This should be posted in the ideas and suggestions section to begin with. That's where different ideas are proposed to be evaluated and checked for their validity and feasibility. I believe the idea of adding bots as you'd call them into this game has been refused multiple times. Tanki is a dedicated online game and it is not the intention of the devs to add offline game elements to it. About hulls needing extra armor, I totally agree, because we have several new elements added into the game (drones, some alterations, Viking's OD, etc..) which can easily boost damage into insane levels. Hope we can see something like this happen soon. Tanki, like all games, eventually loses its initial appeal to its older players, who then move on to other recent games that better suit their changing gaming styles. It's completely normal to see a dwindling player base, what's not normal is to see a game like this survive and remain intact for a whole decade, that's pretty impressive if you ask me.

It's sad when you get 5 gold boxes from a container but need 5k for a battle pass to create a private battle and use them.

Magnum-Hornet is becoming a popular combo now. The ability to rotate this turret puts it on par with the more dynamic ones, and can actually make it more effective on light hulls than heavier hulls. These are the kind of alterations I like, because there's no unfair advantage gained, just a different gameplay style introduced.

The more I think of it, the nerfs on Mammoth's OD really were overdone. Back when they first announced the changes, I thought it was a buff because I assumed it would recharge a lot faster, but I was wrong. It takes around 2 minutes and 20 seconds, which doesn't feel like much of an improvement from the days where that wait time could give you 10 seconds of overdrive.. I think they needed to buff Wasp's overdrive anyway, which was likely their excuse for making those kills charge the OD.

Unlike Twins, Ricochet doesn't need any particular alteration to be effective. The long range alteration should be used for team battles in my opinion, the stock version for deathmatch battles. Plasma torch? For parkour maps, that's where I mainly find use of it. Its effectiveness isn't confined to medium and heavy hulls, if you have what it takes Ricochet can easily do well on a Hornet / Wasp, although it may get pretty frustrating eventually due to low stability and protection.

Most paints are so ugly you could call them depressing.

I believe 4 modules each with 50% protection wouldn't be pushing it, in fact I think that should do the trick. Remember that even if you do spend millions of crystals into modules and their upgrades, you're always going to be unprotected against nearly 80% of damage, rendering much of those investments worthless. We owe it to ourselves to request an additional module slot, to make more use of what we've put so much effort into obtaining.

Oh, I didn't know Mammoth's OD had the same issue. I'm guessing the overdrives meant for offense do not get a bonus charge from the kills they achieve, and only the defense and support based ones do. That's fair enough but I'd rather the devs not mess with them anymore.

I just realized the tanks I kill when using Viking's overdrive do not contribute to the charging of it, and it already takes more than 4 minutes to fully recharge. Want evidence of what I've said? Well I killed 3 tanks when using it in a match, but after those 7 seconds ended the OD meter had barely charged to 10%, while it was supposed to be +25% based on the information given above. I am sure this isn't a bug and that Viking's overdrive really is bad, which I don't really mind because I'm not a fan of it, but hey at least it does give its users some sort of adrenaline rush when activated, perhaps that's the only interesting thing about it.

This is dumbest and funniest sight I've seen today, making it was really fun.

Yes, exactly. The percentage difference column shows the boost in DPS given by the alteration, and that only between 80 and 115 meters can a normal Thunder outmatch its sledgehammer counterpart.
-
I'm posting the result of my calculations comparing the damage of normal m4 Thunder with that of an m4 sledgehammer Thunder. This took me more than 2 hours to finish, and I am very sure it's correct. Assumptions are based on information given in the wiki. These numbers are rounded up to no decimal places, if you want to see the raw numbers then I'll post them as well. My conclusion is that sledgehammer should indeed be considered an upgrade, since its DPS beats that of normal Thunder in the majority of range possibilities.

Cosmetics and accessories do not affect gameplay in any way, so I don't see a problem with them. I'm also fairly certain that not many players have cool paints, there's a lot of ugly ones out there, especially the animated paints. If tanki sees no profit with the release of all these new paints I'm sure they would cease to do that by now, but that's not the case. I don't mind having stickers, rear-view mirrors, GPS, coffee makers, or anything like that implemented in the game. Anything but another P2W disaster like drones.

Great overdrive, bad hull.

Interesting, so if this alteration barely has any downside, isn't it considered an upgrade then? I'm pretty sure it meets the definition of an upgrade. Upgrades make a weapon more powerful in any situation. Alterations on the other hand, can make a weapon shine in one certain situation but perform terribly when faced with a different one it wasn't meant for.
-
I tried an 11/20 upgraded Gauss on my friend's account, it still underperforms quite often. It's almost exclusively effective when you have DD equipped and the enemy has no protections at all, if these conditions aren't satisfied then it's outmatched by most turrets it encounters. Now imagine its performance when the majority of players start using owl modules.
-
If you don't ram into enemies, your projectiles will rarely hit them, so you often need to do that, even though I personally dislike the strategy.
-
Sounds like someone hasn't been using the full potential of this turret.
-
Yes, it's definitely not good enough without that alteration, you have to try it to know what I'm talking about. I cannot fathom how some players could even join a battle without having it equipped, although for matchmaking I do agree the long range alteration is better for larger maps. When I first got Twins m3, the only thing I noticed was that its performance was seriously lacking compared to my Ricochet. You may think the splash damage is helpful, but the radius is so damn small you need tanks to be glued to each other for it to actually make an impact. In my opinion, a Twins that can't slam into other tanks without taking self-damage is a failure of a turret. This gun isn't like Thunder or Magnum, here you need to be close to enemies to be able to deal full damage. There's even a Twins kit named "Ram", must be called that for a reason. .
-
I'm not going to try and change your mind because it is in fact an underwhelming alteration, which is impractical for most situations. Stabilized plasma is by far the most useful alt. for Twins, if you don't have it already then you've made a big mistake not buying it.

Keep using Railgun at the moment, it will definitely help you more on your way to Major. However, I suggest you do not upgrade it too much, because its damage increase is not significant and will be offset by the heavier modules you'll encounter in later ranks. After reaching Major proceed to go with your original plan of getting uranium for the m2 Striker, you'll most likely feel a boost in your performance, because honestly I have no idea how such a powerful alteration is unlocked so early.
-
Thank you for the info, I'm gonna try to disable mip-mapping and adaptive fps to see if the performance increases for me.
-
Maybe buying the module for Firebird was a mistake, maybe I should've instead got the Freeze module, I don't know, this really sucks. Both turrets start with the letter F, think about that for a moment.
-
My Warrant Officer 2 account was put in a battle that had a Major in it, this is like an 8 rank difference isn't it. Hey, does enabling mip-mapping improve the game performance for you? For me it usually makes the game lag even more, even though it's supposed to do the opposite, right?
