I agree, Hunter m1 isn't going to last you to much higher, so it really is not a good idea. If you ask me, the best choice would be the stinger, it also opens the path to xp, cause of fracture. Isida Hornet is far more useful because it has greater agility, it can heal friends and reach them fast enough, as well as circle strafe also, which, with Isida is an extremely important. To be honest, I'd wait for the Fortress, Minoataur or Firefly(I think thats its name, correct me if I'm wrong) Because Isida at lower levels is useful, but at higher levels, firebird, twins and freeze tend to dominate, which renders Isida practically last, because by higher levlers are more skilled, your isida tricks won't be good. Yes, I speak from expirience
