I think my biggest issue was this. As I sit looking for something to play, or a friend to invite into a Battle Group, when I see their name as active at that moment, it didn't tell me if they were in a Battle in advance. If I was inviting them to MY Battle Group, or even to invite them into a Custom-made My Choice map, I'd see their name, the server, but nothing else. Then I'd keep getting a message that they were already in a battle - well gosh darn it - why couldn't that have been in the FRIENDS box in the first place?!? That's about it for my suggestion. If someone is in a MM-Battle, then show it. Doesn't need to identify the map or server - just that I cannot contact them at that moment, but then I'd also know when they are free. Sure, driving around blowing stuff up is fun, but it is the people and friends we have that is more fun for me. And especially when I know how they play, I can trust that they got my back, makes for better games (IE winning lol). ~ Luscious Limmy.

And even though a large contingent are in Asia area and far ahead of you in timezone, there are also many others in North America. ($$$) PAY & MONEY ($$$) So someone asked me recently on the above topic... saying "Why don't grown ups want to talk about money?". I thought I might as well throw up some information for people. It may be a little jaded or one-sided. But life is about taking in multiple points of view, thinking about it, and creating your own view on life. It is your life, not mine. Make it your own, and do what makes you happy... So -- Why don't grown ups want to talk about money? It's private. Typically when you sign an employment contract with a company, they specifically write in a clause that says this is confidential, IE not to be shared with anyone. It is meant to be a personal thing, and IMO, so that a company doesn't have to fight about consistency and comparability between employees. WHY IS THIS? Let's say two people start the same day, same position. They may both make $30K a year salary. However, maybe 1 person makes $33K. Maybe it is because they are a boy vs girl? Maybe it is because they or their parents know someone at the company? Maybe it is because they went to a more recognized school, or got an MBA versus BA? Maybe they are just a better negotiator? Or maybe they lied about a payscale at a prior employer... Maybe - maybe - maybe... You could argue that it isn't fair, in your opinion. But it isn't your choice what they pay others. But the point is - they are actually hired to do the exact same job. If we kept it private and confidential, you would never know. But now, wouldn't you be upset to learn the person beside you is making 10% more than you? You were originally happy when you got your first job! You were excited to tell your parents and friends you were making $30K!! Now, with nothing else happening except information, you are pissed off that someone is making more than you... Sometimes comparing ourselves to others does not achieve happiness. It "could" be that the other persons' school or background or experience "may" benefit the company in the long run, thus being of a overall higher value than you? Or maybe you will end up being better in 1 or 2 years - the unknown factor to the company. The company needs to bring in people and have them work to get things done. From a company's point of view, trying to keep everyone happy is trying to make sure they can't compare compensation! Starting into a tangent, there is right, and there is wrong - but then there are 50+ shades of acceptable reality in between. I can believe the sky is white, and you can believe it is black. We can both be correct in our own opinions. But in the end, it doesn't matter what we think - only what our boss thinks. Because "they" will be the one to decide our Salary Increase at Year End, or Bonus, or Promotion. Or right now it is your teacher that holds all your report cards, or your parents with food, shelter and money. There will ALWAYS be someone that can tell you what to do. Get used to that fact. ....And also know that LIFE ISN'T FAIR. No need to start complaining and be a victim. Accept the reality, focus on what is in your control, and only worry about how YOU can do something better. In the end, you will find that you can reshape the reality around you (think about movies - The Matrix -or- Divergent), and doing something about your life (other than complaining) will help to create you as a leader. [As something I try to focus on, all we want to do is what makes us happy. Surrounding ourselves with people that make us happy. People that are challenging us to be better. But it is a matter of personal choice. And things change. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but always for the right reasons. We may just not understand them now, or for many many years.... Fate can be strange that way.] 80-20 rule applies always. 80% of the ppl will do as they are told and complain. 20% of the people will make the world a better place, and become leaders in their own regards. We don't have to be bad or mean to achieve greatness, and don't have to make a lot of money either. The school janitor can be a leader, with the right attitude. Also helps you be happy when you feel in control. There is some truth in the above, and there are some things that you probably won't have to worry about for 10 or 20 or 30 years. But I'm sure if you keep this note handy, you WILL at some point in your lifetime, realize - wow - that Luscious Limmy guy sure had his stuff together and knew what the heck was going to happen!! As an aside, growing up may sound daunting, but it isn't too hard. It will happen naturally, and you will look back to your current days fondly. Know that nothing is hard - you just need to actually get into it and do it. School and university will teach you more than you actually need to know. The main outcome is the ability to learn and think on your own. At work, you can't always ask someone what to do, especially as you grow into managerial roles. You need to make it up as you go along, try to figure out how to do it better next time. Listen to the people around you complaining every day, then look for solutions on how to help them. But at the same time, realize that the wheel doesn't need to be invented every day - so need to get to know lots of people around the company, other thinkers and do-ers, and collaborate on bigger problems and solutions. That is just my interpretation. Not every role, or person will be the same. Work and life combines technical knowledge, interpersonal skills, initiative and creativity. It worked for me. Hey brothers & sisters!!! I haven't been posting here much lately, trying to hold back. But it's been a while, and I just have the need now and then. RE @Tofu's post, I had a Grade11 science teacher that would throw surprise quizzes on us. There were some complainers in the class - waw, that isn't fair they would say. His retort - "Life isn't fair, why should I be". I might have complained along with everyone the first time, but then u just need to learn to suck it up and go with the flow. It's a game, and it should be fun, and not need so many rules and fairness. When it starts and everyone (or most ppl) agree to GO/RO, then it is GAME ON. And for the next 10 or 15 minutes, or 5 or 7 flags, forget about the excuses (#NoExcuses), just play with everything you got, that you can control (#10In10Out). Life lesson, if you haven't already figured it out, life isn't fair. The sporty kid cheating off your test never gets caught and aces the exam (somehow beating you by 1 question?!?). The stupid whiny guy with the nice hair gets the promotion before you do. You make a company great with 110% for 15 years, and then you get fired. Fugget about it!!! Focus on what you can do to be better, focus on what you enjoy, make the most out of the situation you are dealt. - - - Once the game is done - THEN you can focus in a training scenario to rebalance the teams, talk about what could have been done differently. Stop and go is just really annoying (at least to me, sorry to those that enjoy it)... RE 's post, I used to have a K/D of 1.50+. Then it quickly went into the 1.30's for a long time. Now I'm down to 1.21. Lately, if I can get par (1.00 K/D), I'm happy. Why? Self-damage (before getting my Alteration - yay!), playing above my level (bigger crystal buckets!), taking the Isida to help out the team, or just being an aggressive annoying little tanker that needs to jump in the middle of a scrum and firing like crazy twins until I die... I have a hard time holding back, probably why I suck at xp/bp too! But all types are needed in a team. I'm the never-give-up-fighter-pain-in-the-butt type of person... K/D or not in Parkour - who wants to miss out on real crystals and experience!!??!! I don't. And for any numb-nuts (am I allowed to say that in Forum?) posting crap on our wall. Ignore..., like FlabbyAbs (and countless others have) said. It just creates more spam. Thx Ex ... sry for not coming to training, I was doing some earlier training with the guys, but had to run, then I thought I'm just gonna pull in some experience and rank in our training, but then it was this HUGE Gissimo/Legend battle (and little old me), that I was winning for a while, with the help of a buddy and his M3 Isida, and we were originally like 200CP behind, came up and tied, got a lead of about 100, lost the lead and then it was neck and neck - over / under / over / under. ^^ Sliced / ESM - I think what BD30 is saying ... is that he felt it was getting to be too much. The back and forth banter is best used in Skype. Of which there can be thousands of posts per day. Truthfully. Painful at times. And I won't get into exactly how loose BD30 is, but he is perfectly normal (or painfully excessive) in Skype. And I appreciate his effort here to post the request to pull back some. If you are looking to join the Clan, probably a good recommendation to play in the sandbox of today ... not what it used to be.
