War is the most powerful force for the advancement of science and technology , i can't find any great achievement in science or technology in the past 70 yrs that was not a direct result of the R&D that happened during WW2. For that to happen two things must occur first , small batteries with big storage capacity and cheap energy. Scientists are having a hard time reducing battery size ,charge time and there sizes are not going to be reduced as Long as we don't have a major war ,since reducing the size of batteries would require massive Capital investments, something that is not available to the private sector in peace time. as for cheap Energy , well we will have to wait for space solar stations and wireless electricity to reach that point. No , motorcycles are dangerous enough , hover-boards look even more dangerous!

11 yrs ago , i took my father jeep and went to the desert with my friends for 1 day trip , i wanted To simulate rally driving so i drove the car like crazy between mountains and the car was actually Flying like this one Then i drove in a very steep slope and the car rolled over 3 times , i will never forget how time stopped while The car was rolling in the air , after the car stopped rolling the front wind shield was cracked but not shattered. The car was damaged from many sides , it broke down. The car was still rolled over on the driver side so i was facing the ground and 3 of my friend where stuck in There seat belts , i looked to check if they where ok and every one was ok ... but the story didn't stop there After i made sure that every one was alright and we where still stuck in the car alone in the desert i joking told My friends that i smell gas and the car is about to explode , my friend who was sitting next to the driver seat Panicked after hearing this took his seat belt of pushed the front wind shield with his legs and broke it and jumped Out of the car running leaving us all stuck in there and he didn't stop until he ran out of breath :lol:. Me and my other 2 friends were still stuck and laughing in the car so we picked ourselves up and went outside The car to collect our panicked friend and calm him down. now was time to figure out how to get out of the desert And back to civilization to get a towing car and a mechanic there were no cell reception in the desert and we where At least 12 miles away from the nearest phone booth!. What happened next is a story for another time ... any way i always wonder how i came out in one piece from my teenage Years. Teenagers == Madness!

On personal level yes spying on your neighbors for example is immoral ,unethical and unacceptable, but spying here in the Context of sun tzu quote is knowing the structure of the enemy army , it's dispositions , the state of the enemy Economy.... etc. that is the type of spying he means. Sun tzu as i said earlier

The context of the quote is, countries leaders should keep an on eye on there enemies by collecting as much Knowledge about the enemy as possible, since knowledge is power and this knowledge will come handy In time.
