Le word "le" is being misused so much here >.< Look, le word "le" equals le word "the". I don't learn le language French but at least I know how to use le word.

It's all about receiving a rounded education, and giving everyone a taste of various subjects i.e. the opportunity to widen one's knowledge. Well fine, you can forget all the stuff you learnt in school and live a decent life; then you can leave it to the intellectuals to continue to advance fields such as science and technology which the ordinary person benefits from all the time, and let them receive higher rewards in return. Learning all that stuff in school shows how good you are at picking up knowledge and applying it; those who can show they're adept at a variety of things, and can put in the work, would end up being more successful later on. Grit your teeth and work harder for 5 years or so now to prove you can be successful, or work harder during your entire working life if you don't want to take the opportunities school presents to you, and so you'd have no proof of your abilities to show to employers upon entering work. It's your choice... "You don't need to have any of the intelligence of thought offered by education, just drive my car round and cook food for me, and it's k." Dat pickup line.

Downvoted that by accident, but yeah, I agree ^_^

Tell your funny story that happened to you in real life.

Haha, nice story - clearly that's very lucky black magic  So I was in a History lesson at school last year, and my desk was right in front of the teacher's. We were meant to be writing some boring essay, so naturally, I decided that staring into space was a much more attractive opiton... half-way into the lesson, she looked over at my work and said: "You've only written one line!" Now, this was outrageous! Preposterous! Here I was, working my hardest to procrastinate, and she said I'd done less than I actually had! So, indignantly, I responded: "And one word..." Well, at least I then got to spend the other half of the lesson standing outside of the classroom door ^_^ -
Google Translate from Gibberish to English says: "I'm jelly because I wouldn't receive 4 pages of replies if I made a similar topic, since I'm not as respected a community member".

Happy birthday Val ^_^

When you congratulate someone on ranking up to 15. I seriously did respond with "Congrats!" some time ago when someone told me it was his birthday... >.<

G'luck, Heather :P

1. There's no point in using an excessively large font size. 2. Photo of the Day - Have any?. 3.Video of the Day - Have any?. I can see the points you're trying to make here, but using a font size above 24 and creating a topic specifically centred on an image or video is not considered useful. In fact, I'd have been more likely to have read this topic itself had it used a smaller font size for the main body of text, if it used decent English grammar, and if it was something which could lead to interesting discussion.

Fair point :P

Congrats everyone, especially - told you that you had a chance :P And I'm really chuffed with 3rd place, there were some great entries... :o +1, I really enjoyed listening to his entry.

Is using your computer a lot & playing tanki making you feel ill?
GoldRock replied to RampagingVenom in Archive
If I'm on a PC or other device in the evenings and it means I sleep less than about 7 hours, I invariably wake up with both a migraine and blurred vision. Even though I've done that many times, the symptoms don't alleviate - it seems I just can't put up with a lack of sleep very well. TBH, I do like sleeping and have become very skilled at not being woken up by my alarm in the mornings. If only I could do a flae xD -
No correct guesses so far. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll start doing that from now on ;)

I'm sure yours wouldn't have been that bad... right? Thanks, and congrats to you too :P And I know the feeling in terms of teachers who are destructive rather than constructive... It's all about just taking the negatives about having such a teacher and turning them into positives.
-
^Unfortunately, in the real world, not everyone can win. You can take the positives from having entered this contest in the first place (e.g. you'd have improved your poetry-writing skills), and you can even take positives from from your loss. Coming back from defeat to try and try again until you win is a true test of skill and potential. I didn't win the first newspaper poetry contest I entered, for example. I wasn't even expecting to win this one, I just enjoyed taking part. Yes, I know that... He's probably just referring to the fact that I won the last poetry contest the newspaper held, too, so I decided a little celebration would be in order ^_^

*Why did... You do realise you learnt that in History, right? And I wouldn't make it excluive to white people. There are examples of such events throughout History, just that Europeans were able to colonise areas on a bigger scale due to their technology at the time as compared to that of other civilisations. And it's utterly wrong to bring skin colour into it, since skin colour doesn't make someone any worse or better. It was a European attitude rather than a white one.

Shhhh, I'm not obliged to use correct grammar. You're the Reporter ok :P

*insert praising message about Lham and his minion here* ~ Edited by le hamster on 3rd March. Seems legit ;) But anyway... *fires senses* And 3vil is really just the same as plain ol' evil. Therefore, an an is more justified than an a (OK, too many ans and as now... xD).
