The first three slots are not that expensive and quite affordable for F2P'S with some saving, also there was an event where you could literally get all 4 + some UC's for 1000Tks.

They were really cheap (500cry iirc) and performed almost as well as the better, more expensive turrets.

If you already own an item from BP you don't get any substitution reward unfortunately, so yeah, it is an empty slot essentially. You always have to decide for yourself if the current BP is worth buying, but recently skins have got a comeback to BP as a final step reward if you haven't noticed, so that might be an enticement to buy it in an of itself for some.

The freezing effect is really quite strong now, but I don't buy immunities by principle. It's much more worth it to wait when your preferred immu comes to a battle pass or also you can get a lucky drop from containers from time to time.
