nah. the loss of crystal boxes was a slap in the face. If you didn't know this was coming....well....there really is no help for it.

Ok, so I've been reading through the chat chain, and the general feeling I get is overwhelmingly negative. (uh, duh. lol.) But guys...think about it. The daily missions can't continue as they are, because no one is going to buy crystals. If one can make 10k in a single hour of play...why bother? I can't say I'm happy about the DM getting cut 50%. But was this really surprising to anyone? :wub: Just remember, at the end of the day, we'll still be getting far, far more drugs and crystals than we ever got with the daily gift. yeah, good point. I guess everyone and their pet dog thinks that hornet and rail are the best together...still, its undeniable that its a very good combo. Which is why everyone loves it :) (well, at least everyone in this chain of posts....)

Railgun is the absolute best weapon tanki has made. The reload time isn't really a big deal, in fact in certain situations it's even helpful (last second adjustments, finding a second target if your first has died before you make the shot etc.) It's one of the most feared weapons on the battlefield. Lets face it. A good railgunner will send all the rest running for the hills. You can snipe, camp, play aggressively, defensively....you name it, rail can do it. My favorite...especially with hornet.

Ok, but remember...reckies can't help that their terrible (lol) AND, if any use micro upgrades and\or are higher ranks "redoing' it, they have a serious advantage. Good ppl - all crystals. Those who haven't got their game in order yet - Nada. Zip. Zero. Nothing. Not even a couple crystals for their trouble. Besides, I have a couple little bros who play tanki and they low ranked (relatively speaking) and the battle funds just don't get as big. If Tanki does keep this, then there will be a mass exodus from the little guys stand point. And that is who they NEED because those reckies are future generallisimos.

Reason #1 If you are unable to stay for an entire battle due to time restrictions, and don't collect your share of the battle fund, you get NO crystals. With crystal boxes, you usually get something for time and effort you spend in battle, even if you can't finish it out. Reason #2 Crystal boxes add excitement and another dimension to the game. They draw players out into the open. Some tankers hover over crystal drop points, providing interesting opportunities for snipers. Reason #3 To the lower ranks, 10, 20, 50, or 100 crystals is A LOT. Crystal boxes can be a significant portion of a reckies earnings. Forcing tankers to rely solely on the battle fund may discourage the players who are still trying to hone their skills and those competing with higher ranks. Reason #4 Speaking of higher ranks, those who have played longer, have more drugs, or better hulls and turrets, have a serious advantage. Before, higher ranked players would often ignore the crystal drop points, instead playing for the battle fund. This created an equalizing effect as it gave any lower ranks playing the opportunity to earn crystals and benefit from battles even when they were outclassed. These are my reasons for NOT doing. Hopefully these changes will not be permanent. THX!!! And I'm sticking by that. BUT, if this is absolutely, 100%for sure going to happen, then it should be optional...You know, when you create a battle, you should be able to say "Crystals" or "No Crystals." That way, CTF games and\or generallisimos will be happy, but everyone else (A whole lot more, I should say) will be able to play with Crys. UGH I REALLY HOPE TANKI DOESN'T DO THIS!!!!!
