  1. Freeze M2 actually unlocks at WO5, so I wouldn't say it's a great advantage to have unlocked it a rank earlier. While Hornet M2 does unlock 3 ranks later, it only gives an effective advantage over light M1 hulls. M1 hunter, for example, can still be a formidable opponent to M2 hornet. Though the attackers would get a serious advantage with this kit, I wouldn't say it's OP enough to upset game balance. (The old Medium M2 kit; Prodigi at First Lieutenant, now that's what I would call OP!) The kit system has actually improved for the masses. It's now possible to save up and buy a kit of your choice. You just have to spend smartly and not waste crystals(Unlike the old kits which were almost exclusively meant for buyers). So, No! I won't say that Tanki is becoming more inclined towards buyers than before. If anything, it has become more inclined towards non buyers with features like Daily Missions and now, DM tournaments which provide opportunities to earn lots of crystals.

Is it easier being a low ranker?

In my opinion, being a lower ranker is relatively tougher now because of all the extra features that didn't exist during my days of 'newbie-ness'. Micro upgrades, Daily Missions, Premium Accounts and soon, paints and modules are just to name a few. Some of you might argue that it doesn't make the game tough, but this is my personal opinion. Lesser the things to worry about, the better it is. We should also take into consideration that as time progresses, more and more players reach the top ranks and start making alts. This obviously makes it tougher for the actual newbies. This debate actually reminds me of a popular argument which, I think, can be used as an analogy here. Most of us must have heard this from our parents or grandparents that life was tougher when they were children XD. Strictly speaking, any given person will be biased to his or her own time and will probably make it seem better than it actually was. They (the older gen) usually tell us about how tough life was and how they didn't have the luxury of modern gadgets, high connectivity, comfortable and cheap conveyance, fast food, supermarkets, etc. While these things do make life of a modern person more comfortable on a superficial level, the expectations and burdens have also increased. Just to cite a small example, my 3 year old cousin can operate an Android phone perfectly. From spying on his mother to see the pass code to opening it, connecting to wifi and watching his favorite cartoons on YT, nothing is tough for him. At his age, I was eating walls and befriending monkeys. ._. While this does not mean that he's smarter than I was (he's just being raised in smarter times), it does mean that we expect him to do a lot more things when he's a teenager. On a larger scale, this means that both quality and qauntity of the education being imparted will be increased. So, while our forefathers might have had to walk in the sun for hours to get somewhere or wait for months to get a reply to their letters, they certainly didn't have to worry about scoring low grades in any one of the tens of subjects being crammed into their brains.

  5. Well, technically the Skype group still exists. But it has kinda gone into slump save occasional arguments on range of issues.
  6. Well, it actually was but I doubt NS was aware of it. It's a very common topic anyways.
  7. Woooooohooooooo!!!! Finally!! Something meant for me! :D Though I've already had this debate when the now-extinct Tanki Online Debating Society was active on the forum. I'm still not sure as to which side I'll take, but in definitely in!
  8. @beaku & @sanskar123456789 I'm pretty sure this is how the discussion for this topic went: Gold: Respected colleagues, this fiscal cycle has seen an unexpected budget surplus of about 20,000 crystals. The ministry suggests that the amount be given away to a lucky citizen to be determined by an unbiased draw. *big sighs, everyone murmurs* Gold: But just to create excess social pressure to be virtuous, the ministry also suggests that the amount be divided equally among two accounts, where the owner of both account can't be the same. And we'll also insert a subtle psyche-moulding sentence that it'll be better if both account aren't owned by the entree. The ministry also wants them to crack lame jests with half hearted efforts to lighten our moods. *sadistic laughs engulf the room*
  9. Got all 4... ^_^... Won't be reserving any, though. I've already had enough of TX -_-

I don't think that many mods are even low ranked. Most of them are at M3 levels. Even if they are a bit low ranked (Say, reporters for example), I don't see why there's a problem with them having high end kits and thousands of supplies. Buyers have the same thing! Why discriminate against the poor guy who's actually doing work to earn all that versus the guy who just swipes a credit card and presto! As for disturbing game balance... HHHH HHHHHHHHHH! Even if there were 1000 times more mods than there are now, they couldn't disturb the game balance. The helper paint is no better than the Premium paint. So, speaking of fair, anything which a moderator has can also be acquired by a normal player. It's utterly nonsensical to complaint about this issue.

I myself have all three drugs activated over 80% of the time. I doubt you saw a hacker. It's pretty easy if you time your garage supplies with drop boxes. Also, if you're good enough, people will let you take the drop boxes so you have a higher chance of having all three drugs. I'm sure you are exaggerating Mafioso's response but I'll let him speak for himself.

    No Man's Land

Sorry for the amateurish formatting. I'm down with cold and had nothing to do so I just typed this out on my mobile... And yeah, there's definitely more coming. I haven't actually come up with the whole plot yet. I'll just improvise depending on response. :D P.S. Though I've tried to be as historically accurate as possible, there might be some inconsistencies to accommodate various plot points so please forgive those.

    No Man's Land

No Man's Land 4th July, 1556. A remote location in North-Western India: A solitary lamp was the only guide of the lost horseman. He knew he had to hurry before he or his horse succumbed to acute exertion. It had been over 12 hours since he had tasted a drop of water. His destination was still miles away. Inspite of everything, he clung to an odd looking leather bag as if it was the only thing keeping him alive. Deep within his heart, he somehow knew that this night would be his last. At last, he could see the tiny shed. His work was done. He heard an odd drum beat and a man's gruff voice followed, "Stop right there! Identify yourself!". He got down from his horse and answered in a hoarse, feeble voice, "It is me, Ali, great grandson of Ibrahim Khan. Here to deliver Mughal's gift." "Come on, in brother. There's a drum of water on the other side, leave your horse there. " After securing his horse, he entered the shed and gave the leather bag to the gigantic man. The man took it with utmost care and placed it inside a steel box and proceeded to secure it. Ali looked around and saw a sack packed for journey. For a moment, he fancied that it was the courtesy of this man to pack him ration for his return journey. But before he could blink an eye he heard a very familiar 'shink' and in the next moment, was aware of extreme pain in his back. "Forgive me, brother. May your soul rest in peace". Those were the last words he heard before eternal darkness took over. 5th July, 1556. Some hundred miles North-West of Delhi The horse didn't seem to mind that his rider had suddenly gained a lot of weight or that fact that he was in a greater hurry than before. Shashipal was indeed in a great hurry. There was no time to be lost. He did regret the fact that he had to kill an innocent man who now lay inside the ground near the outpost. Shashipal had made sure that he was buried with honors with all Islamic rituals. That was the least he could do for him. But he also knew that a life, or even a hundred lives were of no importance when it came to the protection of the great secret he carried with him. The so called 'Mughal's Gift'. He had no idea what it was or why it had so much significance attached to it. All he knew was that it had been passed down for many generations and at any given time, not more than a handful of people were aware of its presence, including the Mughal emperor himself. He had heard of Emperor Humayun's death a few months earlier and the chain of events to secure the secret had immediately been set in motion. Had this happened a few years later, Shashipal would have known to divulge the knowledge to the new emperor. But, Jalaludin was only a little boy. There was no way he was going to understand the importance of the secret. Shashipal still wasn't sure as to what he was going to do once he reached Delhi. He had heard rumors about Hemu marching to take Delhi. But he had faith in the Mughal Army. They'd definitely not allow that. 23rd August, 1556. Delhi Teg Bahadur stood in silence as the body of his old apprentice was being taken through various rites. At last, it was put on the pyre and fire was lit. "Rest in peace, brother", Teg Bahadur whispered. Few hours later, he was at his home staring at a large steel box. "Exactly how many souls must be sacrificed before this thing is secured?!" He was quite angry with himself and with his ancestors. He had heard of Hemu's victory at Agra. Despite all precautions and measures, he knew Hemu would take over Delhi. The secret was no longer safe there. It had to be dispatched to Kabul as soon as possible. "Enough is enough! Too many lives have been lost in this bloody ordeal! No longer will this cursed Gift be allowed to take lives. As the last brother, I swear that no one else shall know about it until a time when the lost lives can be redeemed." With that solemn pledge, he ordered his servants to take the box down to stable. He would leave for Kabul immediately. In the midst of a dark and silent night, the solitary traveler galloped towards his destination. One man's will, thousands condemned. Cities laid to waste, millions became slaves. The might of ten thousand armies put to shame. O' Great one, protect us from the ultimate doom. Thy bidding shall be done if thou can save us from the light brighter than thousand suns!

^ Yes, Fed I'm aware of your issue too and I feel bad for you. But in most other cases, they have got their accounts back so it's not completely pointless to hope for it.

This is the end. [ Blload ]

Unfortunately, I can't deny the fact that people do get banned or blocked for no reason. The most common reason is misunderstanding. Making a big fuss over it will not help anyone. You have to have patience. Send an email to help desk explaining CLEARLY what has happened and give them some proof of your account ownership. PM a admin/CM and ask them to help you. Tell then that the Help Desk in unable to understand your situation. I know someone who was a moderator and got his account blocked too.... XD. He was really pissed off about it but he didn't give up. Such things can happen with anyone. The only way to solve it is not to give up. Keep pestering them for weeks, months even years, if necessary. Who knows, they might give you some compensation for the trouble caused? Good luck with whatever you do. PS. I'm an old player too. Not from 2010, but old enough to know about the old moderator system when they used to get crystals for each ban the gave out. Many mods abused this power and hence the system was changed. The new system ensures that mods can't abuse their powers to ban innocent players. Moreover, they aren't responsible for blocking accounts. The help desk is, hence you should contact them.
