    What is that supposed to mean? Imagine that a new Mexican restaurant opens in your neighbourhood. The owner has the business idea of offering chilli con carne for free, while expecting to make his ends meet with selling drinks and side dishes, for which guests must pay. Now you go there every day, order chilli and nothing else, and loudly mock those other guests who buy drinks and side dishes as allegedly "not so smart". Are you able to reflect on this little story?

    As I just wrote in another thread, the misguided perpetual nerfing of the Hunter overdrive is an absurd story. Actually that overdrive by now is certainly underpowered in terms of gameplay. The only reason why this overdrive got so much protest in the forum, that is because it apparently annoys Wasp brats in their childish obsession with goldboxes. So an attractive feature of the game for an adult hull was and is being nerfed into oblivion for reasons that have nothing to do with actual gameplay. The first thing which must be done is shortening the waiting period between activation of the overdrive and its effectiveness back to its original value. And then one might consider increasing range and stunning period ...

    Shooting and killing does not reset the "inactivity" clock, only moving the hull does. I play much Shaft myself, and this inactivity clock feature clearly appears as a major nuisance or even a bug with respect to active, though not hull moving, users of the Shaft weapon.

As I find such an astonishing lack of empathy for Hornet-Vulcan-Defender players in the comments here, I would like to link to the "Ride of the Valkyries" scene from the movie Apokalypse Now, which authentically illustrates the attitude with which these players enter battle. I often listen to Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries via Spotify during such battles.
  6. You do not have to lose hope. You might start with a Freudian approach, reflecting that the other players do in your mind represent your parents arbitrarily keepnig the candy box closed to you. You might advance to a Jungian perspective, looking at your deep dissociation and starting your journey for wholeness. Or you might focus on a plain behavioralist approach, for example playing with a Dictator and an Isida and this way experiencing yourself as a valuable member of society in this game.
  7. Despite you starting your comment with the word "Nope", I see that we are in agreement about the basic facts. Those brats which are the most pathetic failures as human beings, those are using a Wasp with a recoil weapon, thus also demonstrating a total absence of class in their lost souls. I usually refer to these creatures as "jumpers", because the recoil of their weapon makes their tanks jump like clowns. The most divine pleasure Tanki has to offer, and the most valuable service to our species homo sapiens that one can provide in this game, this is is to destroy a jumper with a well placed shot by Shaft, Railgun or whatever at the peak of a jump.
  8. As you probably played against Wasp players before, did you not get overwhelmed by the impression that you are dealing with despicable spoiled brats, whose parents utterly failed in education, and that you now have the opportunity, and the responsibility to humanity, to correct what you can?
  9. I frequently played that combination in late 2018 and early 2019. Due to some changes, I do not find it attractive any more. In particular the nerfing of the Titan dome and the new Vulcan mechanics sealed its fate. Also players in general have learned to avoid fire from a stationary Vulcan much better. So it is not only the sexy Hornet overdrive, but also the new machanics of Vulcan and player behaviour, which encourage a mobile use of Vulcan on closer range, on a Hornet hull.
  10. No. All my seven hulls are fully upgraded, but I only extremely rarely use Wasp. I have a low opinion of the hull. Some seven years ago, after starting my Tanki account and playing a couple of battles, I decided that I like the game and that I have a mission in this game, punishing Wasp players. I am still true to this mission. While there are many fun aspects in Tanki (this current Hornet-Vulcan-Defender fashion being one of them), I know no greater joy than sniping a Wasp with my Shaft.
  11. I can assure you that it is excellent fun to be one of these Hornets with Defender drone (and preferably Vulcan as a weapon). I have to play much PRO battles without supplies and drones as well, to keep a balanced personality. Join us on the dark side, we have cookies.

    What would make the HTML5 version awesome FOR YOU?

    The battle list in the HTML5 version urgently needs a major improvement. The abyssal state of this feature represents everything that players dislike about the HTML5 version, and the abyssal state of this feature is an utter professional shame for Tanki game designers, developers and programmers. I am aware that the HTML5 version was designed on the basis of the mobile version. I am aware that this is the root cause why people playing on PCs and Labtops (as inter alia almost all of Tanki's good customers do) find an absurd lack of information on any single screen in the HTML5 version. I am aware that Tanki game designers, at their own peril, do not plan to comprehensively solve this issue. But in this one concrete instance, it must be done. It is not at all difficult to add a column with the map names (as it always existed in the Flash version), it is not at all difficult to use different symbols for different format battles, and it is not at all difficult to add filters for battle settings. But it must be done. I will not even talk about previewing the list of players in a battle without leaving the page (as it always existed in the Flash version), because this might need some programming effort, and I mention only the simplest points. Please do this, and do it quick. You are unnecessarily annoying your customers, and you are keeping players away from your HTML5 version.
  13. When the MMS sends players into the late stages of a battle, which is unconvenient for several obvious reasons, at least their Overdrive should be fully charged when entering the battle. This would mitigate much of the anger among players for being sent into the late stages of a battle.

    Augments are back!

    Very much appreciate. This new alteration/augment system is perfect, better than from containers only, and also better than the status quo ante where weapons alterations/augments made an incomprehensible pricing jungle in the garage, many of them too cheap in comparison with other stuff. Well done, Tanki developers!

    Let's talk about some "alarming" aspects of the game...

    You do not need premium or a battle pass any more to play PRO battles. It was an update some months ago. Everybody can play PRO battles they choose and without supplies, if and whenever they wish so. Or they can spend their time not playing PRO battles they choose and without supplies, but rather come to this forum and complain that MM battles would not fit their desires, although the solution for their problem is only three quick clicks away.

    If you get hit once with a charged shot, you might choose to move away in order to not get hit again. And be happy that the enemy gave you the opportunity to press 2, 3 and 1 in quick succession and play on with a heathy tank on full supplies, which you would have had to wait for, for 30 seconds more, without the hit.

    As an enthusiastic Gauss player, I do consider buying this new Gauss alteration, but there is a serious issue with it, which I experience when encountering it, and that issue is a strong argument against buying. Namely, it helps the the target of a charged shot to significantly shorten its supply cooldowns. Example: When I have just ended my DD supply time and 30-second-cooldown started, and DA supply time is about to end and 30-second-cooldown to start, and then I get hit by a shot with this alteration, I only have 5 seconds until I can activate either, and then another 10 seconds to activate the other. So while I dislike getting hit twice (and probably killed) with this alteration, I actually often appreciate getting hit once with it, because I am faster on with full supplies that I would have been without the hit. Am I correct to assume that this is a bug and not a feature?

    If you do such a thing again, please (a) make the map comprehensible, i.e. do not arbitrarily colour those regions that can be attacked in a colour completely different from the colour of the faction which owns it. Use a more decent hint system for the imbeciles among the Tanki players who would not understand where they can attack, actually attacking unreachable regions is technically impossible anyway. And (b) make it technically impossible to choose defence of a region that cannot be attacked by any other faction, there is a significant proportion of players who lack the intellectual capacity to understand which regions are in danger of an attack and which are not.
  19. Absolutely. After this turn, we Snowmen will have few regions, among them 5-point Kungur and Santas' capital (the latter being 5 points only for us, not for Santas), which will be very well defended. We will see if Santas are smart enough to keep their chances on winning the war and attacking Elves, or if they waste their attack forces in huge battles on these Snowmen strongholds.
  20. While the battle for Siege is close, Molotov will certainly be liberated from green vegan occupation. And while our Snowmen attack forces are horrified by the level of brutal oppression the good people of Molotov have suffered under the occupation, we find them so happy that with their liberation, they once again can eat meat, drink milk, afford their electricity, use their car, fly to a holiday destination, save their children from eco-zealot indoctrination, openly speak their mind without fear of retribution, smoke a cigarette, be the authors of their own lives.

    We are petitioning Tanki programmers to disable the discounts for your account, as a punishment for spamming the Forum section of the Snowmen faction in the "Christmas War" with malevolent nonsense.

Imagine how much Snowmen and Snowwomen could come back if they would not stupidly over-defend the capital (currently 73.00 defenders for only 14.000 attackers) but defend where battles are close. Imagine how much Snowmen and Snowwomen could win this game if they would in their attack votes 1give due care to creating a contiguous territory, and eliminating enemy bridgeheads, instead of wild expansion. We could save humanity from both red communists and green vegans.

    i gave both Booster and Saboteur a try to prove you wrong with exp numbers staying the same after the battle. Though, it worked as it should in both cases. I assure you it did not work for at least a week, I honestly assure you ...
