I would like to contradict this. Buying m1 equipment at sergeant rank is good, but is not advantageous for a good XP/cry ratio. The reason is simple. As you know, m1s can easily dominate m0s. And, in the sergeant ranks, many people have m0s. So, you will be dominating them. You will be earning huge amount of XP. But, we also know that the battle fund in smaller ranks grows very slowly. So, even if you get 90% of the battle fund, you will end up earning of around 200 crystals, while you might've earned nearly 600 xp. Also, players leaving the battles is not un-common. So, the best method would be to save your crystals and buy an m1 kit when you have reached at least Major sergeant or Warrant officer ranks. Other than that, a good guide.
