Why TANKI=LIFE So many people say that you get addicted to video games and how video games are bad, and I definitely have had a share of people direct that at me. But you probably want to hear what I have to say about how Tanki=Life. And it's not because I’m addicted to Tanki. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1. Everyone has their own certain build We can’t all be a buyer really strategic person who can beat everyone with any turret/hull combination blindfolded. Just like how you can’t really be a lawyer and a doctor and a contractor and work all three jobs and expect to do the best in all of them. So there are some people who haven’t settled on one turret/hull combo (like my noob account) and it’s ok in M0, but it’s going to hurt once others have M1s and you’re that one guy stuck with a Hornet/Thunder M0 not microupgraded (my noob’s most used fail combo so don’t judge me hornet/thunder fans). Just like life. If you don’t know what you want to be when you’re 10, it doesn’t really matter except that the guy who knows is going to get a headstart. If you seriously can’t find your path in life by the time you’re expected to pay taxes and have a job, you’re going to be poor (stuck working at one fast food joint to the next) or you’re going to have to start your own company. 2. Paints are now for showing off how many crystals you have. Some paints cost a lot but don’t even do anything but cover your tank with a design. Like expensive clothes and things like that. It’s just sad how they can’t lower the prices for the paints. But then again, I wouldn’t buy them. (Only got 3 paints – Idk why I bought white though) 3. Gold Boxes are like Black Friday There’s always that Gold Hunter that pushes me out of the way when I finally find the drop spot of the gold box. Similarly, think of the real fights that occur when people rush for Black Friday sales. At least there’s another chance for the gold soon. 4. DM=Going to University I’ve heard some tales about universities: grade curves, people crying during exams, people going mental, and the like. There are always success stories, but yeah, people tell you the scary ones to help you study up. So anyways, DM is the same. Everyone is there for themselves (except when there’s a group project). Then that’s when people team up against that one annoying drugger in the game. Fun Fact: There’s also no partial credit, so if you don’t kill someone and another tanker gets the kill, he gets all 10 exp, while you get none. 5. TDM/CTF/CP/ASL/RGB (team battles) are the same as getting a job in a company. Thanks to matchmaking, we can’t choose our battles, which means the chances of being against a drugger super talented player increases. Also, your chances of playing with a mult tanker who can’t get a kill without getting killed 10 times. Same in the workplace. I always hear tales about pretty annoying employees who actually get paid a lot to do nothing. There are also people who work 24/7 to fix all the mistakes that the unskilled do or do the lazy guy’s work. That's all I have for now.

My plot had so many holes in it tho.... but still that's nice P.S. Great Job Grand! P.P.S. Now that I have a better idea of the story, I can probably do better. lol my writing teacher would be proud i never won anything before I'll probably not do well as I suck at endings. ^_^ B) -
I'll bet that most people have a love-hate relationship with matchmaking. On one hand, if you are on the winning team, you would like it, but then if you are losing you are eternally cursed for life until you switch battles or rage quit.

So I'll just try my hand at writing. Even though I suck and never won any writing contests before. :D :D :D :D Late night edits before deadline :o :o When you don't read the directions before entering the contest.... Chapter 4: No title yet When Gerald had recovered from the apparent shock, he began to open his mouth, but Alexis quickly stopped him. “Allow me to explain a few things to you, child,” he said while holding back a slight laugh. In the corner, Oswald gave Alexis the signal, and he began to give directions as if he were a proctor reading instructions word for word. With the same cold tone as he had always spoken in, he carried on, “Should you not write the articles, there will be certain consequences...” Zoning out of Alexis’s monotonous drone, Gerald instantly agreed to their demands. Oswald turned around, bearing a slightly shocked expression. “I never thought you were the obedient one, Gerald.” He paused, then continued on. “Well, you always surprise me, like how you jumped at the opportunity for this job. Of course, I must let you work in peace. Let me introduce you to a private workroom.” Signaling for Alexis to leave, he opened a door and led Gerald down the carpeted steps. As they descended, the din of Alexis’s shoes rapidly moving down another flight of stairs distracted Gerald. Is this the decision I have made?, Gerald asked himself. Do i really want to spare my life and my job for worse things to happen to others? Pushing the thoughts aside, he followed Oswald to the cramped room. Looking around, he found a table. Suddenly, Oswald spoke up. “Well, since there’s no chair, you can use this here. It will suit you very well,” he chuckled heartily, pointing to an old Home Depot 5-gallon bucket. Not soon after, Oswald exited the room, leaving Gerald alone in the dark room. As Gerald began to write, no ideas came into his head. Though usually he could crank out an article within an hour, this time, he couldn’t even finish the first sentence he had wrote. Think Gerald think!, he commanded himself, but all he thought of was the old reruns of 80s and 90s action shows he had binge-watched on his friend’s 32-inch TV before he had gotten his job. Those days were so much more simple, he remembered. No troubles to worry about. To make things worse, an annoying draft kept blowing onto his neck, making him lose his train of thought. After ten minutes, the only thing Gerald could think of was the secret passageway in Season 3, Episode 20 of a show, which made him do the weirdest thing. Deciding to at least give it a try, he grabbed the bucket he was sitting on and put it to the wall. Taking his pen, he tapped it on the bucket, and listened to the distinct sounds. After three minutes, he heard a lower pitch then he had heard before. A passageway!, he thought, hoping for success. Pushing at the wall, the hinges creaked, but soon stopped, as if held shut by an intangible force. Sighing deeply, Gerald grumbled and sat down. He was out of ideas and he had given up trying. He still thought there was a way out, but he wasn’t sure where. Trying to concentrate and finish one of the articles, he put his pen to the paper. No words came out. Angrily, he pounded the table with his fist, trying to force an idea to come to mind. A hinge creaked in the distance. Gerald thought that it was in this room. “Oh well, I guess it’s worth a try,” he muttered to himself. Using the same method, he tapped on the other side. Soon, a deep rumble told him that he had reached another entrance. Pushing the random storage boxes out of the way, Gerald wished for a way out. This time, the hinges gave way. Finally!, Gerald rejoiced, There was a way out!. Exploring through the room, Gerald searched for a way out of the house. Looking for an exit desperately, Gerald failed to notice the burly masked man behind him. Unsheathing a dagger from his belt, the man greeted him. “This is the end, Gerald,” the man cackled maniacally. “This is the end,” He laughed once more and thrusted the blade of the dagger towards Gerald so that the tip of the blade grazed his neck. *** As the man led Gerald to a chair, he began to explain the whole situation. "Well, this is awkward." As he unmasked, Gerald clearly saw Alexis looking sheepishly at Gerald. "What can I say? You've tried to do so many assignments under that company, but they've all gone to waste. It's all a shame," Alexis mumbled, looking rather shy. "Anyways, look at me." he instructed Gerald. What weird instructions, Gerald thought. He stared into Alexis's face. "Look more carefully," Alexis directed. Finally, after a few minutes, everything came together. Taking a break from endless staring, Gerald took a glimpse at his surroundings, and saw Kristi in the corner. The three of them looked so alike, it seemed. "Welcome to the family reunion, Gerald," a voice greeted from behind. "I see that you've followed my directions well." Gerald turned to face Oswald. "Wait what?" Gerald exclaimed. Then he fainted. -
Sorry I wrote horoscopes for all the signs. I couldn't resist after 1 :D :D Horoscopes: Aquarius: Join a parkour battle. You’ll be surprised how great your skills are even if you haven’t tried before. Pisces: Stay far, far away from DM if you want to increase your D/L, as everyone will target you. You’ll have a much better time in TDM. Aries: A great time awaits you if you use a melee turret in CTF. You will capture a flag and/or carry the team. Taurus: Take a break from whatever turret you are using and try a sniping weapon. Also, you will feel a strong desire to buy a paint from the Garage/Shop. Gemini: Don’t play a battle on one certain map twice. Cancer: Avoid firebird at all costs. There will be multiple firebirds against you. Or equip a protection module against firebird. Leo: You will catch a gold box and/or earn many crystals. Another thing: Stick with a turret and hull you are familiar with. This time is not the time to try to learn how to use a new turret. Virgo: Join a DM and watch how easily you will soar to the top half of the leaderboard. Libra: You will have enough crystals to buy a few items in the garage, but you can’t decide on which one. Oh well, I can’t help you there. Scorpio: Charge into a DM with a light hull. This might sound stupid, but then there’s a great payoff. Even if it seems bad at first, persist through the full 10 minutes. Sagittarius: Using a Pro Pass, create a battle on an unfamiliar map. If no Pro pass, join a battle on an unfamiliar map. It will be a fun adventure as you explore and try to stay on top of the scoreboard. Capricorn: Go watch a V-Log and enter in the question of the Week.
