Background: Currently, Ares's overdrive (i.e. the slow traveling plasma orb) explodes and deal damage to EVERYONE (including enemies, Ares himself and allies) near it when it hits solid objects (the ground, obstacles, other tanks, etc). Issue: The orb is designed so that team mates and the Ares are supposed to chase it for healing while the orb disperses clustered enemies. I would see it as a create opening for a team fight. Yet, the orb somehow explodes at the end and killed everyone near it, which defeats the purpose of healing team mates and damaging enemies. Suggestion: The final explosion damages enemies while healing allies and Ares himself. Battle points are rewarded according to the damage dealt/number of kills (using standard equation) and healing done (using Isida healing equation). To balance it, it might required to reduce the damage and/or healing done.

I played Tanki X and I actually like the spider mine quite a lot. It travels about the same speed of a medium hull (maybe a bit faster?) and track the target for a long long time.

You fire a slow traveling plasma ball, which damage enemies and heal allies (including you, just like Moira's ability in Overwatch). It explodes when it hit anything solid (walls, other tanks, etc) and deal massive damage (to you as well, which in my opinion should not behave like that).

Ares's overdrive should not kill the Ares when it explodes. It should heal him instead. The ball is designed so that team mates and the Ares should chase the ball for healing, but at the end for some reason you will be killed by it. The current design is simply flawed.

It seems that the issue is fixed not long ago.
-
Known issue, and I believe devs are trying to fix this. I properly know the general reason of what is going on, but it would be too complicated for a layman.

I have been in the IT industry for more than a year now (still a newbie, I know), and I was responsible for managing part of the Clinical Management System (i.e. a critical system). One thing i have learnt is technology migration is very hard and painful.

Because most Ares are properly under-leveled
-
@RIDDLER_8 Also, since you have tried all drones. Can you recommend a drone for Ares + Vulcan?
-
Deprecated on Jan. Will be obsolete on Dec
-
Yeah, we know and the devs properly know about it by now.
-
I actually like Ares so much that I replaced my Titan with it. It is much more maneuverable than all other heavy hulls.
-
Err, I have no idea what you are trying to say
-
I finally tested it on HTML5 version. Yeah, you can't move sideway in the Flash version.
-
Wait, you can play on HTML5 version? It crashes on me every single time I joined a match.
-
Sigh, depends on the definition of "soon". Currently, I'm just upset that there is essentially no differences on how you control Ares on the Flash version while the HTML5 version is completely screwed.
-
Ares update in a nutshell: Seriously, the bugs almost taken all the excitement of a new update.
-
HTML5 client? Yep, pretty much everyone else.
-
Huh? Is it really a good idea to include a hull which has totally different controls from others?
-
That's weird, because on the Flash version (HTML5 version crashes), there are essentially no difference on how to control Ares when enabling or disabling mouse control
-
When I enabled mouse control, am I supposed to able to strafe Ares with A and D key? Because when I do so on the Flash version, it rotates the hull instead.
-
Actually, are Ares supposed to move sideway? Because for me, it seems that it is basically a normal hull which will drift when it turns
