Hmm... In last re-balances Freeze in time has lost freezing option. Freezing effect is max for 3 sec and some time ago you were frozen for 7-8 sec. In the next re-balance, I think Freeze will be the best turret. I recommend you save up your crystals to upgrade it.

Technically Ricochet is much stronger, by its stats, but I like Twins more, because it doesn't ask so much skills to control it. All you've to do is shoot at the enemy all the time, with no miss, and volia - you used it all.

But just don't forget, that it's short range weapon. Railguns, Shafts, Thunders, Smokies and other can easily hit you while you're coming for them.

You were on losing team. Tip: if you don't like ending battle by server update, just don't join the battle which is longer, than sUpdate starts. You will never get shocked like that...
