1st and 3rd are excellent ideas. I will offer my support of these. As for the second idea, I agree that karma can be a powerful tool, however permanent bans may be a little much harsh after 2nd conviction. Maybe after 3rd or 4th. I have suggested before to start fining people or removing the equipment they were using while being a cheater. The mods already have the power to do it, if they want. So I guess we are in agreement that more severe punishment needs to be imposed.

I keep reading the same thing over and over and over, low ranks need crystals. The low ranks do not have a clue how many crystals an M3 item costs. Look it up. High rank need more crystals then anyone else. What you are about to read may be considered a little harsh, but someone needs to say it. If you want crystals use your allowance or wages and BUY SOME CRYSTALS and try supporting the game you love so much. So many never spend a nickle on this game and whine and moan about how "this sucks and that sucks". It is nice that Tanki offers this game for free, but this is also the curse of the game. There are too many beggars looking for free stuff and then having the nerve to complain when they don't get it. This is one of the only games where buyers get no special treatment. :( This is very odd. Maybe another option would be to have servers for players that are willing to pay to play, away from all the scavengers and leaches. If you think about it, the players that want nothing a but free crystals are the ones causing all the problems for those who just want to play a challenging team game without mults and crystal harvesters. If it means I have to pay for that privilege, then I do not have a problem with that.

BEST OPTION This will satisfy the largest majority. . leave the crystal drops in Death Match mode. People love crystal grabbers in those games. . remove the crystal drops in all other modes. Players that play team type battles hate crystal grabbers ruining the game. It will encourage players to focus on playing the game and contributing to their team, instead of selfishly ignoring their team. . pay the players directly, exactly the same way they currently earn XP points. This is a much fairer way to hand out crystals. What a player earns is totally up to the player and affects no one else. . adding only to the battle fund is encouraging more mults and saboteurs. When the battle fund gets large enough the temptation to use mults to insure a win is to great. (This is already happening, and started on day 1 of this experiment) This re-work of the economic system needs to be done very carefully. It needs to take the considerations of all types of players into account and do what is right for the greatest number.

Is this game about fighting with tanks and playing a game or about grabbing boxes? You want more crystals, buy some or earn them the hard way.

and todays news is the best news yet. GOODBYE crystals grabbers.

I think this is one of the best ideas to date. We will finally be rid of all the crystal grabbers and some mults. Now you will get what you deserve, based off the amount you contribute to winning a battle. It used to drive me crazy to do all the work just so some selfish kiddo could run around and grab all MY crystals that I earned. Crystal boxes only fall if people are making kills, so why should someone not even helping the team get any crystals. It is time to stop teaching our young people to be beggars, and teach them they need to earn what they want. MY SUGGESTIONS Leave the battle fund to build as is does now. This way there is still something worth fighting for. instantly pay players as they earn crystals The same way XP is payed out. (for example 10 crystals per kill, which is the current reward. 1 kill, 1 ten point box falls.) make the gold boxes fall in more random places instead of 2 or 3 spots. This will work well with the instant drop idea. With only a few known gold drop locations players, again will just camp on the drop points waiting for an instant grab.

Massive Failure.....Player are just hanging around for crystal boxes. 1 step forward and 3 steps back. I have 1 question what did you think would happen? Oh well at least you have all the new unaware players joining the game. Hopefully you can fool them into buying crystals. ROFL

Raiding is part of the game, like it or not. I am merely trying to educate players of it's existence. This way if you can recognize the signs, leave the battle and minimize your losses if you happen to be on the losing side. As I mentioned earlier, raiding is not against the rules, however the setting up of the raid, MAY be in violation of rules. It would depend on what "the raider" do while the raid is being set up, and is a questionable area. Not so long ago, I was in a battle with our clan and a few friends. We recognized an attempt to set up a raid and were able to hold them back and in fact launch our own counter attack and beat them. My point is, play in groups of friends whenever possible. In my opinion, individual skills are great but if you can't work as a skilled team, you will get beat, and sometimes by "teams" of players with lesser skills.

No need to collect evidence, they are not breaking any rules. It isn't very nice to raided but it is allowed. It is not their fault that they are better organized and stronger.

Clan topics are pre-moderation now. But go read the topic suggested. And once you have read this info post (here) that this topic is "solved" so it can be closed and deleted.

There is some nice reading here lately. I've been very busy and have not had the time to play or comment. It is nice to see you guys are showing respect to this topic and what it stands for as well as each other. :) I too, like to use shaft. Sometimes my kill count may actually be low. For example I may only get 15 kills in a 20 minute game, however those are 15 flags the enemy didn't get to capture, and we win. So who is the VIP in that game. Team mates also need to be aware of where their shaft using team mates are and maybe help protect them once in awhile. If I'm about to be attacked by someone I don't see coming, it would nice to have someone come to my aid. Shaft is the strongest gun (delivers the most HP) in the game, and deserves some respect from teammates. Next time your under attack while running a flag home and a shaft takes out that attacker, saving your butt, try saying thanks. I could have been a "selfish camper" and shot some one closer or easier.

The short answer is, they should. A wise person will take feedback and use it as he/she sees fit. We may not know if they choose to listen or not. The main point is that feedback has been given, and now it is up to the individual to decide if they want improve the guilty of their work or not. The secondary point is that, compared to many other forums, this one has a lot more closed and locked topics, and some for no real reason. We must remember that many of the mods are young and it is the job of older wiser people to teach younger people. I could easily just sit back and say nothing, and allow these young mods to continue on, blissfully unaware that their may be a better way to handle things, one that doesn't have people leaving this forum having had a bad experience.

Thank-You for taking the time to read this topic. A lot of what you say has already been discussed in this topic, however it is nice to have it all summed up in a nice neat package. The main goal of this topic was to make players aware of the issues. If it changes the minds of a few players great, and if doesn't at least they now have something to think about. Some, over time, even change their minds and offer their support. That is all the reward I need from this topic. It is funny you mention Clans, I am co-leader of "The Rusty Relics". We are an all adult clan. So yeah, what you say about being part of a clan helps.

What makes you Mad in Tanki? Things you hate/like in the game?

no, that's the right moment ;) -
Which is kind of my point. If all the "answered" questions are closed then when someone has something new to ask or add they will need to start a whole new topic. More confusion and even more search results to sift through. It makes more sense to be able to just revive an already open topic, even if it is considered old. Remember what is old to some, is new to others.

Yes, sometimes mistakes do happen, but it is usually pretty easy to spot. But mistakes tend to happen to people that are not focusing on what they are doing. If someone can't focus their full attention on a task then maybe that task should be left for another time or person.

I try to stay away from battles with really low ranks,it only frustrates me, as it did you. They may not look like they are breaking any rules, but it hard to tell they may have just been a mult disguised as a bad player. ( I prefer not to use the word noob, to me a noob is a "newbie player" and at WO5 you are no longer a "newbie" To me someone like that is either a mult or just a really stupid player. ) I have added your name. Welcome aboard.
-
There are no rules about being ganged up on. It happens, just leave the battle. And your name is now added. ;)
-
That is exactly why I started this topic. I'm amazed you didn't get any explanation and you don't even get to know who closed.

There are no rules against grabbing crystals, however if you only focus on grabbing crystals you could be found to be in violation of these 2 rules, but it is debatable. 2.1.4. Achieving experience points by deliberate inaction or help from the other team's players in 'Capture the Flag' or 'Control Points' or 'Team Deathmatch' modes or from opponents in 'Deathmatch' mode (so-called power-leveling); 2.1.7. Making arrangements with other Users to fight half-steam to fight 'half-heartedly' with the purpose of power-leveling (the Administration will impose restrictions to all the members of such arrangements); In a DM, I doubt you will ever get banned for it.

If you would like to write up some detailed instructions. I will include them in the second post of this topic.

I have noticed at least 1 Moderator who taken my comments as feedback and has made an improvement. So I feel it was worth it. This was all this was intended to do. There is no feedback topic in this section, and there should be, so here we are. Mods should be able to hide behind the "no open discussion rule". Game Rules: 2.3.22. Express or implicit public discussion of the Administration or moderators of the Game; But there should be a proper place for it. Sending PM's to the admins is not fair to them, it just overloads them. This next part is a bit of a delayed response, I wasn't going to respond at all. Just to defend myself I never said leave all topics open to get out of control. I said leave topics open until they get out of control. No extra work involved. In my opinion, merging similar topics into 1 open topic makes more sense than having 10 closed topics, all with the same question. There are a lot of closed topics that could just be deleted or merged, especially if they no longer serve any useful purpose.

KICK2 is only an idea at this time. They are considering some like this in the distant future, but plans change so we are keeping "kick2" in the spotlight, just in case.

Each and everyday. I have a Canadian flag on my house, my car, and my arm. So I would say I'm a pretty proud Canadian. I just felt extra proud that day. :)

Ok guys. You are starting to get off topic for this topic. :) Many of the recent replies have had nothing to do with the "campaign".
