imo its impossible. not only do you have to account for different terrain when travelling, earth itself will be in a different position when you travel. so even if you do manage to go back in time, you may just end up spawning in middle of open space and die. There's too many variables for it to ever be real. IF humans ever manage to travel at the speed of light, there is a theory that we can slow time for ourselves while we travel at this speed while it ticks on normally for others outside of it. So you could live longer, I guess.
