Episode 282 of the V-LOG is live!

Totally agree. By the way, if you're curious, I got the information about Tesla via a Tanki Newspaper post about a developer livestream that took place a couple weeks ago:

Episode 282 of the V-LOG is live!

Its been delayed. Tanki devs are focusing on hulls for the moment, so don't expect Tesla until at least 2021.

Episode 282 of the V-LOG is live!

Quick question: Will you guys ever fully play the intro again? Instead of the shortened version?

    December Challenge I

New rule: I will only buy battle passes when the paints have my two favorite colors, black and red on them.

    Crusader. Early access.

    I predicted this lol.

    Crusader. Early access.

So after a decade, Tanki decided to shove our faces with 3 new hulls, 2 of which seem to come out of nowhere. I miss the days when Tanki gave us info on new equipment months before they released it.

    Fire/Ice on Walls and Ground

This should be a thing in the settings tab, where you can toggle it on or off.

    So how's Tanki doing now?

Honestly....for me, the big selling point of Tanki right now are challenges. They're actually do-able now. But otherwise, meh.

    Anticipating the tesla turret

I predict Tesla would come out in Spring 2021. Usually in the past, a new turret is either released during spring (Vulcan, Magnum and Gauss), or during Christmas (Hammer and Striker) I actually predicted we would get a new medium hull by Christmas because the developers had already released Hopper and Ares mere months from each other. (Also cause your medium hovering hull topic was "Under Review" or something similar at the time). Since devs also released a forum post or something stating they were working on hulls at the moment, I ruled out Christmas 2020 as the release of Tesla. With Christmas out of the way, the next "window" for a new piece of equipment would be Spring 2021. Additionally, since it looks like Tesla will be using the new model, I predict we will start seeing the new, detailed models for turrets and hulls like Smoky and Hornet to come out soon...possibly before or directly after Tesla is released. Of course, this is all a speculation, so its not 100% gonna come true.....I think.
  11. Agreed. I don't understand how hard it is for the devs to make the HTML5 version, AT THE VERY LEAST, have stuff be arranged in the same places they were in the Flash version. And yes! The garage is so bad. Sometimes, it won't even let me change stuff in a battle, despite me waiting the cooldown timer that is applied from the last time I changed equipment. I agree that they are useless in terms of how efficient you are in a battle. But still, it would be nice to have skins and shot effects change as you upgrade things. It helps spice up the gameplay, and it gives more of a reason for people to grind for the upgrade. On the other hand, you're right about paints. They barely matter, now that there's hundreds of them. I'm fine with millions of paints added, but as long as they don't affect gameplay at all. Agreed. Sadly, its been almost a year since Tanki did a decent balance update. They've been ignoring it for months, which I absolutely hate.
  12. Ohhh okay. Yeah, i'd figured it costs less. But the time it takes to finish each Micro-Upgrade still seems relatively the same, or at least it feels like it. Not really. On my mini-account, which I started sometime early this year, I managed to finish its MK2, Mk3, and Mk4 MUs way before I unlocked the respective modifications. I agree with the Mk1 and Mk2 gap. No need to MU there, but its still better off MU-ing the rest. Unless I managed to play like, 5 hours a day on the account. Additionally, the account has Mk4 equipment, and I managed to get them to 9/10, but its still 3 ranks before I can reach Mk5. So yeah, what you said probably won't work for the more casual players. As in, players who only play to finish the daily missions.
  13. Yeah, er, no way am I wasting crystals on Speed-Ups. Pretty sure going from Mk6 to Mk7 is the same as going from M2 5/10 to M3 0/10. Oh wait, I don't really know because instead of doing Mk1 to Mk8, Tanki did Mk1 to Mk7 so it doesn't really even out.

    Ideas and Suggestions for HTML5

Expect "Whammy Immunity" as an Augment. If you equip the Augment, and someone kills you and a nearby teammate, it would not count as a "double whammy". Just kidding lol. Anyways, back to the topic, a few nights ago, I actually dreamed of a similar idea being in Tanki for a few gamemodes, like DM, or TDM :D
  15. Yeah, but it only tells you for the next modification. I wanna see when all the modifications unlock, all at once, ahead of time.
  16. It generally isn't. However, it was released too late. And too rushed in my opinion. Tanki should've at least fleshed out some new skins for the extra modifications, to make them give off some of the "charm" the original version had. The M system was simpler. 4 Modifications, each distinctly recognizable by visual appearance. You could also get more bang for your buck during a sale, or even just when you buy the upgrade on a regular day, as the stats went up by double or so, compared to the Mk. I know the Wiki has the info.... But it's not like the majority of Tanki players even knows it exists. And it's kinda inconvenient if it wasn't listed in the actual game itself. In fact, the Flash Version had a in-game chart-thingy on the interface that listed all the unlock ranks, but HTML5 sadly, doesn't do that....or even list all the equipment parameters with specific numbers like Flash did. All you get on HTML5 is a weird circle with bars being filled up.
  17. Yeah, so you're saying, if Tanki didn't release any crappy updates, people wouldn't leave by the thousands, and thus there'd be no need for the Mk System. Which proves Emeraldcat's point of the M system being completely fine. I don't see why this isn't relatable to others. Even after it being in the game for many months now, I still don't have a clue when exactly each Mk modification for each equipment is unlocked. With the M system, I had a general idea (For Example, M1 unlocked around the Warrant Officer Ranks), so I was able to plan and micro-upgrade my equipment accordingly.
  18. Yeah. It does. Of course I won't ignore the flag carrier, but besides that, if two enemies were near me and one had weaker equipment than the other, I'd definitely go for the easier kill. Pretty sure cherry-picking would most certainly help in TDM mode. And I encounter people with long-range turrets that do it all the time.

Was the MM system always unbalanced ?

Oh, just realized, you can make a Brigadier-Generalissimo's life so much better if matchmaking put all Legend players into their own pool. Separate Legends and if your rank is lower than Legend, you will never face a Legend except in Pro Battles. Why? Because currently, all Legends count as one rank. Really nice to see a Generalissimo player go against players who are Legend 50 and such. It's like fighting someone who's 50 ranks higher than you.

    Ideas for Game Modes!

I honestly think, if a flash themed mode came out, it shouldn't be xp/bp based. Rather, it should be Smoky/Wasp based, because based on my research, when the game first came out, the first turret/hull combo everyone got to use was Smoky and Wasp.
  21. It's not just EMP Immunity..... Two solutions: Nerf all Augments. Or make all players be able to receive augments easily.
  22. If something's been around for 10 years, the only thing that needs to be "improved" is like a graphics/polishing update. Not a whole rework, deleting the thing that everyone was fine with and grown accustomed to for a whole decade. Also, I honestly think, instead of wasting time and resources to make the MK system happen, Tanki should've worked on actual game balance instead, not balance between buyers vs non-buyers. For instance, Gauss is way too overpowered right now but the devs haven't touched it for almost a year. Or, Vulcan and Fire Immunity, which indirectly makes Twins useless in the current meta.
  23. Yeah, but I'd prefer the original M system because whenever equipment goes on sale, you get far better value from micro-upgrading or buying the next modification. Granted, sales don't come often, but when I was 100% invested in the game during 2017-2018, I only bought micro-upgrades during sales. Well unless they re-implement unique skins for each modification, I won't be happy. You can't judge someone's equipment level in battle by Gear Score alone.

Was the MM system always unbalanced ?

Yeah, even before the experiment, my mini account (which is Captain and has Mk4 9/10 equipment) would keep being put in matches where the majority of players were between Brigadier and Marshal. The two best ways to solve it are to make matchmaking based on equipment level, with rank as a secondary factor... Or to make the rank brackets much smaller (of course, this will mean longer wait times in matchmaking).
  25. Not really. Alterations enhance certain turret parameters, but lower others to keep the gameplay rather balanced. Augments just boost you with no drawbacks. Like Fire Immunity or Adrenaline. We did....but we didn't have stuff like Crisis or Hyperion. In fact, the first 3 or 6 Drones weren't massively overpowered. They did boost you, but they were relatively cheap to obtain and the boosts weren't that noticeable. If we had the old modification system.... We'd still have drones, just not the overly strong ones. And there will be no augments because Alterations would still exist. In fact, the thing that started it all was when Firebird's burn damage was buffed to 300 per second in 2018. It was unnecessary and people ended up complaining due to it being too strong, and thus 2 years later, Tanki decided to "solve" it by making Fire Immunity, which was born after Protection Modules were nerfed to not protect against burn damage, due to the fact a bunch of Alterations for random turrets besides Firebird had fire aspects, prompting most people to equip Firebird Modules and thus being a major nerf to actual Firebird users. And now, with the Fire Immunity, Firebird is still very weak in the meta, as most people already bought Firebird Modules and they're still equipping them because they probably don't want their crystals to go to waste. Granted, MK-System is more balanced. But the M system was easier to comprehend and it gave you a cool skin and shot effect every time you upgraded. It worked for a decade. But the MK-System was implemented too late, and it's a nerf for buyers. Granted, buyers are annoying, but without them, Tanki devs would have no income. As such, the M system made buyers strong due to upgrade levels. When the MK system was added, buyers lost that advantage. And to keep the money rolling, Tanki released overpowered Alterations, aka AUGMENTS. The difference between the M system and Augments, were that buyers only had higher damage and health for the M system. Augments, made them 100% immune to a ton of game mechanics. While Drones made them use supplies to the extent where they can take out a whole team of enemy players easily. Players with Drones + Augments + Mk7 Protection Modules + Supplies is extremely powerful, compared to players without them.
