Kits are only available upto a particular rank. Freeze M1 and Vik M1 unlocks before your rank, so that is the reason the Cupid kit vanished. Same must have happened with the Vampire kit as you say. They are not removed deliberately, just to "persuade" you to buy more expensive kits. The reason is the system; you cannot remain as competitive buying lower-ranked equipment at a relatively higher ranks, so the kits are automatically removed once you reach a certain limiting rank for it.

How long does it usually take for the AE to install? It's 25 minutes, and around 40% is complete..
