I don't I think disagree with him much about tanks, even though a lot of the hull & turret combinations in TO aren't tanks in the type-of-ACV/AFV sense And it's not really about tracks; if the technology existed to make main battle tanks / MBTs hover, there would be hovering tanks But none of this is really relevant to TO, so for Magnum the controversy is about indirect fire turrets instead of telling people that Magnum (in its original form) is a self-propelled artillery piece instead of a tank And with Hopper it's about being able to jump over the obstacles / terrain that every other hull has to navigate (and stunning & burning) instead of whether it's "tank" enough At the moment I'm just looking forward to blasting the little blighters out of the sky (with Smoky), but its OD does look OP

@GrayWolf8733 Always funny when players complain about the "nooby hunter od" in the chat, especially when those players are using repair kits whenever their tank gets scratched
-
I think Amber is an average paint too (I've got several Shop Paints, but I don't like most of them), but that doesn't mean he's won (I'm still ignoring challenges because the rewards aren't worth the XP increase)

I want Hummingbird to spin like a jellyfish in a bubble ring when I hit it mid-air with Assault Rounds

Uncommon is fine for me when I get 10 000 crystals or 5 Gold boxes, but not so fine when I get supplies I'll appreciate the supplies at higher ranks, but I'm not there yet so they don't feel like significant rewards Getting 3 Days Premium would be the worst thing in the world at the moment with the XP boost nonsense - I'd take 3 days off playing and just collect the daily bonuses (10 000 crystals + supplies) But doing that might mean not completing 10 missions in the week I get most of my income from missions and containers and weekly containers (but I'm saving those for higher ranks) instead of battle funds, so the crystals / XP ratio doesn't matter to me that much - 8 x XP with 12 x crystals would still suck
-
When I used to keep a spreadsheet for containers (I still record all of my rewards, but haven't updated it for while), my chances of getting an Uncommon one was about 25%, which means you would have to be extremely unlucky to get only Common containers in a 15 container opening I open all of my containers one by one and I think the worst run of Commons I've ever had is 8 My chance of getting a Rare container was slightly over 10%, and that is still the same - for my last 70 containers, 8 of them were Rare (11.43%) For an 11.1% chance, if you open 45 containers you would expect to get 5 Rare ones So if you were to open 3 lots of 15 containers, you might get 2 Rare ones in the first opening, 2 in the second, and 1 in the third But you could get 4 in one of the openings, 1 in another, and none in another Or less than 5 or more than 5 I don't know much about probability distribution, so I don't know how variable the distribution of a 11.1% chance will be, but for Epic containers (less than 5% for me) and rarer it can vary a lot - I got two Epic containers in a row once But this thing about 1 v 5 v 15 containers changing the probabilities has no basis, anyone who thinks opening 15 containers is better because they get 2 Rare containers and 1 Epic container nearly every time isn't describing unusual results

What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?
SporkZilla replied to Maf in Game Discussion
One of my accounts has earned nearly 4000 xp from doing 4 missions I've managed to avoid earning more than 5000 xp per week from doing 10 missions since this stupid xp boost started, but going to struggle this week -
Just finished a Juggernaut battle where the 1st place player (a First Lieutenant) on the winning team got 36 kills, that's nearly 3000 XP ?

You keep asking this question, but you're not going to get a clear answer I don't think there will any discounts on crystal kits because a) they weren't any during the last 50% sales and b) the price of crystals kits is already very low if you don't already have anything from a lower Mk Expect this thread to be closed like the previous ones, and possibly a warning if you create another one
-
The forum is a bit quiet at the moment I really liked your entry, was going to do something similar, but then I realised I wasn't very good at making paper tanks and I would never have enough time
-
If it's for the account in your profile (Mk5 Shaft, Mk1 Titan, Mk3 Eagle), then it might be cheaper than buying Mk6 Shaft / Titan / Eagle in a 50% sale I just did the maths and I think Mk6 Shaft + Mk2-to-6 Titan + Mk4-to-6 Eagle would cost you 243 500 crystals with 50% off, and you can't buy the Mk6 Eagle module until Major General My take on 50% sales versus kits is buying or upgrading Modules for turrets that I'm never going to use in 50% sales and buying kits if I want another hull and / or turret If you use Shaft often (and Eagle too) and really want Titan, then the kit might be better
-
I don't think there will be additional discounts on product kits If you do the maths for buying everything in a Mk7 product kit when you don't already own any of the equipment (having to buy every Mk), you'll see that the 382K price is a huge saving See this old post about it from me - link
-
You can buy some Mk6 kits for crystals at Lt. Col., but the rest aren't available until Colonel (bit unlucky there) People being to able to buy Mk7 kits at Lt. Col. is the biggest advantage that buyers have at the moment But that might be the plan, moving away from players taking years to reach the highest ranks to players taking months (with the option of buying Mk7 very early) because there's no guarantee that a player starting now would ever make it to the highest ranks under the old system because the game might not be around for that long It's like a university stopping three year courses and specialising in one year courses because they don't have enough financial assets to make long-term commitments to students I might have got to Legend by now (but it's not one of my goals) if I had only had one account, have been playing for nearly 2.5 years (not on this account, but my first account is slightly older) and have earned over 2 million XP across four accounts The boost is messing up the game at lower ranks though, my 400K XP Major account has 6084 GS and I'm often in battles where everyone else has under 4000 GS (and often some with under 2000 GS), and I'm getting top three places in battles without even trying
-
I've opened 44 containers since the 14th of July (all single openings, for the mathematically illiterate) 28 common + 6 uncommon + 5 Rare + 3 Epic Have had a run of 7 commons and the last 5 were common, but too early to confirm a trend towards commons

I don't think it's ugly, but it is old fashioned (but that doesn't bother me) The thing I don't like about the HTML5 garage is having to look at the TO Wiki to see the prices and unlock ranks for things that I can't buy yet One annoying thing about the HTML5 daily mission screen is the way that completed missions disappear when you claim the rewards and uncompleted missions move to the left A couple of times, because of lag, I have clicked on the mission on the left too many times and changed an uncompleted mission and lost crystals
-
You can buy Mk7 kits for crystals at, but that's still a big XP difference I thought the MK system was a good idea in principle, limiting MUs after an unlock rank to 5 steps But converting M1/10s in to Mk6 instead of Mk5/10, and M2/10s in to Mk7 instead of Mk6/10, and 30% modules in to Mk6 instead of Mk5/5 etc. didn't solve the problem of OP equipment at lower ranks And allowing people to buy kits for tankoins at much earlier ranks makes you wonder if they were ever serious about solving that problem in the first place (edit: I don't mind buyers, the game needs buyers, but I think buying should allow people to rank up faster and complete their garage faster instead of get more powerful equipment earlier)

I couldn't play the first HTML5 version because it made me feel sick, but the changes that were made after it was the most common complaint in the feedback thread have fixed that for me (I'm only using Smoky though)
-
I don't understand why the Flash version is being gradually crippled instead of being left alone until its removed, unless it is for technical reasons I switched to playing in the HTML5 version a while ago, but still used the Flash version for everything apart from playing because I prefer it The gradual crippling doesn't bother me that much because I've made the switch, but I still don't see how it will persaude the remaining HTML5 haters to switch It's just annoying them If they really don't want anyone playing the Flash version (assuming it's for technical reasons), then they might as well remove it now (edit: I don't want them to remove it before December)

This is how I spent the summer in Tanki Online
-
It's happening almost every weekend now ?
-
Higher resolution textures and higher polygon models shouldn't be that demanding for lower end PCs, unlike things like dynamic lighting / shadows and shaders etc. On my old laptop I used to get 60 FPS on the Flash version with everything in the graphics tab turned off apart from the skybox and mipmapping
-
Prime is better

Pushing players off the edge of a map will never get boring ?

And I doubt Hornet's OD will get any adjustments by people screaming MURDER HORNET either instead of a more reasonable approach I, like everyone else, have issues with lots of things in TO too, but I think my complaints have always been civil I was anxious about the Flash > HTML5 transition when I found the HTML5 version unplayable, but I've used it almost exclusively for battles since the camera was fixed (I don't like the outlines either and was capable of doing pixel precision shots with Smoky without them, just involved a bit of trial and error, but I think mobile players need them in order to compete with the PC crowd and their huge screens) I just don't think the pop-up achieves much, and might have the effect of just annoying the Flash rebels instead of persuading them to switch before December
