I think some of the problem is the names are too similar PP...Pro Pass. PP... Premium Pass. Plus one os part of the other butnot the other way arounbd. Like many things Tanki;s system is confusing. I thnk this system is ... cumbersome. A bit of a jury-rig. But there are some parts made better. In 4-5 months before I found 1 exactly 1 drug free game. Since the change I have played in at least a dozen. I also like the way the Basic games fill up the sides. So there is some benefit. My guess is almost everyone will want a pass but that they will still play some Pro games and some Basic games. But in that case the cost of the PRO Pass should be cut even more.,

Yep. Very hard to find a specific map at times - compared to the old system. And as I just found out, one drugger can ruin the one available map if you manage to get in. (Sandbox) I can match the guy drug for drug now....I never use as many as I earn so the piles just keep growing. But why? Those battles are no fun, just someone a lot of drugs ...a repair kit every time the cooldown time goes off .. in a 4 way Sandbox CP I'm sup[posed to use up 20-30 Repair kits just to match this drugger? Just because he's in the fame and there's no other open Sandbox map on any EN server? Nope, not even a mission is worth no fun. I'll find the map open another time. So Tanki, imagine how many people are really really really angry over this.

I think with a further halving of the PRO Passes then everyone can be happy. Plus throw in some extra days worth of pass extensions via mission rewards maybe. The high-altitude view of this change is Tanki has sorted out two categories of games. BOTH categories can be useful to all players. PRO Games: Variety and dull grinding but a lot of game detail to sort through to find one for you. BASIC Games: Yeah you have to put up with drugs but you can find games on different maps and with sufficient nukber of players.\\ It's starting to make sense to me, but it makes more sense with lower cost for the PRO Pass. Step in the right direction fer sher.

As a newer Vulcan user was ust wondering what the reaction is here. Doesn't seem to be one. First few games I did not notice much diferrnce. Next few games I did. The damage hit is pretty significant. And the shorter heat time is too. As a Wasp driver I do not put a rock on the spacebar. Wasp/Vulcan was still fun to play though so that's the bottom line.
-
For people who absolutely do not change one thing about their tactics yep.
-
To have the 'feel' of a real minigun it should deplete its ammo very very quickly followed by a long re-load time. But that ain't fun in fast-paceed tank-on-tank action. :) So we got over-heating. Which is very machine-gun like too ...that is why mini-guns exist now that I think about it. The 6-7 barrels spread the heat out so higher firing rates ar possible. Everyone readin is alseep now. Zzz

Ahhh maybe you are confiusing the Premium Pass (real money) with the PRO PAss (Crystals money)?? The Premium Pass gives yo the PRO Pass in a package deal but not the other way around. So you can do the PRO section for Crystals only. It is a bit of a cost but --- my way of looking at it is like this. Tanki has a lot of built-in weird policies. THis Pro Pass idea might be the best we are going to get. And if that costs a few Cry / month ... well it is worth trying it. I have more thn one account. So I will have at least one with the PRO Pass and at lest one w/o it ... we'll see.

Well there's the reason for the difference we see. You play a lot on Poly CP and I almost never do. What works on one map does not on another. Now I do recall playing Wasp/Vulcan on a Poly CTF and that was OK. Ppl are more spread out in CTF. I have to avoid over-heating due to the light hull - unless it is a high-value target. Or unless I am low on health and might as well go out shooting. So instead I fire, retrat behind cover, pop out th eother side of the building, fire, the drive acordss the map open fire from a different angle. Then you circle around and get the drop on the ppl looking at your first location ... PPl hate vulcans a lot so yo can cause a lot of wasted movement by the enemy team even if you are not scoring kills in your first burst. Hard to describe but it's fun when you get the ball rolling right. :) Vulcan/Wasp is a differen play style. You have to avoid aimin while driving and drive to aim... it is definitly differnet han Smoky where firing accurately on the move is a must.

No I just meant I have in the past let my annoyance close my ears for a time. It's human nature. Sounds to me that some of your concerns go away if you buy a PRO Pass and swicth between PRO games and Basic games. I agree the PRO Pass costs Cry but if spending them makes the game more enjoyable then that is reason enough. But if you don't want to try that then you don't want to try that.
-
Smoky goes well with only one type of hull ... one with Hit Points remaining.
-
Some 5,000 smoking tank hulls say you are wrong about hit-and-run Vulcan/Wasp tanks. :D I've played several more games now. The reduction in power is indeed noticable. I can't say Vulcan is no longer competitive. But it has had a few teeth pulled. We'll see how this goes. . .

I think they are bad ideas from top to bottom. Bad Isida players stick to the ass of a tank and spam the heal button. Good Isida play requires standing off so the shooting tank can bob and weave without running into the god damn Isida. Yoyr ideas convert Isida from a healer into just another kilkillkill turret. 2 thumbs down.

BlackWasp I love you man and I respect your hobby of breakinb down games. It's my hobby too. But at this point isn't it clear the Devs are going in a different direction from self-healing? The Devs are not going to returjn big self-healing unless the data show Isidas are gettijng spanked and thus unplayed. But that isn't happening. Today 25 kills then 41 kills in 15 minute DM Basic Battle Button Battles. Yeah, i have a quality advantage over many players my rank. But helpless? I see Isida them all the time and they are doing fine. You have a steep uphill climb ahead of you.

So you are pissed off no matter what options you are given. Youy complain about druggers but belittle a chance that allows you to avoid drugging entirely. Devs hear this sort of stuff and just figure they can't win no matter what they do. So they do what they were going to do anyway. Oh well, I've been wher you are too annoyance wise. Well, since you asked.... no. I do not consider crating battles to be a fundamental feature. I would create maybe 2 battle per month. Always Farm CTF for my Titan account if it was taking me too long to complete CTF missions normally. That's it. I got tired of creating battles, waiting 2 minutes, then leaving because no one else joined. So I for one hardly ever create battles PRO Pass or noi. Nope. That does not seem claer to me in the slightest. What seems clear to me is TA NKI is trying to create two large groups of games. PRO game and Basic games. That's what is we are now seeing in place. Basic games: Fewer games at any one time - but with more players per game and more games that play out to a normal finish. Very few of the slaughterhouse games! More maps in actual play despite fewer total games. PRO Battles: many more games much more variety of game parameters but ironically a choice of fewer maps. Here all the slaughterhouse games will collect. Since yo can earn more Cry / hour on a slaughterhouse the PRO Pass can in fact pay for itself. We will never see the Create Button for Basic maps again. The reason is to keep all those small fragmentary games in the PRO section so the Basic section remains a place for fewer but larger games. The Battle button will not work if there are 50 tiny 1:1 or 2:2 games out there. So give it up... Create is for PRO Passes frok now on. No, the number of parmeters has not changed. All that has changed is vastly more players actually had PRO passes. The PRO section will always have more gamaes available and those games will tend to be smaller ... that is the design goal IMO not a flaw! In my experience on my Major account I also started having to drug more in the LT ranks. I think that is more an aspect of the eqiuipment syste,m than the battle choices. You can still oook for battles with th rank you want and try different servers. They should have a search function thjough ... and maybe one day they will.
-
Sorry but this is wrong. I am a daily mission payer. I play my daily missions for each account and little if any more. That means two things: I make a LOT Of Crystals per minute played compared to people who pay longer. I earn roughly 10,000 / week / account pretty regularly playing almost nothing but daily missions. I don't think this PRO Pass approach is the 100% best approach but it is worth giving a chance. I do think Tanki will have to further reduce the price too.
-
More impressions so far. Players without PRO Passes are 100% definitely no-question going to have a hard er time completing specific map missions and finish in 1st place missions. In the case of the 1st place missions maybe it is not so bad that they require an actual 1st place finish. But they are not going to be easy to complete for many players. Here buying a PRO pass does help because there are many many more small games available. In the case of map specific missions the Battle button is not working as we were told. We were told the Battle button wold create games on certain maps if you had a mission on that map. We were told the Battle button would not put you into a game with less than 10 minutes remaining. I tested these and they failed. I found a server with only one open CTF game in my rank. I had a map mission open. I waited until the game was under 10 minutes and clicked Battle. There were no games open with more than 10 minutes left so a new game on my map should have been created. It was not. I was sent to the map with about 9:30 left in the game. I could not try again because the above onditions no longer existed. Anyway, it is clear that many players will be left high and dry on their map missions and they will not be happy. Next Impression The PRO battles are now the place to find all the Poly, Island, Sandbox, and other snoozefest slaughterhouse games. Ironically the basic games are now where you find the best games. The Battle button uses more maps and games tend to fill up.To tell the truth if I just want to play a game the Battle button has done pretty well producing good games. OTOH you can find no-drug games in the PRO section. These games are definitley different and worth playing. So it looks like in the long run most every plqayer might want to buy a PRO Pass - but not to use the PRO Pass all the time. That being the case I think Tanki satisfies everyone by further reducing the PRO Pass by another 50% across the board. 2,500 Cry / month for the top level, Legend? That's a compromise we cann all live with I think.

Did you see that guy's expression when he said the Isida nerf had to happen? Massive self-healing is not going to come back. It is not going to come back for the same reason you want it to come back. Both he and you know that is a VERY POOWERFUL effect. Too powerful. You the player want too powerful. He the game designer does not. Designers are the ones who get to dessign. Clearly they are going to compensate Isida by a different method ...ie more damage. Which directly addresses complaint that Isidas are underpowered in DM. Wolverine made a post which I hope I get the numbers riught. The post was Freeze and Foire does something like 17% more DPS than Isida. This change adds 4% of that back. Added to that is the 10% the Isida heals back. 10% is not 0%. So we are talking about a rough 3% difference in damage utput in a simple head to head. 3% All this angst over 3%. 3% does not mean Isidas are utterly helpless in DM battles or otherwide\d ruined. And that 3% buys so much utility in the 3 other formats. Can we put this claim of helplessness to rest at last?
-
Devs would never program stuff that way IMO.
-
More PRO battles but looks like fewer players / battle on average. Total number of players on each side is more important than total number of battles. Still need to wait for the numbers to settle down but things will not be the same thats for sure.
-
Then buy a pass. What you are telling us is this: I would find extra value from having a Pass because I like those maps. Therefore the Pass is not worth buying. It's not a big cost. AT this point the devs deserve giving the changes a chance.
-
The Premium Pass does not give "buyers" any performance advantage, and is really quite cheap. In the real world game companie must make money. This system is far far far fairer than in many other game.
-
Well, just first impression after the week of free passes. The concern about finding certain maps seems real. What seems even more real is that it will be much harder to "cheat" a 1st-place finish for those Missions. Used to be I could almost always find a game about to end, sneak in and get credit for a 1st place finish. It'd take seconds to complete what is supposed to be a hard Mission. Now the Battle button will fill up the basic games so no more "stealing" without a Pro pass. [i cannot say this is a Bad Thing for the game though] Advantage: Buy-a-Pass Second observation is all the "slaughterhouse/deathchurn" games on Poly, Island, Sandbox etc have moved to the PRO ranks. The basic games actually are showing a variety of more interesting maps! Advantage Basic Maps There really are a lot of TAnki players who like no-drug games. It is not all just talk. Now that there are many PRO passes you can find drug-free games. And that applies to the other options too. Advantage Buy-A-Pass. Bottom Line: Buying a Pass can definitely add to the enjoyment of playing for man players. That's enough to justify the cost. It may also be possible to show that the Crys cost of the pass is re-earned over the month. But that's not certin. It's safe to assume not every player would re-coup the Crys. But either way, the cost of the Pass is very small compared to a month's overall earnings. The cost of the Pass itself is not going to make Tanki more real money income. One way to take that is to say, "No big deal just buy the damn Pass". The otehr way to look at it though is, "Since the Pass is so dang useful, all players should get it as a basic part of the game" I see both sides but honestly am not sure which is the better. It will depend on now man players end up in each group I guess.

Heh was posting much the same thing at the same time. Yes I too fight my Vulcan at very short ranges too but there are days still where my steering muscles refuse to convert from more nrmal ifhgint styles. I reckon you know what I mean. PS: Smoky is not so boring. :p

OK, on the parameter tweaks. After one who day's worth of missions. (IOW after not much.) My Isida/Hornet (both M2_8/50 or so) typical damage tic went up from around 103/207DD to 107.214DD. If forced to live with a bit more damage I will bear the burden. IOW this is a bit of fine tuning no Isida user will dislike. My Wasp (m1_24/50) / Vulcan(m1_17/50) seemed OK in a DM and a CP-based Mission. I honestly did not notice too much difference yet but I did not pay too much. And I play a shoot-and-scoot game that most vulcans do not. So the overheat time will probalby impact my style more than the famage aspect. The bottom line was I finished my daily missions and said, "that was fun". Wasp/Vulcan=fun... so far.

Which is what Healing range should be shorter so damage range can be longer? Healing shuld be less efficient that doing damage, All to return the self-heal. Like hell. What terrible ideas..SMH. Flabbergasted. I just played a game on a Russian server so no talking//// teamwork by instinct and hive-mind onlky.. No drugs AT ALL. Zone map, CTF. I was going nuts keeping my ea, up and shooting. We were all Hornets except on Hunter. The otehr team was wearing us down sowly. Then a couple Defenders jined our side ond one more kick ass hiornet/Isida. We both of us went to town in 20 more minutes of the most inteste battle, slowly tunred th tide. AWESOME game, Tanki at its best. But nooooooooo. "Healng is boring." [eyeroll] Fine. That;'s your opinion. then do not use the turret that heals. Simnple.
