How Tanki would be better (If these things were in game)
SicTransitGloria replied to r_Zesx0 in Archive
Sounds like a wonderful idea. Well, most of them. Okay, maybe only a few of the ideas. Or not any. Not any of them, at all. 1. Crystals are supposed to be somewhat rare. That means you have to work to earn them...or you can pay money, which I'm sure the developers would love. 2. Oh noes! You have to finish the game now? ...Wasn't that the point of the game? You play well, you win, you get lots of crystals at the end. Crystals boxes were meant to be supplementary, not primary. Most of the skilled players aren't losing a lot of crystals from this update (if any). 3. Get to a high rank, then you will find that they are a very affordable cost: free. Drugs are meant to be somewhat expensive at lower ranks, because you don't have as much of a use for them. 4. Indeed, Firebird is easy to use and Rico is somewhat misused. That's a question of style, not balancing. 5. You demand "adjustment", but then ask why it was created. If you truly want adjustment, I will tell you this: Paints are coming, and doubtlessly some slight rebalances, too. If you want removal: The devs have spent long months on this project. There is no way this weapon is going away. (I suspect it got its name mainly through Russian voters. There are a lot more of them, after all.) 6. Although yes, Tanki has made a lot of moves that seem sudden and harmful recently, no, doing away with them entirely won't help. The test server doesn't catch everything. 7. I don't know who you polled to get that information, but I imagine another poll could prove that most of the tankers here are happy for the most part. Also: Capitalism! The devs are looking to make money, not a free game. 8. The continuing evolution of PRO battles is part of Alternitiva's plan to make Tanki more profitable. (At least, that's my theory.) They're not going to change it. 9. I'm really not getting what you're trying to say with this "Upgrade" idea. You're saying that upgrades should make some tanks OP in battles so skill doesn't always matter? 10. Not like anyone plays PRO battles anyway... 11. Self destruct is actually very reasonable. Before the update, people didn't shoot other people who were flipped. The penalty is slight enough that it doesn't significantly affect an honest player's score, but heavy enough that a person continually self destructing will feel the pain. "This is not a suggestion. This is a demand." That doesn't really help your case. Remind me again, how long has it been since you played Tanki on your old account? And how much have you played since then? Because as you rank goes, it seems you haven't got much experience in the "new" Tanki. -
The purple looks the best. The gold looks washed out and weak against most backgrounds.

Go play World of Tanks. Then understand that grouping battles based on Rank or equipment doesn't really work. If you group by rank, then you must buy expensive equipment to be competitive. If you group by equipment, then experienced players wipe out noobs. Neither system works perfectly.

What I'm really interested to know is if a Firebird-protection paint will also protect against Machine Gun's burning.

As I have stated before (and will likely state again): My prediction is that this new drug, the Bull Drug, will equip your tank with spikes so that a person may ram a tank. From the vlogs, we know that the new drug must be a type of animal (because all of the test boxes have been animals) and that the new drug must change your tank's appearance (because all of the test boxes have changed the tank's apeparance). Therefore, my prediction falls in perfectly with what has been shown. Also, there was once a Unity Vlog in which they briefly showed a scene of the new drug icon. It's a bull's head.

Wait, did you just copy/paste that first post from another one? Also, using different fonts and colors does not increase your credibility and/or your persuasiveness. But you needn't worry about Alternitiva's paychecks. They have other strategies in the works for making money...

Let us face the facts: This update was sorely needed. And we've enjoyed the fact tat we can now finally hit those sneaky tanks that are holing up. But the fact of the matter is, Tanki did not properly test this update. We've suffered the consequences as a result. This isn't an isolated problem; these untested updates are probably the biggest problem that Tanki's devs face. We might get this fixed. Maybe turret shots won't penetrate as hard or hulls will become heavier. But although it would fix the game for the time being, the larger problem will still remain.

Tanki Online is going. Whether that direction is uphill or downhill depends on the players' opinions. To most players, it is going in a downhill direction. Why? Because Tanki is aiming to make more money, and that goal is starting to conflict with the non-buying players. Tanki is going to make non-PRO battles more and more restricted while continually adding content to PRO battles and battle passes. Tanki will also make a wide array of new paints and other expensive items to encourage people to buy crystals to afford them. I also foresee that Tanki will create a number of extremely expensive items truly profitable only for buyers. This is the direction Tanki Online is going. Tell me: is that uphill, or downhill?

No. Add a few more zeros on there, and I might consider it. Would you drink from a public toilet for $100,000?

Player trombone_ftw has been banned for the next [missingno] years. Reason: Piano is better. →Rules

Has anyone m2 or m3ed a turret without buying crystals?
SicTransitGloria replied to gojoe in Archive
I've been playing one year. I have a few M1s, but I mostly use my M2 Hornet/M2 Rail combo. I still have over 100k crystals in the bank. Never bought, never will. -
But do we get free private battles back? Sigh.
-
You know, we could probably get a lot more gold box zones if we cross-referenced with the "Gold Box!" thread.

I wasn't around when that map left. I only heard about it by scrolling through the deepest depths of Tanki's Facebook page. It's a pity I missed it. When was it removed?
-
That map is Esplanade. That building is located directly halfway between the red and blue bases. Also, I'm really surprised that no gold dropped in the Iran tunnel. That was always a popular gold spot before.

Hold on. VK crystals? What are VK crystals?

We must think about this logically. The most likely reason that they showed us the "Test Box" was a teaser for the new drug. Therefore, this "Snake Drug" is in some ways similar to the drug that will actually be implemented. Interestingly, both the failed "test drug" and the YouTube symbol display an animal. The test was a snake, and the new drug is a bull. Because the "snake drug" physically changed the tank into a snake, I suspect that the "bull drug" will change the tank physically as well. What use will changing into a bull-like form help? Bulls have horns. I am proposing that the new drug will enable your tank to inflict ramming damage.
-
No, there aren't. This is the only topic on why the developers are doing this. Everybody else is just complaining about how bad this update is, but in reality, there are reasons why this is happening.

I gotta get in on this, this is gold. PUN PUN PUN

Your lower battle fund is due to a number of reasons. First, a while back, they changed the way battle funds were distributed in a team. No longer would the scale be exponential, giving the leader a much larger fund. Instead, funds were distributed proportional to score. Second, battle funds were shared more with the losing side. This was to try to help reduce the amount of deserters from losing sides. I've found that the battle fund is usually a little bigger for me, but I never relied on crystal boxes before, and I very rarely drug. By the way, you should get that hashtag going somewhere that it will be useful. You know, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

This, as mentioned before, is probably a teaser for a new drug. It's been hinted at before. In fact, in one of the Unity preview videos, you can actually see it. To me, it looks like a bull. Both the "Snake" drug and the new drug are likely animals. Seeing as how the "Snake" drug physically changed the tank, I see it likely that the new drug will, too. My guess: The new "Bull" drug will cause your tank to grow horns and cause damage by ramming.

How about "Avenger"? Eh? Eh?
