Some reasonable limits could work, but that's not going to happen. My advice OP, is to select your battles very carefully, and profit off the drugging. I just finished yet another massive drug war, and thanks to my teammates drugging their behinds off, I did pretty well. I feel bad for them, they used an incredible amount of supplies (they most certainly lost crystals even with their reward), but they have my thanks:

These boxes would undercut sales of the 'Score Multiplier Pass", and Tanki's devs are all about the $$$, so its never going to happen.

I don't buy either, and never will because of the supply situation. We'll have to agree to disagree as far as being able to compete. If you and your team don't have more supplies than the druggers you're battling, you're done IMO. I play on all the servers, and its the same drug war on all of them. What server do you play on? I'm saving for major upgrades, so perhaps I'm playing more than you ATM. I'm getting good results, earned 678 crystals yesterday, but I'd need 3-5 times as much for my daily bonus to keep up with the druggers. I give my team 5-10 minutes to see what they're going to do. If they aren't going to drug back then its not worth my time to stay. There's no sense in staying for 30 minutes, getting blown up every 30 seconds, for 25 crystals. You are right though, Tanki is full of surprises. Typical drug war yesterday, my team had just lost a few flags in a row to druggers. I commented that we were going to lose, and a Marshal with Mammoth/Shaft left. Now things really looked bad, until he came back with Mammoth/Rico/Inferno, and drugging like there was no tomorrow. He went on a rampage, we captured 12 more flags, it was something to behold. My 180 crystal reward cost me 20 double armor, 20 double power, and 15 mines, but I didn't buy the stuff so it doesn't matter. I'm running low on supplies now, so I have to select my battles more carefully until they build up again.

That's the spirit :) I'm working on getting the stuff I want too. You most certainly can't compete. If two tanks are identically equipped, with one 2-3-4ed and one undrugged, the undrugged tank loses every time. If you expand this example to an entire team battle, the undrugged team has no chance. I didn't say you can't succeed; I'm earning a lot of crystals, but there's a lot of stolen battles, leaving battles when the drug war starts, and time spent looking for a decent battle. In other words, a lot of wasted time.

Fair isn't in the dev's vocabulary, money is. The game may be free to play, but you can't compete if you don't pay.

Just finished another drug war, and I really believe they do it just to "win". The stupid druggers captured 9 flags in a row, I estimate they each spent 250-300 crystals on supplies, and the top scoring drugger won 105 crystals :wacko: I did better on the losing team, coming in second and receiving 16 crystals.

LMK which server these battles are on, because every battle today has been a drug war. Druggers happily 2-3-4ing away, and spending more crystals on supplies than they receive for "winning". I don't get it...

Either my rank's not high enough (Major), or I'm in different drug wars, because what I get as the daily gift won't last for a battle. I've seen druggers on the opposing team, down dozens of flags four minutes before the nightly server restart, happily drugging away with no chance to win. The highest reward on that team was 15 crystals... Another player told me about a drugger in a DM that he attacked, with two seconds left in the battle, and of course the drugger drugged up... Its just completely out of control, to the point the game should be renamed 2-3-4 Online. The game itself is brilliant. When you find that gem of a battle that's not full of druggers, its one of the best games I've played. Sadly, Tanki isn't a game where you can test your skills. The player that spends the most money on supplies wins, end of discussion. If the other team outdrugs my team, I lose. If my team outdrugs the other team, I still lose. My drugged teammates gain score at a much higher rate, and my reward is less. I see posters mention buying a NSBP every time this topic comes up. Have I earned enough crystals to purchase one? Yes, many times over, but that's not the point. Creating the supply problem, which puts players who can't afford a NSBP at a massive disadvantage, then having the gall to offer the NSBP as the solution (for a price) is just unbelievable. The fact that there are almost no NS battles on the servers is probably because a lot of players feel the same way I do about it. I won't pay, even if I can afford it, for the privilege of playing free from a problem created by the developers. Let people who want to drug, and I'm sure many do, play together. Let the rest of us play free from supplies, for free if at all possible. I like the idea mentioned earlier, of a few free no supply games on each server. Making no supply battles free for 2-4 weeks, as a test, would be another option. Its too bad neither will happen; the developers seem happy with the situation they've created.
