You can only complete missions in battles through the matchmaking system. From the battle list, you need to click on the green button at the top that says 'Battle!', then a window pops up where you can press 'Play' in your desired game mode. Those are the only battles you can complete missions in. If you want more details or instructions, here's a topic about it: Unofficial Guide to the Matchmaking system Capturing points and flags gives you more score and consequently a higher portion of the battle fund. So while it doesn't make a world of difference if you lose or not, it does make a difference if you cap a lot or not. It's definitely profitable to capture points/flags.

Topic merged. Thank you for reporting this. The player was able to join your battle because s/he was part of a battle group with high ranked players. Currently, there's no rank limit on battle groups yet, which causes some team balance issues.

The first one might very well be a bug (I hope it is), the second one can definitely be a bit confusing indeed. It will take some time discovering how the scoring system works exactly.
-
I'm sad you weren't there, would have loved having you there.
-
In the announcement it was said that they might make some adjustments to how the fund is calculated.Apart from that, @Issimo brought up a good point. Battle score is not the same as experience points. It's very well possible that your experience gained in both battles is similar to eachother.

Imagine how it would be without any testing.. :x

I'm all for punishing them harshly, but you should know that that 1 day is for first time offenders. If they do it more often, the harsher the punishment will be. Since I'm not a battle moderator, I unfortunately cannot tell you how quickly the duration and severity of the punishments increase. They wanted to run some more checks on it, before they release it. It should still arrive soon.

One inactive player shouldn't be a surprise considering players sometimes have to wait for a few minutes before they get taken to a battle. Chances are they start doing something else in the meantime and forget or don't notice they're taken to a battle. Although they should be automatically removed after 2 minutes. Three inactive player in one team does sound intentional indeed. Perhaps they were part of a battle group, but I'm unsure as to why they'd sabotage a team when they can't know in advance that there's a friend in the other team. We'll definitely keep an eye on the feedback regarding this problem in the next couple of days to see if it continues to happen regularly, even after most of the reported bugs have been fixed. Thank you for bringing this to the attention.

Funds were intentionally removed in private battles to prevent players from using those battles to powerlevel. Fund in (public) PRO battles works like normal. Only in private battles, funds are removed. Correct. Check out this topic: Unofficial Guide to the Matchmaking system It contains detailed instructions.

Could you elaborate in what exactly the issue is with the friends list? The more details the merrier so the programmers can look into the issue. The plan is definitely for the matchmaking system to stay. That being said, they will make adjustments where needed. And currently they're working on fixing the bugs reported by players. Which is also the reason why we're having some server updates today. Multing is where a player places his/her alternate account (also called multiple account, short = mult) in the enemy team to weaken that team and have a higher chance of winning. It's a form of sabotage that is not possible anymore in matchmaking battles, since players are sent to battles at random. Apart from that, inviting friends into the enemy team to sabotage in battles is not possible anymore either. Low ranks in battles with many high ranked players is indeed an issue, but these lower ranks didn't join those battles as mults.

Yep, usually in my head though. Out loud when I've done something really really stupid or when I'm in traffic and get annoyed by other drivers. Technically I'm talking to them, but I'm the only one that can hear it, does that count?
-
It's highly likely that that is caused by some issues that came with the latest update. You'll be able to read more about it here.

Matchmaking started on the 29th at 2:00 UTC. Depending on your timezone, that might still have been on Monday for you.
-
For now, discussions on matchmaking should be done in the official topic. Once the official topic has been archived, we may consider re-opening this topic. Closed.

Thanks for reporting this issue, it should be looked into.

Possibly because there were more players in that battle group that had one of the highest ranks in that battle. Indeed. While the group makes the choice to add low ranks to it, the other players that happen to be placed in the same team definitely did not sign up to play with recruits against legends.

A release date is not set yet, and currently it's only available for Android. It will become available for IOS at a later stage.

When collecting the feedback, we don't look at who says something, but what is said. Comments that contain no feedback on the update (or on TO) are not taken into account. You bring up some valid concerns, but 'no battle fund in PRO battles' isn't one of them. Fund still increases in PRO battles like it has always happened. Only in private battles, there's no battle fund. No they're not, proven by the 50+ pages containing criticism of the update. Moderators are instructed to answer questions, give explanations on game features and remove insults/profanity and other things that break the game rules. Just a few chocolate chip cookies..

The servers were restarted again, does it work now?
-
Yes, this is the right place to rant, or to give feedback on the update for that matter.
-
Does this happen when you're trying to load the battle list?
-
They merged all the lobbies with battlelist into one, to make it easier for players to find battles, without them having to switch servers all the time. On top of that, this update solved the problem of crowded servers. Especially server 1 was at times so crowded that it caused massive lags or even shut down completely. With a unified battle list, players weren't able to manually pick a server anymore and player load was more or less evenly distributed over the available servers. What game mode were you playing and how high was your battle score? Good question, you should definitely receive score for capturing points, since that is the main objective in the mode. I'll forward the issue, thanks!
-
Similarly to how you join battles in specific modes on your own. When you're in a battle group, you can still click on the 'Play!' buttons for the given game modes:
-
If that was in a private battle, then it makes sense. With this update, there won't be a battle fund anymore in private battles and score will only increase just enough to make rank up parties possible.
