I believe in the paranormal, because of personal past experiences. I have no photos, though, so you will just have to take my word for it. We have a mantle clock that was my Grandparents 1st wedding anniversary present. My Grandparents got married in 1920. In 1976, I got that old clock out of their basement and they gave it to me, saying it hasn't worked in many years. I brought it home and my Dad wound it up. Much to our surprise, it worked and kept good time. It had a Westminster chime at the top of the hour and played part of the chime every 15 minutes. About two years later, it stopped working, even though my Dad wound it every day. My Dad took it to an antique clock repairer. He said that there was no way that clock could work. The gears were hand carved out of wood and the gears were too worn. Some didn't even meet. We kept the clock and moved it from the fireplace mantle in the living room to the top of the china cabinet in the dining room, next to my bedroom. My Dad passed away in 1990, never to have heard that clock again. About a year after his passing, the clock chimed, even though it wasn't on the quarter hour. After it chimed, it would "tick" for about 10 minutes, then stop. This happened twice a week for about 6 months, then once a week for about 6 months, then nothing. It hasn't ticked nor chimed since. It still sits on the china cabinet. I have had other paranormal activity experiences of my own, my Mom and my Brother. I have had some unexplained activity with the hot water faucet in the bathroom, just this year. My Mom and Brother have seen apparitions..

[Forum Game] Word Connection
Torva-Messor replied to Torva-Messor in [Forum Game] Word Connection Archive
With Word Connection, you use two words. Your first word is the Player"s above you second word. Example: I use the words "cardboard box." The next player might say "box top." Third one might say "top dog." Get the idea? Rules 1. No sentences or implied sentences. 2. Add only one word to the above player's last word. 3. Try not to pluralize your last word (Example: cardboard boxes) 4. Keep it clean. No vulgarity or implied vulgarity. 5. Your two words must make sense. (Example: box now or box again would not be allowed). 6. Do not use Proper names. (Example: box Torva). I'll start: Black Book -
Fortunately, though confused, she still knows the difference between a Psychiatrist and a Necromancer so it didn't matter anyway and continued to psychoanalyze suicidal kittens, who, by the way, are not people.

The sheep was part sheep and part turtle, had ninja attributes, belong to both Order of Artiodactyla and Order of Testudines and discovered she had Anthropomorphism.

Getting back on topic: Some of the things I've seen noobs say in battle chat: 1)..give me flag plz i need for mission 2)...u noob (actually one noob calling another noob noob) 3)...NO KILL NO KILL (said when the gold box alarm sounds) 4)...i sed no kill (said when noob is killed trying to get gold box...hopefully by me). 5)...noob red team needs asida to heal (I read this one recently in battle chat from the opposing blue team. BTW we were winning, but not by a landslide. Our asida didn't attack, only healed. IMO he was doing his job). 6) noob shaft. (Said when player was constantly getting killed by opposing shaft, instead of learning how to kill shaft. I might add that the shaft player was pretty good). 7)...This was a failed defense attempt. Still pretty early in CTF battle on Noise map...we were blue. Score 2-0 we were losing. In team chat, noob says "defend defend." So all the noobs on our team (which were most of them) gathered in a huddle around the flag (I had more sense). Firebird and Freeze came in killed all of them while Rico got the rest of us from above. Mammoth waltzes in grabs the flag and waltzes out like he was out for a Sunday drive in the country. Well, I know there are others, plus the ones already mentioned. When one team is full of mostly noobs, the battle chat gets rather interesting.

i know 2+2=22 4+4=44 4+3=43 1+0+9=109 Pie are not square, pie are round Sir, come France directly. Do not circle. Come forth and multiply. Make more additions, but do not subtract nor divide. So much for my knowledge of Ma, the mat ics. I know it doesn't make much sense, but neither does all that other gobbledygook..

Basophobia, but not Acrophobia. I've had nightmares about falling, falling, falling into the great depths of darkness. People have told me that when I'm having one of these nightmares, I mumble things like, "Oh my God. No!" "Help me." "No, no, no." Meanwhile, I'm thrashing and breaking out in a sweat. Doctor's have told me it's because I've lost control of something in my life and I need to find out what it is and get a handle on it. Then and only then will I be rid of the nightmares. I'm at a complete loss, here. But the nightmares have reduced very drastically. So, whatever it is, maybe I am getting a handle on things again and don' know it.
