Shaft in particular was nurtured by adding the laser. Shaft was ineffective other than in certain types of warfare. Sniping was its main attribute. A very few players could overcome these difficulties. The addition of the Laser ruined this weapon beyond all imagination. It was not enough that this turret had very long reload, that it was exceptionally vulnerable due to it narrow vision. Not only does shaft need to acquire a target it then takes an age for the scope and gun to charge. In the mean time it has given away its position to all a sundry, including its intended victim. The ruining of shaft was not tweaking at all, it was not a little over the top it was far, far more than that. Many people pay real money for something, they do not expect it that it is devalued to such an extent, in one fell swoop! Within a similar time frame other weapons had improvements. The biggest complainants about shaft were Railgun users who were mainly using Hornet or Wasp hulls. The very nature of Shaft makes it extremely difficult to operate in open warfare, it has mainly to operate covertly, mainly camping. It is now impossible to perform in this way properly, so those that do use heavier and heavier hulls and take an even smaller part in the running battle. their is no stealth at all. On the other side of the coin Smokey which had improvements now adopts many of the hiding places of shaft and has not only usurped it role, it is still able to gallivant about the field, just as it always did. However now we are snipped at by Smokey, Thunder and to some extent Railgun. We have no idea where the shots come from just as was the case made against Shaft. The difference is that all other weapons allow units freedom of open play which shaft never had. "nobody should have a competitive edge — everybody should have an edge and a weakness" you say, 3 weopons have more than competitive edge are Smokey, Vulcan and Hammer, the next most competitive turret is Railgun which was once the number one offender. I hardly ever use shaft now, it is now very unsatisfying to use. It once gave a lot of pleasure because it needed a great deal of problem solving to overcome its many deficiencies.

It must have been a very small map because Mammoth takes an absolute age travel anywhere. It would normally be pure chance that it was in the correct place. You appear miffed because you could not use your advantage of speed over Mammoth and he used his Mass over you . It is just sower grapes on your part.

At first I too thought it was my key board, so I changed it and it still misfired. I believe development might be behind this.

I have noticed that as well. It has probably been brought in to kill shaft because some still cling to it doggedly despite all the nerfing that it has received.

I believe that it is far too simplistic, to equate to those who have bought with real cash as being skill less and to those who have advanced by only fighting, as having skill. It makes no difference at all, there being both skilled and non skilled in either side. The skill mix will be slightly different that is all.

I look forward to Experiencing Tanki X. What concerns me is, when I hear the words, "improve the game" . This could be, as when using the Tanki Translator, reduce the effectiveness of ones arsenal, make my weapon of choice even more ineffectual and disadvantaged. Regardless of how much was paid for it.

Thank you for that, very kind of you. I do those things, I try to accomplish all in one game if possible. I am just relaying how I have found it recently. with multiple accounts as do many people, i am sure as your self, it becomes tedious, onerous and conscripted. At first it was fun, playing games that I might not have played, but no I find that I may be playing games that i do not really want to play. Perhaps their might be some proof with statistical analysis, that their has been an improvement in attendance and revenue. If so can they publish it and audit this on a regular basis.

Perhaps, for the very longest serving players, who may have been denied many of today's privileges that are offered to the newer players, might be very hard to palate. They may have been forced to advance to certain rank, after serving a lengthy apprenticeship, before being able to purchase the best equipment? Now they see all and sundry, appearing with heavy machinery and armory, at lowly rank. Their are two ways of looking at this. A culture was introduced and followed, that of waiting, until the very best equipment was earned by rank and achievement. Yet now, this has all but gone. To be replaced by a culture of, if you have the money, you can have what you want, when you want it. This is bound to have caused resentment and insecurities on both sides because of the culture differences. Sounds a little familiar doesn't it. Secondly the more established player assumes more skill and tactical awareness. Yet at the very same time, seem in some instances, to fear, the nooby, I hate that expression. When the new obtained that very converted equipment, it might have been seen that the differences in playing skill, might not be as marked as one might expected. The newer player no longer respected the established greats of the game because some of them could then beat some of the Gods. Again, this built up resentments. The cultures were well established. Tanki had seen fit at some stage to change the social order and rules of respect and reverance.

I have said this sort of thing many times. It is the way the game is set by default. Try and look at the ranking of games and who might be in them before entering. Set your own games and take care.

I receive some missions that I do not like and stew and then their are a few that I am happy to do, and some that I have to ponder but still I cannot do! Instead of going all potty and going all blue I go to the lavatory and have a :P :wub: ! It is all becoming very tedious however. It was OK at first but more like work than pleasure. Their is little flexibility. One finds ones self, chasing about the various servers, looking for suitable games. After finding a game, it full of inappropriate rank. I am not necessarily talking about this account! After eventually finding games, that look worth while, joining in. What happens, they all disappear all at once. Where, I have no clue. Do I smell? So look, look and look again, same result. Set up ones own games and wast half of one hour just waiting. Leave that malarkey and find another game, its full and so on and so on. Change tasks, oh I wish I kept the other one. Considering that crystals just fell from the sky, this hunter gatherer existence stifles the will to live! Well, metaphorically speaking, one feels like plugging ones fingers into the Isida electric socket, climbing into Hammers cavernous bin like orifice and investigating the possibility of finding an alternative way of travel to the moon. Perhaps the dentist might offer some more pleasant past times, drilling for gold without the pleasantries of anesthetic. Is this what the treatment is if one falls foul of the secret service? Many do not manage to save enough crystals but some do manage. I think that to exist without real cash for very long can be uncomfortable for those wanting success quickly.

Just take note when the lag takes place. their is usually also a degradation in visual quality as well as sloppy tank control. Not if you battle is getting busier, more players. How busy is the server. What maps are worst. End of school day is bad frequently I have noticed. I am sure that you will note similar observations. to above posts.

I agree with this They have been having problems with servers almost for ever and have not improved things one bit. Better bigger servers adopting your suggestion and ditching FLASH!

People who try to auto prompt closure of a topic is because they object to it and want to influence sanction. They are not interested in democracy only their own interests. They are usually incapable of applying objective reasoning to their own argument, so they try to get something closed or banned.

Chat in games should be short and limited to the game dynamics. Much of what is said is about anything but that. It is a distraction to far too many players. One wonders what are they doing. particularly if loosing! After the game if the other side have deserted fine. Players with too much to say in game should be suspended for multing.

But no one would ever get to read your posts ever again. You would be all alone in the world, wondering why no one ever talks to you. :ph34r:

I believe that the new operating system will be better. In fact anything will be better than FLASH. Flash should have ended many years ago and is very problematic platform . It constantly invades privacy even when setting against this. It even has microphone listening. Put the setting against some of this behavior and check it some time latter and its reverted to default spy. Its not the only program to do thid but it it is known as one of the worst.
