    Bugs: 1. When the game is searching for a match you can't click on the play button again to cancel the search anymore. 2. A weird tiny grey dot is in the middle of the screen during matches.

    In other words, what are the most revered tanks in the game for you. I guess tactics and skill should also be included, as well as what the game mode is.

  4. Sounds like RFM could be a good choice then. Stock when I want to snipe, RFM when I want to be aggressive. Do you think RFM is the best augment for short range battle with Shaft?
  5. I like my Shaft to get stronger at short range so I'd be more versatile. Is adrenaline the best augment for that?

    Are you at a disadvantage at Mk7+ if you don't use a turret augment?

    I use Shaft and thought I'd get Rapid Fire Mode. Apparently it makes scope mode shots much weaker. I want to also snipe though so I thought I'd switch between RFM and original. Will I be at a disadvantage using original?

    Well I wouldn't want the teams to constantly have to rush around across the map to capture and recapture territory. A light tank speeding across the map does not capture the territories it drives through. So it should probably take a longer time than in CP to capture a territory. I see that you play Tanki e-sport? I guess you're quite knowledgable then. Do you think this would do what I hoped?

    I was thinking that if there's no territory that's "strongly held", where teammates can spawn, either the enemy team wins, or the tanks left have some time, probably just 30-20 s maybe, on a timer to recapture "strongly held" territory, while dead teammates can't spawn until then.

    It might make matches more varying though? Because the teams decide for themselves which areas of the map are more valuable to hold (easier to defend or snipe enemies from, etc) so they can use the map more creatively. I also prefer CP far more than SGE. I think if my gamemode encouraged holding territories that are surrounded by the enemy's territory it might stand apart more from CP. Imagine a small group of teammates speeding across the map at the start to capture a spot near the enemies that is easy to defend, then laying a lot of mines there and giving their all to hold out for as long as possible, scoring a lot of points as they do so.

    Ideas for Game Modes!

    It might seem similar to control points, except you don't capture specfic points but territory on the map. This makes the teams able to use the map's advantageous spots more creatively, since they can decide where they want to fight for territory on the map. The match is also more varying, since the territories of the teams can shift wildly, like change sides of the map, split into smaller territories, etc. The team's spawn in a corner of the map, close togheter. As they move over the map they capture territory. To capture territory you must be present in it for a certain time, so racing across the map in a fast hull doesn't capture territory. Territories where few tanks die/take damage the territory is "strong" and your team can spawn there. Territories where teammates often die/take damage/changing sides often the territory is "weak" and your team can't spawn there example Each team have a small amount of territory that is surrounded by other team, it's "weak" which means that tanks can't spawn there - they're on their own to survive. The teams get more points for these spots because they are surrounded, so they're worth fighting for for the tanks trapped, and to reinforce by trying to drive to them with more tanks.

    When I've clicked on the play button and the game searches for a match I can't click on the play button again to stop the search. It used to be handy, if I decided to change what game mode I want to play for example.
  13. I can imagine it's a beast. ? Btw does Mammoth's overdrive add 3 more speed or 50% of whatever the current speed is? I can't imagine it's the latter because it seems crazy but I have to ask.

Hm, I'm not sure why heavy hulls with Trickster are bad in capture modes on large maps, because Trickster boosts Mk7+ Mammoth's speed to 11.8 - close to 12, the light hull's speed, and faster than 11.3, a medium with speed boost - and it can keep that speed almost constantly with 3 s cool down. It seems like it should have a decent chance of attacking and running away with a captured flag, at least to me. And Mammoth's overdrive would add even more speed, though only temporarily. Do you know how much? According to wiki, +50%, but is that +50% of the original speed (which is 6, so 3 more speed) or +50% of whatever the current speed happens to be? That sounds kinda insane so I guess not? ? About Defender, well I wanted a drone that could make Mammoth Shaft work better offensively, since I like both to camp and attack. How does Mammoth + Shaft Rapid fire augment + Defender sound for playing offensively? Well Crisis seems to be a real super drone but I don't think I'll feel like buying lots of containers to hope to get it... I'm sure the chances aren't too good. ?

Sounds like I'm probably wrong then, more or less, because you certainly seem to know more about TO than me so I respect your opinions, but I've seen different opinions from people who also seem knowledgable about the game, like DestroTank, who said that a F2P player can be competitive with buyers as long as they followed their advice, which they generously gave in a thread somewhere. If they're right then the game seems to be, at least to me, more F2P friendly than in the legacy skin days. (unless I remember wrong how it was back then)

I don't know if Tanki is losing players or have become increasingly pay-2-win over the years, but I've played Tanki on and off since the legacy skin days and I think the current Tanki is much more fun. Protection modules, drones and augments made the game more complex and built on the idea of building your own tank and playstyle. It's also become generous with giving supplies to players. Unless I remember wrong, in the legacy days you got very few for free and it was very difficult to get enough crystals to spare for supplies, so buyers who constantly used supplies (which boosted speed, damage and HP 100%) were very powerful. Pay-to-win now seems to mostly be about some OP augments, but I honestly rather meet those occasionally in matches than the issue with the supplies back in the legacy days. But again, I might remember wrong. Getting enough crystals to upgrade turrets and hulls also depended very heavily on being among the top players in your team if I remember correctly. The nr 1 player would get much more than the nr 2, and the bottom half almost none. So if you weren't very good and could, somehow, compete against the pay-2-win supply users, you basically couldn't upgrade anymore to be competitive after a certain rank and had to start a new account to enjoy the game again. Now the main way to get crystals is from finishing the very easy missions, and doing well in battles doesn't seem to be necessary to get enough crystals to upgrade at least 1 turret and 1 hull to be competitive, so it seems to be much, much more player friendly.
  17. I should've said that I enjoy camping with Mammoth Shaft but I like to occasionally attack too, even though I know that it's not an ideal combo for that. It seems to work quite well though, at least for me - the arcade shots does good damage, and using scope mode can work too as long as you don't fight more than 1 or 2 enemies at once. I don't know how it is at the highest rank though. I play with other accounts than the one I use here on the forum and the highest rank I reached was Captain. I found a list of advice for F2P players though and wanted to start a new account to follow that to make sure I can upgrade to competitive. The advice says to only upgrade 1 turret and 1 hull, so I've tested different hulls and turrets in accounts to be sure of which I like. I know that Brutus is the drone to get at those ranks and the other ones will have to come way, way later, but I enjoy asking questions still. I appreciate the advice! Ill look into those drones,
  18. Thanks for the heads up. I can't argue against that the drone works well for how you play, but its stats makes me think that a player might get get full value out of it in ambushes or duels against high-damage weapons. But if a Vulcan or Smoky can shut off the effect from across the map it seems to be of limited value even at long ranges. I'd also worry about collecting enough repair kits as a F2P player to use it. Thanks for the recommendation though, I appreciate it ?
  19. I forgot to ask, does the default 100% damage and armor boost shut off too?
  20. Does the effect shut off instantly after you've taken damage or is it a sliding scale the more damage you take the less the effect?
  21. Gorgeous! IConic's Dictator Shaft is especially stunning ? Seems like legacy hulls with complicated turret skins is a winning idea ? And I usually think those are a bit "too much".

    Is this turret meant to be as a sort of alternative to Vulcan? Because it seems like there are similarities with how they're used.

  25. I've heard that these two drones are the best for Mammoth. I only use Mammoth Shaft and would like it to work better with playing aggressively and I guess that either of them could help with that. ? Trickster with mobility obviously aswell as getting more kills during overdrive, and Defender with taking damage when you attack then sit still to charge up Shaft. Mammoth with Trickster is supposedly one of the best builds for capture modes which sounds fun but I don't know I'd pick it just for that.
