I don't think so, if it were to be micro-upgrades then they would've informed us.

You can add friends who are offline. Just search their name on "Send Requests" When they come online, they will see a notification. (Which is the friend request) It really works, I added my one of my other account from this account, logged onto the account and found the request. Hope this helped.

My method: If I'm not full health, I use health pack, use drugs, go to a gold box drop spot. I kill anyone that tries to come to my spot. Wait till it drops. It's so weird how my drugs ALWAYS runs out as soon as someone/I get(s) the gold box.

This should be an update. However I think the player's score should go down to 0 when re-entering (to make it fair). It is frustrating when you leave the battle to switch weapons and then someone takes your place. -_-
