Did this on the Test Server with Shock Freeze and Wasp's Overdrive. It was hilarious to see their reactions in the chat. Did it to Juggernaut many times as well and each time it went perfectly, it was satisfying. It's a game changer...well at least it was a game changer before the new Overdrives. With the new Overdrives, you can die before you get to enjoy the effects. If you have one of these on defence, your team has an increased chance of drawing the game ow winning. It needs support though. It can't do it all by itself, it has low damage and needs another player to deal damage to the enemies being frozen.

"Shaft grrrr" would make sense considering what happened to him. What can you obtain from the screenshots? -
Hunter can disable Titan's dome. Hunter can only stun mammoth. It doesn't take away Mammoth's Godmode_On effects.
-
It isn't. I had two instances where my Overdrive ran out 2 seconds before the meteorite impacted. I'd recommend waiting until 13 seconds after the siren sounds to activate it. Don't activate it too early. They aren't dumb. They just don't cheese it or value the gold boxes so much as to cheese their way to catching the golds. You can also speed hack like a lot of the players already do. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Saw that happen exactly 4 times. The Mammoth still took the gold because no one could do anything about it. It's like the Elephant's Foot on top of the gold box marker.
-
I've covered this on the Let's Discuss Overdrives thread here.

It is ok. :) When your Hornet dies, the effect is lost for your entire team. It is vital that the Hornet stays alive when it's using its Overdrive. Edit: Congratulations on reaching 1000 posts. :)
-
Not really. It doesn't get reset to 0% when that happens. Depending on how long after they activated it, they could have 90% remaining or even 40% remaining from it. You can kill them as they activate their overdrive, then they'll come back 20 seconds later with it ready to use again.

I encountered a Stock Hammer who was using the Overdrive and the firing rate seemed kind of slow. It looked slightly slower than the Thunder in the Viking Overdrive example on this site. I'm guessing that Duplet's firing rate would be faster since the shot reload is 85% faster without the Overdrive.

Yeah, Mammoth is absolute cheese when it comes to taking these gold boxes. I caught 15 golds on my M0 account already because of that. At least let the meteorites inflict impact force onto them. You stand on the spot and just see an explosion happen and nothing happens to your tank physically. Look on the bright side though, at least the heavy hulls are dominating it this time and not the light and medium hulls alone. Also, I encountered my first speed hacker for the event earlier today. I encountered two but the second one had one of those names that look like this: CkuJIoBbIu.Haru6aTop The interesting thing was that that first speed hacker wasn't multing, he was actually making kills and came first in that battle. The second one was a mult though.

Yeah, someone named @Groonter told me. He said it still stunned them. I confirmed this when I was going towards the gold marker. I had activated my Overdrive and a Hunter that was nearby activated his and it stunned me but the Mammoth's effect was still there. In the Test Server, that wasn't the case. Yeah, it removes supplies and activates its cooldowns as well.
-
Yeah, it can still use mid-long range turrets. Hunter can stun it for 4 seconds which gives runners plenty of time to make a getaway if it was getting too close to them.

I have a good bit of stuff to translate. If they're insults, you can remove them. I'll try to remember what happened in these screenshots that made them write what they wrote. -
I didn't notice a decrease in the time it takes to drop again. It should take about 104 seconds for another one to "drop". I don't know if "drop" means appear in the sky descending or land on the floor.

Freeze with Viking's Overdrive is evil. I saw a Titan have 90% of its HP taken away by one tick of damage from a Freeze with double damage. It's a true path clearer.
-
I have yet to try Vulcan with Viking's Overdrive. I'm hoping to see the highest number be 400 or something. With double damage, the highest number I saw on my M0 Vulcan's damage numbers was 142.
-
Yes, you are able to do short ranged shots. The velocity of each shot from Magnum during Viking's Overdrive is dependent on the velocity of the shot before you activated it. if you shot a 100% velocity shot, and then activate your Overdrive, it would shoot 100% velocity shots if you just press spacebar. If you shot a 50% velocity shot, and then activate your Overdrive, then it would shoot 50% velocity shots if you just press spacebar. That's what I noticed. I'll do some more testing to see what else may or may not be a determiner.

Changes in the balance of Vulcan, some Drones and Alterations
Kill_the_Propaganda2 replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Once again, players are looking and judging the effects of alterations as they appear on paper and not applying them to practical use (MM in particular). -
Well...yeah. I had a good couple of instances where I'd be driving towards one or more of the enemies, they'd see me, start driving away faster than me while looking at me and I'm there like: Medium hulls outrun me. Titans can't outrun them but if they are a good distance apart, the Titan's slightly slower speed would not be considerable enough for the Mammoth to catch up quickly before the Overdrive ends.

Hmm, if it was minor, then why isn't it being used instead of Stock Vulcan? That barrel spin-up and slowdown times are gorgeous, aren't they? Don't forget that now you can shoot for at least 14 seconds before overheating. That definitely makes up for a 20% damage decrease in MM battles. You don't even use Vulcan (according to the account that you're posting on's stats). When was the last time you've seen a Non-Incendiary Band Vulcan in MM? If you've been seeing them around, how well do they do? Chances are, they did pretty poorly compared to Incendiary Band Vulcans. For M4 Vulcan, a Stock Vulcan can do at most 7,200 damage before beginning to overheat. A Shooting Speed Regulator Vulcan can deal at most 8,640 damage before beginning to overheat. MM battles are fast-paced. Many maps contain lots of cover for enemies to hide behind. People would prefer to use the version of a turret that deals the most damage in the least amount of time because anyone can hide. 10 seconds is pretty good for that as you can expel a few seconds of bullets onto the enemy and catch them right as they get behind cover with Stock Vulcan. With Shooting Speed Regulator Vulcan, you wouldn't kill them because that 20% damage reduction would not allow you to deal the finishing blow in time. Then there are the situations where an enemy is coming and you need to take them out as fast as possible. You can do that with Stock Vulcan but you may suffer damage from them using SSR Vulcan. In maps that don't have much cover, Shooting Speed Regulator can do well. I'm not saying it's useless, I'm just saying that it's better to use Stock Vulcan than regular Vulcan in most if not all MM battles. I like the pros of Shooting Speed Regulator. It's just that I like to keep my damage high at all times since my team needs to secure victory. It's overpriced at the moment which is a deterring factor for anyone interested in it. However, Incendiary Band is right there for less than half of the cost of SSR and could have dominated battles with it. Alterations bring too much disequilibrium to whatever balance we had before. -

If it's a paint or a pack 300,000 crystals, it's legendary. Exotic prizes are either skins (Wasp XT, Striker XT etc) or a pack of 1,000,000 crystals. -
You say that the problem was Vulcan shooting while overheating with an Isida behind its back, but what TYPE of Vulcan are the Isidas staying behind. If there were an Incendiary Band Vulcan and a Shooting Speed Regulator Vulcan on a team with an isida, you would see an isida behind the INCENDIARY BAND Vulcan and not just the Shooting Speed Regulator Vulcan. Incendiary Band Vulcans have something to gain from overheating - a butt load more damage that requires two modules to defend against it. It's no wonder you'd see Incendiary Bands all over the place, it's the only alteration that makes Vulcan "not boring". You saw Incendiary Band Vulcans and thought it was every type of Vulcan so you nerfed all of them. Why not just nerf Incendiary Band? Other Vulcans have nothing to gain from prolonged fire. Why would a regular Vulcan WANT to overheat? And that example you used with wanting to get that person who stole your team's flag, you're making it even harder for your team to secure a victory or even a DRAW!!! We overheat and try to take them out because it will do our team good but now you're punishing us for playing the objective as well. What a very unintelligent solution to the Incendiary Band problem.

I understand. I don't like to give short answers as I feel they may be too vague or open to too many interpretations and encourage even more questions so I try to answer as many questions as possible that may have its roots from the original question. So I guess you can say that I give "long answers" to questions that can ultimately suffice with a short answer. -

It is damage dealt for the Vulcan. Afterburn damage remains the same number after the change. As you have it at M3, it would deal at least 530 damage per second at close to medium range. When you're overheating, the damage that your Vulcan deals would decrease to 159 damage per second at close to medium range. -
