As a former Mod, I know Tanki requires irrefutable proof, and screen shots with your description for action to be taken. Sadly lots of wankers exist in this game, and it takes time for Tanki folks to build a case sufficient to permanently block. That remains a frustration to me. I contend they ought to be quicker with the ultimate game punishment, but it's their show, and they gentle to build the members IMO. (I attempted posting this in my last night, but "bad gateway" kept showing, hence I'm somewhat late on this thread but no less opinionated.) It feels peculiar to be absolutely in line with the Magic Monkey, but I am with no regrets. :lol: When you're right, you're right. It is the impotence of the Mods, the failure of Admin to seriously sanction violators and entrust those whom they employ as mods that exacerbates the many problems, not just the "mults." Another example to consider with no intent to muddy the waters. Lobby chat remains rife with profanities and vulgarities. I see warnings and bans for flooding while the chat is rife with scat and profane screeds that seemingly never get warnings or bans. I loath it. It's primary to why I served as a Mod for the time I did. Tanki says they care about a "friendly," specifically a kid friendly environment, but deeds, not words apply. Talk is cheap. Mods have literally no authority. It may seem that they do, bu for effective control of the game in chat and play, it's pathetically minimal, generally impotent. They're burdened by screen shot requirements, double and triple posting of any bans over an hour and busy work that further reduces their abilities and time-on-task to actually moderate the chat and matches. If one cannot apply the PC proggies to make the work more efficient (MAC folks like me), it is double and triple the work. Discuss or argue the issue, and the response you'll see that I got is, "It's business." Well, frustrate Tankers enough, raise concerns with parental units and fail to uphold and entrust the work assigned to Mods, and "business" will suffer. Tanki, you're a year past the originally announced 2.0 application. That's fine in my view. It must be challenging. However, you're ignoring the integrity issues in the game, and that can be lethal. I've never understood why "mults" are even permitted. The primary reason for those is to enable wankers who consistently violate rules to still have a way to play and chat. It's foolish for any culture to not only permit and enable but to actually encourage its "criminals" to apply options that allow them to continue violations. That, my friends, is the way of madness, and it will bear bitter fruit. You're reading some of it here, if you're reading. Consider. Tanki isn't the only show in town, and frustrations of these sorts surely sends folks searching.

Clear, concise, comprehensive and targeted at serious problems with greater sweep than merely mults. Further, MM offers solutions which ought, certainly, to be within the skill and reach of the Devs. When i was a Mod these frustrations ground like a gear wanting lube. We partially disagree, but I respect the manner with which you advance your position. One last note urges me to urge all. I like what I'm reading from Snyper and Lt. Me. They're doing something quite foreign to many. They're reasoning. Many to most are talking like roosters. Lots of cocka-doodle-doing about how great they are or how their strategy reigns supreme when, in reality, they let their character flaws and/or amorality leak all over the tarmac. Bullys, for example, are flawed characters in any place, on any "playground." The devs ought to heed any such discussion. Any issue frustrating any articulate player merits review, consideration. Do you think Tanki doesn't err and correct? Hogwash! If you bought Rico, Freeze, Thunder and/or Shaft when new, you saw them get adjustment, allegedly in favor of "balance." Balance equates to fair play. Drugs are clearly a part of the game, but the ethos of their use, the character of the druggers and their tactics relate, also, to "fair play," and Tanki's failing miserably at "balancing" this aspect as regards fair play. Try not to read me wrongly. I like the game else I'd not play it. It's expanding despite the fraudulent claim of five million players. Considering the numerous multiple account holders, that's plainly false. But, and I emphasize the but, the growth will be proportional to how Tankers perceive the game to orient toward fair play. That may be the most difficult "design" concept of all, greater, even, than the oft delayed 2.0 transition. Having been a Mod, I became acquainted with several of the Tanki staff and creators. I admire and respect most of them, and I believe they have good motives including profit motives. Being a free enterpriser, I hold no truck with that. But, that perception of fair play is highly critical to every player regardless of age. Younger players wail in generalities; older players articulate more clearly, but all players perceiving unfair game play hold the same thought at heart. It jus' ain' r'at! Always be cautious when you write. What and who you are will "leak," same as one's deportment in the game and chat, and you might wish it hadn't. Har! Play well; play fairly. First, there aren't 4 million players. There are 4+ million accounts. Do you know how many make multiple accounts for various duplicitous reasons? Their number is legion. There exist many reasons to be dissatisfied with much in life, the world. Until you've created something Like Tanki, you might be more gracious with your criticisms. After all, the game remains free. I'd do well to let this thread pass me by, but the prod is too strong. "Hatred?" Who gives a flip?!? The premise of Tanki is destruction of opponents for gain. That's hardly a place for love to blossom. More importantly, why care a smidgen, a skosh, a tidbit or a dribble about what someone you've likely never met nor ever will "thinks or feels" about you? I know many Tankers are young hence impressionable about the opinions of others. That's unfortunate, and, I pray as you mature, you'll outgrow this proclivity. Go to a mirror. Look. Do you respect and like what you see? That's the ONLY opinion that matters, and, if you don't like what you see, start. It's where you'll live and with whom you'll live for the span of your life.
