Yeah you can start with isida and continue with rail because it's cheaper and it unlocks earlier. Any turret you like and fits your playstyle is fine if you have the hulls kit. You won't need to upgrade any other hulls until you unlock M3s.

Hunter isn't faster than hornet but it still has a good speed. Some pictures or a design would be a great addition.

In my opinion you should start with rail. It's popular and there is also the light M3 kit. It has enough smoky protection for now, so you don't really need anymore protection. Ricochet isn't popular at these ranks as it is at high ranks (commander & generalissimos), so you don't need to MU for now. So if I were you, I would start with rail.

My hunter is also M0 but I use it pretty much at my alt account and I tested it at the test server. It's different than hornet and I am probably getting M3 hunter (from medium M3 kit when I reach the rank)
