 is fine. In the end it all depends on whether using a low modification impacts your ability to contribute to the battle, so if you use Mk1 but still stay near the top of the score table, then you're fine.

Why to never ever play this game

Obviously not, especially if you were playing properly. If it were a simple case of not being allowed to use equipment X grades lower than your best owned item, then the punishment system could just be automatic. Or better yet, the system wouldn't let you equip or join with lower grade equipment in the first place. Battle mods assess the whole situation before deciding that a punishment is justified, so there will never be an instant ban simply based on the equipment you are using. I myself sometimes changed to Mammoth Isida M0 for fun in normal MM battles (back when I still had that combo), but only did so when I was in first place and our team was winning by a large margin, meaning that my actions couldn't cause my team to lose. I'm sure of a battle mod were to see me, they would know that a ban isn't necessary.

MM balancing really is not working...

As far as I know, this only happens in less popular modes during less busy times of day. There's still plenty of players to have more-or-less effective MM most of the time.
  18. Regardless of how advanced the systems get, they would greatly benefit from being inter-connected. The only issue with that is the possibility of lives being at risk due to hacking, but I'm sure certain security measures can be put in place to prevent that.

MM balancing really is not working...

GS difference can get big if there aren't many players online at the moment, so MM has to increase the range of players in order to fill battles quickly enough. The important thing to look for is your team's total GS compared to the enemy team. In most cases it should be quite similar. Also keep in mind that MM doesn't only use GS when putting players into teams.
  20. That purely depends on the achieved level of autonomy. At autonomy level 5 the vehicle is guaranteed to be able to safely perform all driving tasks autonomously with zero human interaction required. At that point humans won't have any responsibility over the vehicle since they will not be able to take control of it at all. At the moment we are still decades away from such technology. If the user manual permits the driver to not monitor the road while the car is autonomous, then accidents will be the car maker's fault, since it's their software and code that made the wrong decision (assuming the autonomous car was at fault). Just like how if you buy an industrial robot today and use it strictly as instructed, any accidents caused by the machine will likely be the manufacturer's fault.
  21. Residential areas are quite tricky indeed. I don't know how cars would deal with things like children suddenly running out into the road from behind cars. Right now the systems struggle to even detect normal people. As for where it will happen - definitely major technological cities will come first, but assuming the world keeps developing and cities become more technologically advanced, then such infrastructure can gradually spread all over the world. At that point the question is whether or not issues like global warming and overpopulation will curb technological advancement, but that's a whole different discussion.

  23. Oh I'm sure they do, and I'm sure there will be large protests by enthusiast drivers to prevent their right to drive being taken away from them. The answer to this is leaving dedicated areas specifically for manual driving. Just like how we have racetracks where you can take your car if you want to drive it fast, in the future there may be tracks where you take your care if you want to drive at all. But I don't think the safety and convenience of many should be compromised to satisfy the desires of few.
