Both are nice thunder is easier to use + splash damage is awesome + its versatile can be used on almost any map. I think you are good on turret and hull you should save for M4 thunder+viking after that think about buying other m3's

Get thunder and start MU'ing it b'cos M4 rocks :P. Both are good get rail you can play format battles or if you don't want to play xp get thunder.
