With costs I think it's also bad. I mean, from what has been said, you will still have to grind to get good gear, regardless of your rank. Even worse, you now have to buy every previous model of a turret or hull to receive a better version... That would require double grinding, at least. As for the PRO battles, I almost wanted to just quit. I mean, MM battles are already dull, due to the matchmaking system in general, but also because of maps. I mean, every time you play MM, it's always that same map, that you played on just an hour ago. That just makes it pointless. With battles comes low timing - which effects the game in so many different ways, almost all bad. For grinding, you'll have to join and re-join and re-join battles every 5 minutes or so, and that just gets annoying. Another bad thing is missions... You'll be in the middle of one and then the battle ends, before you even know it. As for gold boxes, the shorter the battle, the less they drop, because of how the drop ratio is. Also, you will quite literally have to continue drugging to stay on top... It's very hard to get kills against buyers, and if you only have 5 minutes per battle to do so you might as well just buy yourself. So many small problems that seem fine alone make up one huge mistake... And it's turned Tanki Online into a sorry ruined state. It all just leads to money, if you think about it. That's all the Devs seem to care about now... Not making a good game, not making players happy, just money, money and money. It's so sad. This was once a great game. I wish it could be so again.

I am kind of for this and not for this... I'm for this because, like @Marcus said, it will fill up the large gaps between middle and pro players, and I won't have to worry about all that bother of being in a match with a guy with Mk 3's, at least for now. What I don't like about it (which I believe has been stated above) is that it does mean more money, which I just had a whole thing on in the complaint book. I think it would be better if you could buy the Mk 7 model of a turret you didn't have the Mk 7 model of if you were like a legend or something, like how it is now - like now you can just straight up buy the Mk 3 version of Gauss if you are a legend and don't have it. But, we'll see how it goes, it hasn't started yet...

I just wish they found a way to make it good again... It would be so sad to see such a great game go to such a waste of time and money... And yes, the basis of this game has become pay-to-win, and it is very boring... I mean, this is now the game I come to after I've been playing all my other games for so long... I hope we can find a way to fix it in the future, so I can enjoy this game again, along with everyone else who agrees with me (on certain points).

All I want to know is what happened to the real Tanki Online... What happened to the game I loved, and was so determined to enjoy at almost any time I was playing on a computer? When I first made this account, around 2014, the game was truly original in gameplay, mechanics, and it was just really fun. Due to an error on my part, I stopped playing for awhile... And when I came back, the game was so different. I came back around 2016 or thereabouts, probably later. The game wasn't so bad then, and I still, for the most part, enjoyed it. But after that, it went downhill... After the game started to become pay to win, things got really boring... Like... 20k to 9k players boring. I tried to make myself like it, but it was just impossible. Now, everything is based on money, money, more money, and did I mention money? You cannot progress in the game without money. I mean, look at the rewards for rankups. Now, compare that to the price of turret modules corresponding to that ranks abilities. Let's take Legend as an example. Of course, at the rank of Legend, you can get M3s. How much do they cost? Well... Alone, they cost around 150k - 200k (or more) to acquire, without using real money. Now, let's ask ourselves... How much does the rankup of Legend give, and how long does it actually take you to get there? Well, you receive 40k cr every time you rankup to Legend. Now, how much does an M3 cost again? Well, you get the idea. Let's move on... How about to things like containers, goldboxes, Tankoins, and things like that. How do you get those (oh, pick me pick me)? Well, I'm pretty sure you can guess... Money. It wasn't that hard, was it. What does that tell you? Well, it tells you that not only can you not get enough funds from ranking up to get decent hulls, but you can't even receive decent amounts of crystals any other way. Well, except money. I could go on and on and on and on and on and on and on (I think you get the picture) about how one would have to pay money for it to be even a little worth it to actually play this game. This game turned from a strategic tank game to a bunch of buttons which activates special abilities, or power ups, to make your tank a... Well... Tank. What am I talking about? Things like double damage, shields, drones, and Oberdrives. Now, besides drop boxes, how does one gain these abilities? Through containers. And what's the primary way of gaining those? Money. See, all this game comes down to is money. And it's saddening. To see a game I once loved to turn into a selfish (but hidden) way of gaining money. There's no more strategy. No more excitement. No more fun. If anyone would like to add to this post, contradictory or agreeing, I would like to hear what they have to say. I just want this game to turn back into the game I once loved... A game which we can all enjoy. I mean, we don't want what happened to Tanki X to happen to Tanki Online, do we? Well, as said above, I would like to hear what you have to say, if anything, regarding this situation. Thanks, and a great and happy new years to all of you.

I didn't really like that game, the game mechanics were too confusing and every time you got something the game would tell you to equip it, no matter what it was or if it was better, and it wouldn't even give you the stats - also my brother LOST his computer because of it.

It is a very slow death... Meaning that even though the game is degrading, people still would enjoy it and maybe miss playing it... It was always a good game, but with what the Devs are doing it will most likely die.

Yes... And really saddening. I remember when tanki was a game everyone wanted to play and there were like 50k players... Maybe even more... But Tanki started dying when the Devs started updating the game not for the sake of players, but for the sake of money and themselves - old tanki you used to be able to actually vote on updates or fixes and such, and everyone loved it because everyone has what they wanted, and if they didn't, they could have their suggestion voted on... Now the Forum Moderators take charge of it, and it is not based on the popular vote... And that's when people started leaving, because tanki was making updates that no one wanted or thought was useless, and then when Tankoins where added, which you now need to get kits, just showed they wanted more money... Because now I can't get kits that I normally would be able to. Ever since tanki started ignoring the players opinions, the game has been degrading... I just hope the new tanki, if there is one, will change all this and will actually be worth playing.
