    [Map Breakdown] Aleksandrovsk

Explain? I can agree that having a midfield is important so that there will be less enemies infiltrating your base, but most important? Psst: Not arguing, just want to hear your side of the story :)

    [Map Breakdown] Aleksandrovsk

Well, I'm classifying a type of defender as a sniper. I'm basically referring to Tanki as if it were football (soccer, as Americans say.) I include defenders being those located in their own base protecting the enemy from getting their flag, midfielders being those in the middle preventing the opponent from even entering their base, and attackers being those who attempt to get the flag. Midfield is probably the least important position, and if you want you could refer to midfielders as just defenders. Snipers are a type of defender, but you can have anybody be a defender really. Some combinations work better than others, however, and I'll start referring to which combination to use for which position in a future article.

    [Map Breakdown] Aleksandrovsk

Midfielders are the people in the battles who do not attack the opponent's flag, but also do not directly defend their own flag. These are the people in the middle of the map who try to keep the opponent out of their territory. Thanks for the feedback, and I am including a map at the top of the next article I have written (another Map Breakdown). Also, I think I might have confused a bunch of people with this sentence. What I meant to put was "One defender with full health and four defenders with low health will easily fall to four attackers with full health." Complete typo, I do apologize if this confused anybody else. This issue has been fixed. Thanks, -tony990_Superstar

Hmm probably Brazil. Their side of the bracket is pretty easy, so they'll be well rested for the finals. The other two groups (C and D) have to beat some pretty tough teams. In groups A and B, Brazil and Colombia are the only good teams really. In groups C and D, there is Mexico, Argentina, Germany, and Portugal. Should be interesting though.

    [Map Breakdown] Aleksandrovsk

INTRODUCTION: TANKI BREAKDOWN -ALEKSANDROVSK- Hello tankers, and welcome to my first of hopefully many Tanki breakdowns. In this article and the future articles to come I will be breaking down maps to help guide tankers on ways what to look out for, where to go and what you need to do to survive in Aleksandrovsk. First, for a little background information. Aleksandrovsk is the name of a town in Russia in the district of Perm Krai. It is located in eastern Russia and is home to around fourteen and a half thousand people. Now onto the good stuff: how to survive in Aleksandrovsk. If you have a short-range weapon (smoky, twins, freeze, firebird, isida, etc.) you need to watch out for snipers on high ground. Snipers can be hiding behind trees or out in the open, but the moment you see someone aiming at you with a shaft, you need to hide and hope for the best. Try to work with your team to take them out. It’s even harder with a railgun, because if you are not looking in the direction of the railgun the blast will surprise you, and you will be destroyed. There is one bridge in Aleksandrovsk parallel to the higher ground in the center of the map. This bridge is in the middle of the bases, and it is known to be the highest point of crossfire on this map. Steer clear of this bridge, it is extremely dangerous and only one or two people in a five-man attack will survive. The same goes for the high ground in the middle. This is because these two locations are neutral territory and make terrific locations to cut off the attacking team or to have a midfield attack that could be costly for not only your team, but the other team as well. Be very careful on this map, because there are many corners. Other tankers will be hiding behind these corners waiting to ambush you. These is exceptionally common near the blue base. If you are playing in a nighttime battle in Aleksandrovsk, a firebird or freeze may be behind the small disconnected wall, waiting for you to come close enough that they can harm and/or destroy you. The key to winning offensively on Aleksandrovsk Capture the Flag is to attack in groups. If you’re on the blue team, attack in a group of three or five people, preferably five. If you attack in a group of three, have one person attack from each side of the large ramp and one person go OVER this ramp. If you have five people attacking, the other two people will be backups. These two other people (starting from lower ground) will split and be the second wave from behind. One tanker should take the right ramp while the other should take the left one. If you’re on the left side, you will most likely be ambushed at the bridge if you don’t take cover immediately. Get under the bridge as fast as you can and proceed forward in a straight line, close to the wall. Go behind the building and when you reach the end, turn right and take the flag or help defend your partner. Your partner will be the guy coming from the right, who will take the right ramp, turn left and proceed to the corner of the map before turning left and ambushing the red team as well. The blue team has a bit of an advantage in Capture the Flag, because they have more places to quietly sneak in. The key to winning on the red team in Capture the Flag is to stay as hidden as you possibly can. This is hard on this map, because when you are attacking the blue base there aren’t many hiding place. Sneak behind the high ground in the middle proceeding away from your flag. When you get to the corner of the high ground, stay close to the wall and rush across the little street in the middle. Continue behind the buildings until you reach the lower ground that is the blue team’s base. This is a popular defensive spot for the blue team, so you’re going to need to be quick in making your attack. The best way to get around this is to attack in groups of three or four, all in a row. The first two attackers can serve as a sacrifice and can make the opponent lose ammo as the next two attackers come in. Assuming everything goes accordingly, the third attacker should pick up the flag and rush to the ramp on their left. When they get to higher ground they will most likely be destroyed, either by a possible ambush from a blue team member from the bridge or from a defender that will trail them attempting to destroy them. It is the fourth attacker’s job to back up the third attacker, destroying anybody to the right, left, or behind them. If the third attacker is destroyed, the fourth attacker will be in charge of taking the flag back to the base. In this case, getting to higher ground is important since the direction you will be heading is in wide open space and makes the flag clearly visible. Get to higher ground and make sure to dodge any shots coming your way. The most important thing on this map is your midfield. Your midfield is in charge of destroying anybody attempting to make an attack while also trying to get the flag themselves and backing up the person who has the flag if they are heading in their direction. Remember, however, that this is Capture the Flag. The flag is your number one priority, so make sure the person with the flag gets to the base successfully. The best format in a full battle is a 4-3-5 format. You definitely need to strengthen your defense and have a few midfielders spread out through the map. You also need to have your offense strong enough that they can attack the base and obtain the flag. Your offense needs to attack in a clump, because if you don’t then there will be many one-on-five attacks that will mostly fail, if they can even make it past the midfield. Even if your four-on-five attack fails, there are no repair boxes located near either team’s base. By your next four-on-five attack, at least sixty percent of the opponent’s defense should be destroyed and the other forty percent should be low on health, unless they use their repair box supply. Even so, one defender with full health and four defenders with low health will easily fall to four attackers with full health. That’s all for this time tankers. Good luck in Aleksandrovsk, and remember to steer clear of the bridge and the high ground. Good luck! -tony990_Superstar

Episode 99 of the V-LOG is here

Congrats, well read the rest of my message. You obviously don't know squat, so instead of trying to tell your propaganda on this forum to make this new update seem better than before, listen to what they are saying and translate it so that you understand...or I can do it for you: Paints are separated into two parts, the paint itself and the protection the paint offers. Now that the paint has 0 value when it comes to protecting yourself and is worth just as much as the Holiday paint (one of the non-protection paints from before the update) buying these 100,000 paints or really any paint is useless, because it does not give you any protection. If you want protection, you need to buy a protection and upgrade it to its maximum power. This basically now means that in addition to upgrading your hull, you can upgrade your protection to get even more protection. If they hadn't split it this basically means you can now have an M3 paint.

This is my point...buying paints is now useless because there is no protection that comes with the paint. You think you know so much, try reading between the lines. Congrats, I've been playing since November 2014, even before on Miniclip. I am not talking about him I am talking about you lol you only hear what you want to hear and see what you want to see when the truth is there is no protection for paints anymore, so have fun spending thousands of crystals on paints that will be essentially useless.

Episode 99 of the V-LOG is here

No, they separated the protection from the paint so that your paint now has no power and you can now spend 100,000 to make your tank look cooler...what's the purpose of buying paint now? It has no protection anymore, now you have to buy that individually. My green paint is now equivalent in protection to the Africa paint. You are a Warrant Officer 1 you know nothing noob lol you are probably one of the people that will continue to buy paints despite their lack of protection.

lol what happened was they took your paint that you spent 1,000-100,000 crystals on and made it just as powerful as the standard green paint you get when you first register...now it is ridiculous if you spend more than 50 crystals on a paint.

Yeah but still all of your microupgrades are gone lol
  16. tony990_Superstar

If we lost in 1v4, do we deserve more crystals?

Losing team should get more crystals anyway...not as much as the winning team but it seems ridiculous that someone with 1,000 points in a battle gets 100 crystals. That's why there are so many one-sided battles that are like yours, 6v3. Nobody wants to play on the losing team, all it means is you get less crystals. That's why if your team is losing people are going to quit and go to a winning battle. To be honest, I would too. It's a good strategy.

Episode 99 of the V-LOG is here

lol they seem so enthusiastic about getting rid of all the protection in the paints from everybody...yes now even Generalissimos lost all of their protection...They might have an M3 paint but now they have M0 protection, making the paints essentially useless. Might as well go back to using green paint now...by the way 2 days left before I quit.
  18. tony990_Superstar

    Paint Separation Update

Yeah it would be childish to quit immediately...need to give them a few days to reverse it before I leave.

If this update isn't fixed in 3 days I'm quitting Tanki lol

    Paint Separation Update

Basically just making it so you have to buy your paint over again and now you have an M0 paint...also Premium Paint is now essentially useless.

    European Football Leagues

Chelsea definitely has a shot at Champions League but they need better chemistry. They have a great team but are terrible when it comes to putting their heads together. Man City will have Kompany back this year so they have a good chance of winning the title, but I don't see them finishing above Man United.

    European Football Leagues

True. I don't think Tottenham have much of a chance though. They are terrible starting and ending their seasons. I can see Arsenal or Manchester United winning this year because of all the major signings both teams have made and their already stacked rosters will be huge this year. Manchester United doesn't have much a defense though except for Shaw and Smalling. For them to be good they would need to pick up a defender like Pique or Pepe or Alba or really anyone good. Offense wins games, defense wins championships. Maybe if they somehow got Evra back they would have a better chance of winning.
