Why does tanki allow m0 guns and hulls to be used in m2 + battles
TaffyTank replied to PhantomFlanFlinger in Archive
Well....I won't take that advice and just keep playing DM instead, but I know for certain that loads are using these dirty tactics, including clans. Drugging is a seperate issue, all I say on that is I have never bought a single supply with money. And haven't bought any with crystals for over a year. But I suppose I have the advantage of being this rank with the bonuses that come with it....so I don't know if lower ranks need to buy or not. Agree with the second part. -

Hmmm!!...So you say deal with cheats by cheating yourself?...seriously?...I guess this explains why cheating has spiraled out of control in Tanki. But I don't like to cheat in games, frankly I find the whole idea of cheating to make battles as easy as possible to win in order to advance in the game slightly quicker kind of pathetic and cringe-worthy. I don't really care about your conversation with the guy that started this topic. I also don't judge the M0 isida in the picture, cos I don't see what they were doing for the rest of the battle, don't see their battle scores, and don't see when in the battle the guy changed to M0 Isida...might have been right at the end of battle for all I know. The problem is that players using their weaker equipment is seen as cheating, because it's a common way to mult battles. If you can pull your weight with your M0, then great!!...chances are you won't at your rank. The developers have made a playable game, but they haven't done anything of use about cheats....You might not care about how cheating fools are ruining this game for loads of others, plenty of other people do, including me. I don't blame the devs, I blame the cheats.....although the devs could have done more to tackle the cheats. -

LOL, in case you hadn't noticed.....it's the misuse of the friends list and invite system that the mult-using cowards rely on to dump their mult dogs in the enemy teams. It's an inevitable unwanted by-product of those two features. Besides, no one should have to rely on getting reliable friends and clan-mates to play fair battles. We're here to play a simple Tank game and should be free to play it however we want as long as that's within the game rules. If someone doesn't want to interact with any community and prefers to play the game as a loner, then that's their call. They shouldn't have to suffer cheats because they can't be bothered with clans and friends. And “you think the developers have to do everything for you?” comment made me laugh, what have they done exactly?...a vote system that's like a chocolate teapot, a kick system that failed almost immediately, a record and report system that most don't have the hardware, software or time for, and a future matchmaking plan that was a predominantly hated huge change to how we play the game. Its common knowledge now that this game is super easy to cheat-to-win. It shouldn't be up to us to find solutions to this plague, or change how we play the game to avoid cheaters, but sadly that's the point its got to for many. Adapt to avoid cheats....or quit. But yes, in the meantime you are right, adapt and play with reliable friends & clanners if you want dont want your team cheated in team battles....or play only DM, which is what I do. -
Might be completely wrong here, but don't the servers reset at around 2AM?...perhaps you collected the missions that kept your week 4 chain active immediately before, during or immediately after server reset and this is a problem associated with that. It might be worth asking for the exact time you collected and the exact time server restarted on that day, assuming they have this info. Anyway, just speculating here cos I obviously don't know how this happened.

If you use the client software....Is the screen that you see when you first start Tanki showing Russian flag in the top-Right hand side of the screen? If, yes....click on the triangle next to the flag and pick the flag of United Kingdom if you want English Language. No idea if this is your problem, but when I enter game with Russian flag showing, lobby chat is in Russian language. EDIT...just saw the post above....I doubt this is the problem then.

Never bothered with super missions since "missions in non-PRO" update. Could have taken months to complete some of them and would have missed out on crystals and drugs from the many easier missions the super mission stops me doing. XT mission would have been worth it, but never got any since I got Mammy + Hornet XT's. Super missions are always about available time to play....If you can no-life the game they're worth doing, if not, they're counter-productive depending on how long they take. I'm hoping those with XT and standard versions of the same equipment are compensated in some way. Perhaps a free skin? ;) ...assuming there are going to be multiple XT skin versions, surely?....also, quite annoying for those that paid full buying and MU cost for XT's, because there were never sales for them like with standard equipment.

I like your feisty, raging attitude, you'll make a fine legend one day. I wonder if you'll be calling yourself a Jerk when you hit top rank. (.....In a couple of ways, the OP is exactly why I'm glad I quit team battles(apart from missions..)

As with paints, GB and Premium, the value of supplies is relative to what the player wants/needs, but I get your point. For me only RK's are worth having cos I've got so much more of the other drugs than RK, making buying the 100 kit a waste....So the only option is to buy RK's from the garage at 75c each in sales. I refuse to do this cos it gets to the point where every RK used is effectively eating into fund winnings, making it unsustainable if I wanna carry on upgrading stuff. And I will never buy the big supplies kit. So I'll just play no-supply until I rebuild my supplies stash(if I run out of drugs)...so overall, I can make do without less supplies per week as I've other options. The problem with people getting what the majority see as junk rewards from containers is the fault of the junk rewards being there at all. Perhaps Tanki needs to change this, the issue with that is there's probably people that actually want mines and SB for things like Parkour. If it was my choice, I'd remove the mines and SB rewards and have an extra smaller x75 bundle of supplies reward and another crystal reward perhaps. Which increases the chances of getting useful supplies that would put your weekly chain supplies back to last months x3 chain levels. About nub paints......there's only so many junk ones you can get. The odds of getting a good one next time increase slightly every time you get a junk one.(<--not being serious)

In the meantime, If you get a premium container or mission you can create a pro battle yourself cos u get a free pass, then drop the golds to yourself. 10 GB is 10k minimum. So that's 13.5k minimum without Electra, which is almost the entire x3 crys rewards Legends got previously. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tip....open containers on a day you know you have more time to play, so you can make more use of any Premium you might get. If u don't get Premium, so be it. I've gained 10k battle rewards and 2.5k log-in bonus from my 3 day Premium so far. I've got 2 days left so I'll see if I can convert the Premium into 40k+. I also got a 100 top up on all my supplies(needed RK's)..and 5 GB's, 5k minimum. This update is superb....probably the best Tanki have done for years.

3 Days Premium 100 of all Supplies 5 x Gold Boxes Nice !!!
-
Yeah!!...I was so annoyed to get a free XT hornet...I really didn't want to play enjoyable and balanced XpBp battles for the cost of a PRO pass and a Railgun which I already had...earning hundreds of thousands of crystals while doing so. Just so annoying when stuff like that happens. :P

Goals in Rugby....Pfff !!!! If the way to score in Rugby mode is by carrying the ball into a zone at one end of the map in order to score, this should be called a "Try" not a "goal". The closest thing to a goal in Rugby is a Drop Goal, which is awarded for a successful kick for goal from open play, that isn't a penalty. Apart from that........great!!!

You're both right IMO....Paint value is dependent on whether you want that paint or not, or if you want as many nice paints as possible. If you are this type of player container paints become extremely valuable as it saves you buying them with cry earnings or cash. For someone that doesn't care about paints, they could be considered worthless in terms of crystals. Truth is though, I'm pretty sure that most players without nice paints won't complain if they get one of the nicer high value garage or shop paints.(or animated)...depends on the players taste I suppose. Also, from Tanki's perspective, giving free paints in containers is likely to reduce the amount of paints sold, as players will wait and hope they get a paint they like instead of spending their crystals on garage paints. Possibly another factor in how Tanki chose to get rid of x3 rewards?? There's a few garage and shop paints I personally would value.

The value of GB's is dependent on how they're used..... A good example is this battle in double funds weekends..... Very close non-pro battle. My team losing by 2 flags with couple of minutes to go. I dropped one of my mission golds. Enemy drops guard and some even switch from their better hulls to their M3 digger Dictators. Enemy gets smashed up, loses by one flag. I had mission premium which I activated with seconds left of battle. The combo of GB and Premium earned me around 2k more than had I lost without activating premium. And that's from one 15 min battle....Imagine the value of a GB dropped in a mega fund long PRO battle. Ofc, this is relatively pointless explanation as it depends how the GB is used, most GB drops are for fun...but I reckon Gb's are highly useful battle-winning supply worth thousands of crystals each when used perfectly. I probably wouldn't factor this in if you drop GB's for kicks. For me personally, I will be cos I'm saving a whole load of golds for when I go back to playing more PRO battles, and also the next time I have double funds+premium.

The difference in crystal gains with today's chain rewards compared to x3 mission chains over the space of a year for a Legend rank is 291k. Which is quite shocking unless you consider that the 10 and 3 days of Premium in Containers was a big factor in deciding to reduce the chain rewards. We can earn 156 containers a year. That's a whole load of chances to get Premium containers. Looking at the post above by @LittleWillie.....At a guess and being conservative, the odds are it's highly likely each of us will get at least 1x10 days premium and 3 x 3 days Premium in the space of a year. Let's say I do and play 3 hours a day with premium and earn 7k crystals a day on average, double that to account for the double rewards received. So that's 7k daily premium gains times the 19 days of Premium = 133,000 crys Add onto that the 2500 a day just for logging into premium = 47,500 crys So if a guy playing 3 hours a day can convert 19 days of Premium into 180k+ crystals, you can imagine what a no-lifer will do with that amount of Premium. Double it or even treble it, as proven in the prestigious Tanki mouse potato top 100 no-lifer ratings week in week out. And that's without the supplies you get with Premium and whatever else the other 152 containers give, which might go some way to stocking up on the extra supplies we won't be getting anymore. I can live with this myself and just play more no-supplies battles instead. Still think this is a generous update.
-
Pfff !!!.........I've so far opened 8 containers I got from event weekends. I've won some crystal rewards, supplies, paints and 13 days premium worth potentially hundreds of thousands of crystals dependent on how much effort I put into making the most of it. In my estimation, over the course of a year the rewards you'll get from containers will be more than the difference between x3 rewards and whatever it is now(not that x3 rewards should be used as a comparison, it was never guaranteed they'd stay) ....it might be dependent on luck, some will be unbelievably lucky, some won't. On average I'm guessing most will benefit, some hugely.
-
According to the last time I saw a list of container rewards, other things you could win are......... That's what you'll have 3 chances a week at, not just speed boosts. Neither screenshot shows the winning margin...which would obviously effect the distribution of funds between winners and losers. If the winning margins for both battles are the same and the fund is very similar, then you have a point.
-
I don't think the funds has changed but I might be wrong...In that screen you posted earlier there were lower ranks in that battle, which always lowers the fund by a lot cos I think u get less crystals for rekting those guys. Just did a DM battle and got 1089 crystals for 64 kills...which looks about right

It could be argued that updates like this help the game economy, or at least have minimal effect. It takes the burden of paint buying away from the non-buyers and low-paying buyers.....which then allows them to focus on getting better equipment, making them far more competitive. This stronger free or low paying user base is then a far more difficult challenge for a buyer to overtake....so to retain their dominance over non-buyers they have to decide if they should buy more or simply play more, chances are they'll buy more. But updates like this give them an alternative option which is also beneficial to the game, so Tanki can't be accused of milking them as they do have a choice. Also, arguing that this discourages buying and encourages multi-accounting is a moot point. Main reasons that buyers buy is because they want to dominate, don't have the patience to wait, or simply because they want to support the game they love...it's highly unlikely they'd even care about the multi-account, minimal-play workaround, which has always been the efficient way to play Tanki waaay before this update....many buyers and free2players can't be bothered with efficiency, they just want to play the game as often as they can with one or maybe two accounts. Does this discourage buyers from buying paint???....doubt it, why wait in the hope of getting the paint you want from a weekly container, when you can instantly get it from the shop(or Garage) instead if you have the cash. But that is all insignificant compared to the greatest benefit of this update. Dishing out tons of schmexy paints to the low rank, quite simply, makes the game look better for newbies to the game. ***assuming lower ranks get containers from chains, which they surely should**** Before, you'd join the game and all you were up against was boring looking M0's or M1's with cheapo tacky looking paint jobs. Now, a noob joins the game and is more likely to see nice looking paints to aspire to get. A noob to the game will decide pretty early on if this game is for them or not, and stuff like this is more of an incentive to stay. Not to mention what impression a giveaway like leaves of Tanki, just a very generous gesture from Tanki.

Interesting update today with containers being given out as part of mission chains......how does that fit in with the argument that the devs have some obsession with money-making instead of making the game more enjoyable? Yes, they want cash as any business should......but dishing out potentially hundreds of thousands of a brand new buyable feature to players for the effort of completing one mission a day does not look like greed to me.

This will be a hugely popular update...Love it!!!

My missions seem to be back to normal today..... A 4x GB for 3000 exp mission I had left over from yesterday. earn 450 cry for 54 supplies capture 6 flags for 3 hour premium. Typical !!l, I'm one of the few guys that would prefer the harder reward missions, but I seem to be the only one so far that's had their missions reset to the easy missions. :)

Buying no other turret gives as much of an advantage for such a low price as Rail does. Players can buy Rail M3 and a light hull M3 for around 200k crystals for both, then immediately jump in on high-reward XpBp battles with obviously no need to buy protection or upgrades. We can use other turrets in no-MU battles, but anyone in higher ranks that plays these battles will know that you need a good range of protections to be more likely to succeed. And having just one turret to pick from puts you at a disadvantage to people with lots of protection options, so one non-upgraded turret isn't usually enough....this is not the case with XpBp. Anyone that's any good in XpBp can use this bargain combo to buy and fully-upgrade other equipment items and save up drugs for standard battles while they're doing so(assuming they're playing less standard battles and more XpBp) Check out the experience points gained by the XpBp pros and consider how much crystals they've gained through that experience. Earning many millions of crystals from a turret that cost around 200k in sales, and having fun in enjoyable, balanced battle format...Great deal!!! Railgun owners (like me) have nothing to complain about IMO. It's even questionable whether or not Rail is U-P in standard battles against other turrets. On a map that suits them they're pretty damn lethal if they're being used right, especially in the hands of a drugger.

So you're saying it's impossible to win battles, rank-up, complete missions and weekly chains?...or do you have glitch in your garage that doesn't let you buy items on sales days?
