I haven't had this problem, but I have noticed that I lag more since the update. It's my fps that's down.

50% would be nice, since we haven't had a sale since.....can't remember. Whoever wants a one hour 50% sale on a selected turret on valentines, please 2nd my post.

Does the sale on credit cards include prepaid visa gift cards?

How about a supply that equips you with all supplies, even health. Do to its power, it would drop about 1/4th as much as regular supplies.- 2,764 replies

What makes you Mad in Tanki? Things you hate/like in the game?
chiddychiddy replied to Ditzy-Dip in Archive
I hate that gold drops at so many different locations. Can't find the bloody thing till I see the words- random noob has gotten lucky and taken the gold that nobody else even found. -
Smokey + Titan rules noise. Viking + Rico is versatile and usually wins in a one on one. Fire + wasp on large maps with railgunners can be very affective. Isaida + viking is great for taking flags on small maps. Viking + thunder is great for mid range CP maps.

Can you post the notice on the home page of tanki?

Fire is better for CP than Thunder

Lol, too true, I can destroy most hammers with my m3 thunder now, even at close range provided i can dodge behind something.
-
I generally play with people my own rank (=m2 Vulcan't not m3......lol). And yes there are a few m0s, and I can tell the difference between them and m2s and m3s. Quite a few people have already bought a higher tier vulcan't (they must have more crystals than you). And yes, it's still under powered. The only situation it can survive is when its enemy is in the open, unless it burns up in the process of killing a mammoth. It's simply under powered. It needs a touch more dps and impact, but the devs are playing it safe for now.
-
I plan on upgrading thunder, but its not my dream turret. I will keep upgrading it and m3 viking once i get it though.
-
The real dilemma starts when you shoot a moving tank at a different elevation than yourself. Try to lead, and it won't adjust for height. Shoot dead on, and it flies behind. Most rico users miss half of their targets most of the time, and a few rico users hit most of their targets most of the time. Rico is hard to aim, but causes damage fast. I once saw a hornet/rico dominate noise. There was no place to hide.

I understand your pain. Vulcan't sucks. I use thunder, and my brother and I laugh every time Vulcan't shoots at me. It's kind of a joke. The only time I actually feel under attack is when vulcan't uses double damage. Long live twins, because vulcan't will be the one to die. I actually wanted this gun when it first came out on test. Truth is, I love the way it works, but I don't enjoy being destroyed by rail at long range and thunder or rico or anything at mid. The burning damage is the icing on the rotten cake. It comes so soon that, if your lucky, you'll get one kill befor you die; D/L = 1 , what happened to being awesome. The one thing that keeps me sane is the fact that the devs usually address these issues, albeit somewhat slowly. I will buy it m3 if that day comes, but until then, I'm laughing.

I think I will go for the viking/hammer kit, but I still need to work through half a rank. Does anyone know how long it will be available?
-
True, my team rarely wins on the bottom (blue), partly because I never meet tanks at an appropriate standoff. And thunderousrailgunner, thanks for the map assessment. I agree I can still make thunder do its thing (I have it about half way MUed on damage), but when my team hangs back (doesn't go for flags), I keep attacking with drugs, only to get too close to isaida or something and die. When in this situation, I need a close to mid range turret. I can't settle on twins or fire or freeze or rico, but I am leaning towards fire and rico. Only problem being my rank- Major General I believe it is- denoted by two stars. I am planning on using viking, so its just the turret I'm not sure about. They really did a good job of balancing the power (except on Vulcan-kinda weak).

I currently have m3 thunder and m2 viking. It works ok on noise, my favorite map, but is losing its edge against many other hull/turret combos. I usually have to use double damage to get to the top of the battle. My question is, what is the best all around m3+ for mid to short range?
-
Draw backs: less accurate than rail or shaft at long range. To slow and awkward at short range takes too little life to beat thunder at mid range. Vulnerable to pop out shooters, and too slow to react. Self distructs whenever fighting large tanks. All in all, in every situation, there is a turret that will beat it no matter what. Underpowered.
-
Once Vulcan is out on the general servers, will they still tweak it? The reason I ask is because it is not quite as deadly as other turrets, and I want the best turret I am high enough ranked for. If it can compete on most maps with turrets like smokey and rail I will get it, but as is, these turrets usually win.
-
I tried Vulcan on stadium, and found it hard to hold my own against mammoth and shaft or smoky and anything. It's too hard to hold on targets far away. I actually did quite well on noise, but it required some anticipation of tank movement. It may seem like a long range gun, but it works better ate medium. It is almost impossible to stay on target at very close or very long distances. Rail is better.

Vulcan overheats too easily now. It's impact is too low for a MACHINE GUN! Gyro is great though. Turning speed is a bit slow-sluggish on the get go. Visuals need some work because it looks kind of thin. Burning is DEFINETLY too quick though. It's NOT cool for the user, and is more of a game ruiner than a feature to be mastered (like spin up).
-
Ok, I went back to the test server and tried Vulcan. The impact force is still too low-Reason: can't throw shaft mammoth off target and can't flip myself off my side. Damage per second is ok but nothing to get exited about. Time till heat-up is too short-Reason: almost always start burning befor destroying one tank (who likes to constantly destroy themselves). Spin up is good-Reason: adds character and allows other perameters to be better, like impact, DPS, and heat up. Turning speed is too slow-Reason: its just not a long range gun (too hard to be accurate): its also not a short range gun because it turns to slow. Speed up turning but make it crisp so quick taps of the arrow key will make small but sharp adjustments at short and long range. As is, its turning is sluggish until it gets going=awkward. Gyro is ok so long as the turning speed is increased, so driving while shooting is possible. It was just so fun when it first came out; I can't quite nail down what's missing.

M3 dictator is so tough and yet, still fast. Although it is not to popular (this is changing though), besides its awkward size, it is the best m3 in regards to performance. Viking should be a little tougher to match it.
