it doesnt depend on the size of then rank but on what M it is, so how many HP it has, plus what kind of paint he got :D and if he can take you out with one shot, that means either your hornet is M0 where he has m1 rail, or M1 hornet where he has M2 rail :D

Im buying m2 medium tank kit, and m3 medium tank kit, got all m2 weapons except shaft and rico :D and lets see... good paint that i got? probably rustle or digital... although i tend to use rustle more as i play in small map where thunder or freeze like to show up, map like sandbox i use rail since im a hardcore rail user :D and i use wasp m2 for speed ;) hornet m2 for its stability and mammoth m2 for its armor :D

If i was you, i wouldnt get any good isida protection paint because you dont face an isida face to face too often, lately theres too many rail and thunder out there, get rustle or digital :D

no... im not a pro yet ;) i merely have taught you some tricks bout railgun. even someone like me is not perfect in using it, or yet... :D let's hope you will surpass both me and fatal one day :D and heres some tip about railgun, if you truly want love rail, you should perfect your timing, try to predict other peoples timing, imagine their yellow bar in your head, ALWAYS hit their corner, dont be a camper all the time, you will just lose respect of others, in a game D/L is not about everything, always move your turret and hull at the same time, and yes, i do agree that you need to hide sometimes like against smoky or thunder, maybe twins, but i completely disagree that you should camp all the time. and railgunners needs to be more tactical, each of their shoots deals a lot of damage, so only shoot the enemies that you think you will cause harm to your team, not the one that will ruin your D/L. Always observe your surrounding :P Once you miss one shot, and one of you flag was taken away just because you missed that shot, you would feel really sad, so in order to prevent from missing any shot, press E which will lower your camera view giving you a more accurate view to shoot your enemies down. of course once you get used to it, you will be able to do it anytime, it will feel natural, even without changing the camera view. Hope it helps :D
