  1. We can all pitch in and buy Tanki a new Tee.
  2. Actually for me those last few are very comparable in frequency. But since it's a list, I had to put one over the other. It's the way I see it now. That might change later on. Also may be worthwhile noting I play mainly non-drug battles now. So I'm looking at shafts without DD options ;)

Episode 118 of the V-LOG is here

+1 Raw power wins. R.I.P skill.

^Willie's post mentions the isida/smoky. Isida alteration should allow people who want to play DM's be able to I guess. The self heal will be improved. Smoky deals more damage for less reload (no way, IMO). It's reload and TTK is already struggling against weapons with faster output.

What to buy? Which is better?

    Thunder. Hammer. Viking/Hunter.
  6. Ikr, but this isn't about usefulness. Just my read on frequency (how many players use that weapon on that map).

How much research do you do to get the best out of Tanki?

The most valuable info for me in the wiki is the comparative pricing of equipment :P That and maybe the list of module combinations. For everything else, I like to bank on my in-game experience over numbers. Numbers are so wonky. They screw me up.
  8. When I play different maps. Based on the frequency I see - 1. Serpuhov 2. Rio 3. Noise

    Patch Update #429

It may help if you take a moment to study how your hull is taking the impact. Which direction is it lifting/turning? That's the direction from where the smoky is shooting at you. It's a lot harder (I've tried, but can never tell) vs thunder.
  10. Look on the bright side... they don't even have to "plate" it :P :P :P

    Patch Update #429

I was just wondering why the garage/wiki description still terms smoky as a weapon for long range. The answer is may be this, a little delayed albeit.
  12. Ooooh. Exquisite! They look good enough to eat  :P

    Mid-Fielder's Dream

They may be similar in width, but dictator is longer too.

    Mid-Fielder's Dream

Red side - Blue side - Hammers/shafts/firebirds/rails do well on both sides. Railgun is adept at clearing the beach and lanes. Hornet preferred over hunter/viking for hull rocking (angular aiming).

If you have another weapon to fall back on, then go for it! The only reason I say so is because thunder's parameters are overly sensitive and very very reliant on overall game balance - more so than most other weapons. In a sense, you can say it's unstable. It's like a benchmark assessing every other turret/hull. That's the additional price it pays for being a medium reload, heavy damage, easy aim, across all ranges, multi-kill, no-escaping-it kind of weapon. It's multi-faceted lure is both a blessing and a curse. The "sway" factor is strong. When it's good, A LOT of people are going to be using it. The situation usually spirals in on itself and does not end well.

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

Description in GarageA gun for mid to long-range battles. ^ I think it's time this is corrected to read just plain "mid" range battles.

Show all players' fps and ping

Umm... maybe because first and foremost, the players have to call for a mod's attention? That step can be aided by an idea like this - helps make a clear decision. Just highlighted in color what I think is being overlooked here.
  19. I would like this, to separate the chaff from the wheat, fake from the real. EDIT: If this topic gets merged with another ideas topic, and I am unaware of the transition, all of what I've said above stands nullified in relation to the merged content.

Combat Tactic : Leave and Rejoin

Another perspective I could think of - people doing it with the intention of preventing unbalanced play. Say 6 players actively play against 3. It's a very uphill battle for the losing side. The timer isn't going to go off and they probably don't see the rewards of staying and fighting worth it. So by trolling everyone in the game by joining/leaving, even encouraging their own teammates to leave, they force the timer and trigger either - game end or new balancing.

Update 428 — Parameter tweaks and more

Ikr, it's hard when they do this to your main turrets. I use isida too. Just not on this account is all.
