This is what I think should happen. It makes more sense. I also think it should be adjustable. You can set the protections any way you like but obviously with limits.

Opinions vary. To be clear the lag wasn't that big an issue for me personally, however what I did have an issue with was the fact that 5 days went by without any acknowledgement from the devs at all. I understand they need time to fix it but that doesn't change the fact they could have taken 5 minutes to make some sort of statement. Don't you think we deserve that?

The lag isn't even the big issue here. It is Tanki's complete lack of acknowledgement and /or explanation of what the problem is and when it might be fixed. And they wonder why people comment that they have one of the worst customer service reputations ever seen. Such a unprofessional run company.

They could very easily revert the update until they fix it but they won't. They would much rather have everyone suffer. Maybe this being done on purpose so they can say " Look how much better Unity is. Come play the new Tanki." Sabotaging the flash version to make Unity look even better sounds like something they would consider.

It wasn't by accident

We have been dealing with this lag for 3 - 4 days now and still no information from the developers. Are you on holidays or do you just not care? You wonder why players are losing respect for you. This is the reason why. A statement should have been made during the first day, but as usual we get nothing from you. Even your own mods are getting angry with the fact they want you to make a statement and all you give them is " we are aware of the problem". You expect the mods to deal with your mess with no help from you. How sad for them, I feel sorry for them and wouldn't blame them 1 bit if they all walked of the job. In fact maybe it's time for a mods and players strike. I think it's time to get your act together and start taking care of things like this. It's bad enough that you allowed this lag in the first place but now your say nothing to the players or your mods. Grow a spine, step up and take responsibility for your inaction.

There used to be lots. Now in the fall of 2015 nothing makes me happy in this game. I guess that why I only play 1 - 2 hours a week. Does anybody know how to play the death march?

A test drive? NO I don't need to test drive anything. I've already tried every hull and turret. But we are not here to talk about test drive we are talking about the lag and disconnects. This seems to happen every time they add new features to the game. I guess this is what happens when they test things on the test server. These lags don't get exposed on the test server. Test servers don't face the same issues the regular servers do. Player locations, device types, computer capabilities, server loads and internet connections will all vary considerably more on the real servers and these cause the lag problems.

They do nothing about lag, but hey at least we have test drives. LOL

I think the test drive part of the update is a bit pointless for higher ranks. Why do you need to test drive anything after you have reached the point of a mid rank? Most players will already have bought 1 of everything, at least an m0. Many of you wont be test driving anything you haven't tried before, at some point.This is just a trap to trick players into spending more crystals. They will let you try something for 24 hours, knowing most will want to keep it. This is the trap. They know most people can't resist a sale, so I highly doubt they will offer you anything you can't afford to keep. Is this dishonest? No, it's just smart marketing. Just be sure you don't fall for the tricks and use your heads for more then a place to hang your hats. Be smart and think before you spend blindly. On the plus side it may reduce some of the druggers because they will be saving crystals just in case they get a test drive and /or discount.

Very well put. You explained that from a very neutral position, in my opinion. You used the words "moral responsibility". This is going to be the hard part because I think this is the one thing they really struggle with. Many times their "moral compass" has failed them. I do understand exactly what you mean about it being a business and that staff still needs to be paid and to be honest I feel sorry for their staff. The programmers and even the game developers are not to blame here and I assume that many are suffering right along beside us. It is the people that own the game that have final say and they are ultimately responsible for the dishonest and unethical business practices we are starting to see. Based off of their recent decisions and actions, it is my opinion that they are now selling a discontinued and obsolete product. TO Flash belongs in the clearance bin now, at a greatly reduced price. They have been stringing people along for nearly 2 years about the new Unity version. This was a mistake. They should have kept quite about it until it was at the Beta test stage. They made the same mistake with "Tanki Online 2.0" and that really hurt them. Now they are going to have a real hard time earning any real money. How many people are going to spend money on this version? This version may be gone soon and we STILL don't know if we will be able to transfer. So any money spent here, at this point MAY be a complete waste and many are not willing to gamble on that. They better figure something out fast or they are going to be in trouble, if it isn't too late already.

So, if I understand you, you are telling us that Tanki has abandoned this version and will not be promoting it any longer. If this true, then why are they still willing to take our money? Are they now lying about keeping this version up and running just to try and milk the last bit of money they can out of all the unsuspecting and trusting players? This may indeed be the final nails in the coffin for Tanki. The end is near.

Too many players are complaining about the fact they had to pay full price and earn their m3 garage the hard way. What happens when you buy something at the store and then 6 months later that same thing goes on clearance for 60% off? Nothing. You bought your item at the then current price and you got to use it. Now, many stores and businesses will give you back the difference if an item goes on sale within 14 days of your purchase. What Tanki did with holding the sale right before the release of this update is very dishonest and has made many players angry. They should offer something to those that bought items during the sale that, under today's system, they wouldn't even be able to buy. Those are now wasted crystals and it certainly is within 14 days.

Agreed, but there must be some reason they are doing this. I just haven't figured out what it is yet. Seems strange that they removed an option that could actually make them a little extra. If some one wants to take the more expensive route to an M3, I say let them. It's only more money going back into the game. Does anyone else see something wrong with the logic here. Example: I want to buy an M2 today and an M3 next month They won't let me buy the M2 today because of my rank, so now they have to wait until next month when I buy the M3. They just lost the amount I would have spent on the M2 plus any micro upgrades I may have done during the next month.

Go test it on one of your other accounts. And don't tell me you don't have a lower rank account. By the way, trying the lower rank version of a weapon against high rank hulls is not even close to the same thing. For example, M0 twins is over powered at the low ranks but M3 is not as over powered at the high ranks. Why? Because of the difference in hulls protection and paints. One thing I have realized, is how unbalanced this game truly is. It never occurred to me how many very high rank players, that should be using M3's, are still using M1's and 2's. This only exposes how much of an advantage buyers have in this game. Because in reality they are the only ones that can afford an M3 garage. Well at least until now. The players I really feel sorry for are the ones that have been saving for a real long time to buy an m2 but now due to their rank are stuck with under powered M1 gear because they can't afford the price of an m3. For some the imbalance will shrink but for others it will grow. Actually, no body should be buying anything until they tell us whats happening with Unity. Heck, this game may not even be here in 6 months, so all of this will be for nothing anyway.

No, They wanted to maximize profits first by letting people buy a bunch of things that now they no longer needed to buy. Kind of dishonest practices, if you ask me. For those of us smart enough to see the truth, this is obviously a decision made well before Tanker Day . At least that's what I see. This update will be great for non-buyers but it still stinks of deception. These are the kinds of things that will drive players away. What should have happened was this update should have been released for Tanker's Day instead of having the traditional sale. Everybody would have been happy and we wouldn't have to point out these questionable business practices AGAIN.

You do know they timed it this way for that very reason? You are not the only one that did that. I just bought an m2 version when I could have skipped to an m3. I do like this update and think it will good for the game. It will help lessen the advantage of being a buyer. Unfortunately the timing of it's release is a little dishonest in my opinion. Basically you tricked players into spending all their crystals during the sale, knowing that many of those would be wasted purchases under this new system.

I used to use shaft all the time but since they added the laser and then the mouse controls glitch, I haven't played it. To me, it is not fun any more. I agree with many others, shaft is a sniper weapon and snipers are meant to be hidden. I'm more afraid of vulcan then shaft. Especially if they get an isida camping with them. Who's idea was it to give vulcan unlimited range? It's a machine gun.

Did you watch the V-log? Or is this another case of poor or total lack of communication between the various staff members. We seem to having that issue a lot lately. First with telling players there was going to a 50% sale and now this. Anybody ever heard of a memo? No disrespect to you Jack. I know how hard it is for you to get any accurate information from anybody at Tanki HQ.

Hey that looks like the hull I use. I swear mine is made of paper most of the time. Especially when people with m2's can withstand more damage then me.

All you had to do was say this before the sale.

Mini missions are a joke, it's just their way of saving money. When you cut the missions rewards by 50% and then turn half of the missions into mini missions worth 50% or less, that's 75% for over half the missions. Sounds like a big change to me. Once again the changes made are in Tanki's best interest and not the players or the good of the game. Also they claim that 50% of the missions will be for crystals. I rarely get crystal missions. Now is this a good thing? I believe it is. I often thought that daily missions should only be for those that need them. How hard would it be to filter out supplies missions to those that have 1000's of supplies already or crystal missions to players with hundreds of thousands of crystals. Buyer's don't need hand outs. It's like rich people going to stand in line at the soap kitchen for a free meal.
