In what sense am I wrong? My point still holds that the update seems a bit wasted when devs could be doing things that players actually asked for, i.e. anything other than a matchmaking system that, and I quote "Is pretty much pathetic in it's current state." and "Is far from being perfect." The problem with this is that open testing is about two steps away from implementation in the game, and since open testing has been abolished and replaced with 'testing on the real servers', people are getting salty because they don't want yet another trash update just thrown on the game with the devs/vlog/CM acting like it's a positive. There are heaps of problems such as the ones listed in the post above, and it just doesn't make sense to defend something so rubbish when it seems so close to release stage. Secondly, you make the point about incomplete battles, multing and runners. Incomplete battles aren't all that common any more because the player base is getting so small that it's hard to find any battles at all. Nah but in all seriousness, you can't tell me that incomplete battles are actually as common as you make them out to be. I mean, sure, if you're trolling through the EU 6+ servers, you're liable to find a whole lotta nothing, but below EU 5 (at least it used to be, I legit went on and din't find any battles the other day), there were always full battles, so much so that I struggled to get a place in them the server was 'so busy'. As for runners, it sort of falls into the same place as that point ^, people would leave an someone would instantly join. Finally, multing isn't solved by matchmaking, and sabotaging is only decreased at the expense of players having a good time. I often talk trash to my friends, and when I do, I back it up by beating the heck out of them (or by getting destroyed), but when I can't do that because 'It stops sabotaging', I just get confused. I have in 5ish years of playing tanki, maybe seen sabotaging 3 times in my entire life, and that's over all ranks and before the many friends updates had occurred as well as after. What the heck is that a priority for? Solve lag for goodness sake, nobody cares about multing as much as they do lag. Thirdly, I don't actually care how harsh you are, I love it when mos put on a good roast, but when you're defending an indefensible position, it makes you seem extremely biased, and players get damn suspicious when the mods who defend all of a sudden get premium. (Tbh, I don't accept that mods get prem for defending the game, it doesn't make sense. It just annoys me that you can be so biased and not see it.) Tbh, we don't actually have to care how the devs feel, they're paid to their jobs and they're supposed to do it well, which, as you said, they are currently failing at. The same goes mods, except because they're actual players instead of paid (with money) employees of Alternitiva (or whatever the company thingy is called), we expect them to not only have a little less bias in their answers, but also to be a little less incendiary in their comments, and thus people get flamed and rage. Also, there are plenty of examples (no, I'm not going to find them) of people thanking the devs when good updates come out. Go searching through the forum things and you'll find them. PLUS, you say, "Imagine how the devs feel now. They keep this wonderful game maintained every day..." A: See my 1st point. B: They're paid to do that. If they weren't paid, do you think they'd be doing it from the love in their hearts for the players and for the patriotism of tanki? I think not indeed. C: Wonderful????? WONDERFUL??????????? Tbh, the update seems a bit of a waste. I mean, the system works currently, and it sounds like the system hasn't been taken positively by players, so just don't implement it. It seems to have happened before, where devs just ignore what the players say and implement negative updates, and then get surprised when they find that player numbers are dropping. Coincidence? I think not indeed. Also, mods, get off the games sack. It's not that amazing tbh, and crying about people sharing their opinions is how the game gets worse rather than better. Your incendiary comments don't help anything, and especially don't help feedback. Start using your own brains and stop being so soft.
