M1 Ricochet and M1 Hunter... No doubt about that

I think my very loooooong term plan is this: Warrent Officers -> Nothing Lieutenants -> M2 Isida, M2 Hornet Capitan & Major -> Nothing (Possibly Digital) Colonials -> M2 Viking, M2 Smoky Brigadier -> Isida M3 Generals -> Emerald, Inferno, M3 Hornet, M3 Viking Marshal -> Prodigi, M3 Smoky

Hey TKP, I was wondering which hull you would suggest (or you use personally) with Smoky, since you wrote that awesome guide about Smoky so I think you know which goes best...

Oh, you already are getting it? Hmm... M1 Dictator and M1 Railgun might be a good idea. M1 Hunter and M1 Thunder is another thing to look at as well, but its really expensive.

LOL if you were doing a Hornet/Railgun duel against a guy with Tundra and you were wearing normal green paint, I'm pretty sure the guy with Tundra would destroy you.

Even if it had 30% Rail protection? Really? This is a super cheap paint for its protections.

True, true. I'm not sure Viking complements Smoky that well though. I feel that Smoky is probably better off on a Titan or a Wasp...

I forgot to mention: I also was looking at Viking/Freeze, since that looks like a reliable defense combo, while Viking/Thunder is a good midfield combo. Any thoughts about Viking/Freeze?

Long Term Plan: M2 + M3 Smoky/Viking vs M2 + M3 Thunder/Viking? I need some help deciding between the two combos... (M2 + M3 Hornet/Isida are coming standard, that's for sure) *Hornet's price is too much to resist. So cheap and more stable! Plus, M3 Hornet unlocks at Major General, only 2 ranks after Colonial, where M2 Wasp unlocks. So, the final question: Viking/Smoky or Viking/Thunder? Which is a better combo?

Hmm... Now that I think about it, I might get M3 Thunder rather than M2 Smoky. IMO M3 Thunder + M3 Viking with drugs is a killer combo. I tried it out on the test server a while back and it was a awesome with drugs, so I might get M2 + M3 Thunder instead of M2 + M3 Smoky.

I really can't decide what to save up for. I can't waste crystals, and I don't want to make the wrong purchase. Ideally, I would save up for M2 Wasp/M2+M3 Hornet and M2 Railgun/M2 Smoky, but, those will take a long, long time to get to. I need some help on what to save up for... I am getting M2 and M3 Isida, that's for sure. I need to rank up quickly + it is a cheap turret (This is a long-term plan...) All reply's appreciated. I really need some help! Thanks! :)

I've used M1 Wasp/M1 Rail since I was WO3 when I got M1 Rail on Halloween. I never really liked Hornet, but its price is very appealing at M2 and it's unlocked early. I don't have M1 Hornet, so would it make sense for me to fully MU my M1 Wasp and then save for M2 Wasp, since M2 Wasp has amazing stats (much better than M2 Hornet, that's for sure) and is the hull of my favorite combo? Because Coloneal is very, very far away, and I'll need a M2 by then... I am definitely buying M2 Rail, that's for sure, and possibly also M2 Isida to rank up more quickly... TKP, M3 Hunter is also superior than M3 Viking. M3 Viking has barely more armor, and Hunter has much more speed. At M1 it isn't even a contest though. :P

I wish that we didn't need to buy a pro pass to make a private battle. Besides that, this update is sick! But, it won't be super popular unless you restore the old private battle format...

Hunter is the best medium hull, and probably the best hull in the game. It has the speed, the armor, and absolutely looks beautiful with every paint and every gun (Ok, not every paint). IMO Ricochet + Hunter is absolutely unbeatable if you are skilled with it. Hunter is overall the best tank in the game in terms of stats and looks. Saving for M1 Hunter right now. :P

Tundra or Digital? I'm far away from being a capitan, but I'm not desperate for paints :P. Digital has excellent camoflauge for Summer Maps like Serpuhov and Kungur, which I play a lot, and it's cheap for its rank (About 40,000 crystals on Sale). But Tundra is so much cheaper (17,000 crystals on sale), and it has Quality Railgun protection, though its camoflauge is useless for anything besides Noise and no one uses long range turrets there (I don't play Winter Maps). Which one should I get? I'm not desperate for paints! But, I will need some Railgun protection once I get to Capitan for sure. Thanks :)

M1 Smoky and M1 Wasp used to be my favorite combo :P It's still one of my favorites! But I like using Railgun more, as well as Freeze :mellow: I might switch back after reading this guide ;)

I do, and I work hard. I'm glad with the new fund distribution, and I'm glad that crystal boxes were removed. I just think it supports buyers too much... They can buy tons of equipment that I work for and save up for, and then I have to wait for sales, but gaining crystals is now easier actually :)
