In This topic you can discuss anything you want to do with real life tanks, This can include tanks from other games and similarities between combo's in Tanki and the real things!
Feel free to post pictures and discuss the history and design of your favourite battle machines!
Also, if you have any questions about Tanks from the WW2 era, feel free to ask and hopefully people within this section will help you out!
If you have any questions that you would rather ask via PM, you can message me anytime!
Below are some of my personal favourite Tanks!
Here is a video of the only fully working Tiger 1 in the world!
This tank lives at Bovington tank museum, where it was fully restored, In Britain.

Brief History on the Battle Tank
The history of the tank began in World War I, when armoured all-terrain fighting vehicles were first deployed as a response to the problems of trench warfare, ushering in a new era of mechanized warfare. Though initially crude and unreliable, tanks eventually became a mainstay of ground armies. By World War II, tank design had advanced significantly, and tanks were used in quantity in all land theatres of the war.
The Cold War saw the rise of modern tank doctrine and the rise of the general-purpose main battle tank. The tank still provides the backbone to land combat operations in the 21st century.
Tanks were first deployed in the city of Flers , 15th September 1916 in the battle of Somme as armoured vehicle to cross trenches , barbed wires and cover infantry advance and also be a source of moving artillery and a bunch of machine guns
The WW1 tanks were classified into male and female prototypes
"Male" had the big gun or the cannon with two machine guns
"Female" had a bunch of machine guns but no big gun
the female was made because the producers feared the male version could be trapped in a swamp of enemy infantry

Light Tanks
A light tank is a tank variant initially designed for rapid movement, and now primarily employed in the reconnaissance role, or in support of expeditionary forces where main battle tanks cannot be made available. Early light tanks were generally armed and armored similar to an armored car, but used tracks in order to provide better cross-country mobility.

Medium Tanks
Medium tank was a classification of tanks, primarily used during World War II. The medium tank, as the name suggests, represented a compromise in features between the reconnaissance and mobility oriented light tanks and the armor and armament oriented heavy tanks. The most widely produced, cost effective and successful tanks of World War II (the Soviet T-34, the American Sherman tank and the German Panzer IV) were all medium tank designs

Heavy Tanks
A heavy tank was a subset of tank that provided equal or greater firepower as well as armor than tanks of lighter classes, at the cost of mobility and maneuverability and, particularly, expense.
Heavy tanks have usually been deployed to break through enemy lines, though in practice have been more useful in the defensive role than in the attack. Design goals have included attacking obstacles, creating breakthroughs, and engaging enemy armoured formations.

Tank Destroyers
A tank destroyer or tank hunter is a type of armored fighting vehicle armed with a gun or missile launcher, and is designed specifically to engage enemy armored vehicles. Tanks are generally armoured fighting vehicles designed for front-line combat which combines operational mobility and tactical offensive and defensive capabilities and perform all primary tasks of the armoured troops on the battlefield; the tank destroyer on the other hand is specifically designed mainly for taking on enemy armour.

Artillery
Artillery is a class of large military weapons built to fire munitions far beyond the range of infantry's small arms. Early artillery development focused on the ability to breach fortifications, and led to heavy, fairly immobile siege engines. As technology improved, lighter, more mobile field artillery developed for battlefield use. This development continues today; modern self-propelled artillery vehicles are highly mobile weapons of great versatility providing the largest share of an army's total firepower.

Main Battle Tanks
A main battle tank (MBT), also known as a battle tank or universal tank, is a tank that fills the heavy direct fire role of many modern armies. They were originally conceived to replace the light, medium, heavy and super-heavy tanks. Development was spurred in the Cold War with the development of lightweight composite armor. They are still supplemented in some armies with light tanks.

These are all the main types of battle tanks that I'm aware of. If you know another type that's not on this list, feel free to state it below!
The Kliment Voroshilov 2, My personal favourite Tank with a 152 mm howitzer
KV-2 (side angle)
(Below) This is the Merkava tank. It is a main battle tank used by the Israel Defense Forces. The tank began development in 1973 and entered official service in 1979. Four main versions of the tank have been deployed. It was first used extensively in the 1982 Lebanon War. It was pointed out by @colonel314 That it looks like the Firebird & Hornet, and @champion345 Said he thinks it looks like Hornet & shaft! What is your opinion?
