Holy moly! Lots of questions I see... ugh, not a great way to start off the day ? Well first off, to clarify the prizes, everyone must send in both screenshots to qualify. Then ten lucky winners and four special winners (two of each special prize) will be chosen. Because it is after the rules changed, you can send in another entry. Battle chat is not mandatory as PRO battles also have chat. I have my ways of finding out if it is a MM battle ? I hope that clarifies it all; I gotta go study for a quiz!

I hate to be a double poster, but I sort of realized there's a bit of an issue with opening up the specials section: 1. Most people don't know what the section is for, so many articles will also be neglected there. (Cases in point: Birthday Issue and Holiday Issue, where the views were about 10-20% of that of the regular newspaper section. Many also could not find results topics to contests that were in the specials section) 2. It does require a lot of maintenance to keep the Specials section up-to-date with many updates articles and special contests. These typically require quite a bit of planning and more reporterpower (*coughs* botpower in my case) as we now have to maintain two sections (the newspaper section and specials section). Back when there were issues, that was not as much of a concern as each month, there would be newspaper issues and between these, we'd have special articles. Now, with the monthly issues removed, we can post specials in the regular newspaper section. 3. Not a huge problem right now, but we may possibly run out of articles to publish if time-relevant articles are published in the specials section, forcing us to create more content per time-frame of cookie distribution. But more doesn't always mean better. Time is needed to create a well-written article. We could run a poll and see if more people want to open up the specials section and then, if the overall result is positive, proceed to make an announcement and revamp the process (and generate more content/reporters and make me Specials Administrator in the process), but that would take a lot more time. That's just an idea I'm throwing out here; please shoot me a PM if you have anything in mind (and do remember to include @kaisdf in this conversation so he can also give you his input). Thanks ?

Haha, yes, both system are very different. I believe the Russian system does get to publishing much earlier than our English system. Currently, they are writing in a monthly issue system with very short articles, so basically, every article should be completed within the month and published. But with the EN paper, we don't do monthly issues, but rather weekly articles. For example, some more important articles might come out earlier (e.g. important guides/reviews/monthly stories), while other articles may take a while to be published. Additionally, editorials, once published every month, are published at the team's discretion. Personally, I have had a few negative experiences with the extreme amount of time it takes to get an article published. It does happen, and unfortunately, the best thing we reporters can do is be patient.
